I watched and fell in love with Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, which is how I found this series. School Days was listed as a recommended series. I'll be honest at first this series starts off exactly like any other harem. And to my disappointment it continues along that path until the very last episode.
Granted the last episode will leave you jaw jacked and awe struck, but it took too long for the shit to hit the fan in my opinion.
