P U R E - P E R F E C T I O N
I was originally gonna start this review with this (when I started ep 9)
"I am gonna first talk about the thing I HATE ABOUT THIS SHOW, is that it's suppose to be ordinary, and how many people hated the 'filler' eps those were my best eps, as that is what it's suppose to symbolize and not this whole ass hard core criminal storyline, cuz this then just turns into child detetvie trope, detection q, conan, kindaichi etc"

But after completing ep 9, my heart went steady again, and I was proved wrong, that NO, THEIR IS NOT A SINGLE THING WRONG WITH THIS ANIME, not ONE
With the quote above(start of the review) , it made it clear that the show is, was and will be ABOUT CHASING THE ORDINARY as stated in the title
I was hoping for something hyouka esque
I got something diff completely which just shows yonesawa's writing capabilities, his these two works r WORLDS APART
Coming to the world
So. Much filling and vibrance in a world which is exactly empty,
I have seen shows, post covid prods which visibly become empty, desolate, this show, literally. At most u can see two characters for most of ep, but still it's so filled in rich, lived in world, the rusty pavements, the cocao milk marks in cup,
In the ep6 where kobato and waw-toh-sawn were sitting in the ramen shop, it was literally them and still assets
But
The giggles, the counter remarks, the sound, te chatter, the speaker whistle, cooking sounds and no music mind u, literally made it fkin LIVED IN
And this is the diff between rdr2 and gta v, and why I always prefer rdr2 as best games every created, and gta not even in the barrel
This anime gave a vibe of ONE OF A KIND Jdrama and a great kdrama, IT FELT REAL but animated at same time
I got mislead into thinking by people, that it was actually not that good, by Mal reviews and people in this group, but Damm oh Damm what a complete 360 turn of events FOR ME SUBJECTIVELY
I still dont understabd the 7.31 score, I can't justify it
Here people want DIFFERENT ANIME, than just generic predictable brain rots
This was literally diff, this is their ages x their GENERATION'S

Just wanna talk about one
Dojima = watson banter ( a play on classic CASE BRINGING CHARACTERS)
He was meant to be watson
(waw-aww-toh-sawn), without doubt, not the observer but the one who brings the cases
Regarding the "mysterjes", if we can quantify it like that
I could connect to the mystery at a much more personal lvl, cuz that's literally what I do and used to do, posisbilites IN "HOW CAN I SUBVERT THIS situation" , how would I respond, how can i eat the extra shit without anybody suspecting or feeling doubtful, how can i successfully copy notes without them knowing or understanding even if they can see me doing it
S2 IS ANNOUNCED, and the world is STILL okay, everything still hasn't gone to shit
IT OUTDID ON ALL PARAMETERS, this is anime, this is what we stand on

"GUILTY PLEASURE"
(At the time of this writing this review, I completed this anime 7 hrs ago and got caught up with the latest manga chapter, also I will score in decimal system)
This word has been used a lot recently in the anime community, to describe two kinds of shows:-
1. Shows which start off as a romance/comedy/harem but tend to portray tasteless nudity and constant pop-ups of of unnecessary fan-service,
2. The shows describing a plot regarding TABOO relationships eg: bro x sis, pop x daughter, bro x bro, mom x son etc.
Now, in the recent years shows like KUZU NO HONAKI(2017),25-sai no
...
Joshikousei(2018) and DOMESTIC NO KANOJO(2019), garnered a lot of attention for displaying the psychological pressure on committing this TABOO, but mainly earned HATE from it, for no real reason
With these points in mind, a show comes in Spring 2019, which is not afraid in displaying this topic, but not in a dark light, in a light which can be accepted by children, ranging from the age of 13
Considering all of these, i will write a short review on each aspect
Plot/Story/Story Setting - 7.23/10
The plot is a simple unfolding of short stories wherein student and teacher get into eroge-situations, nothing more or nothing less, its set in a school for obvious reasons, and mainly centers around four students in a span of 12 eps, This is neither good or bad, but pretty average, this is the only point where the anime loses points
Implementation - 8.78/10
One of the strong points of this anime, and the reason which makes this anime unique. For 12 episodes, in the duration of 3 months, this anime continuously makes but logically-insane/ABSURD situations wherein the probability of happening these events is pretty high even in REAL LIFE, In just a span of 9 minutes the introduction and development scenes are well explained, filled with just the right amount of comic-itivity, Not a minute is wasted, one of the most smooth and friction less-transitioned frames are projected. The DIALOGUES, RETORTS, PROP MISHANDLING, LOCATION SETTING are top notch, Its a beautiful sync of many objects, including the background
Comedy of Terrors-8.03/10
This anime sits on a character based story development, wherein each anthology will get its own recognition based on how fast, loud and illogically-logical the situations are, its definitely observable that this anime is very intrinsically and smartly derived from previous ecchi failures
Character/CharacterS-8.56/10
The other strong point of this anime is the wide array of unconventional characters(male cast), At this point of time, a very rare set of characters from other anime can be put in the same category as these members, each of them realize their love without any unnecessary side character push and don't waste time conveying it, This makes the anime light and fast, blending perfectly with its backdoor nudic comedy
Character Sync-7.15/10
A better job could have been done, the story never tries to push the characters into sharing screen time with other members who are not part of their story, eg: kojima-tachibana and saya-chizuru would have had some fun moments
Character Design/Art Direction-8.12/10
This is the other strong point, Going into this anime , I thought that designs would be pretty blatant and average, but the original design matches with the well drawn expressions making one of those rare anime, where people can laugh just by watching a face
Airing Duration-7.7510
Eventhough a 23 min. episode would be too long and may make the story boring, but a 9 min. short is too SMALL, at least 18 min. would make a better compliment
Opening/Ending-8.00/10
Some R+- shows tend to have a op/ed which really touches a string inside our hearts, kissXsis being one of them for me, but now nande-sensei has been added to the lIst
OVERALL-7.86/10
A must watch and highly recommended, not only because of the comedy, but somewhere along the story,the consumer himself gets invested on the characters and joins an emotional cord with them, rooting for their TABOO ROMANCE

"Calm Carefree lazy Stubborn Underestimated Overpowered Male Protagonist"

After reading all these you may already visualized , the basic sense of our protagonist
At the time of writing this review i have caught up with the 10 chapters of with the manga, and have completed with 38 chapter of volume 1 in the light novel, So even if my review many not be apt , it will be close how you will feel when you read the main content
First I would like you to completely disregard the user rating provided on this site,

because of the irregularity in judging a work with a system of very low number of active users
Now coming to the light novel, I will write a short review on each element of literary style used
Story - 7.53/10
I bet you may have read and seen a lot work done on isekai genre or on Meta-genre(please remember this meta-genre thing), and i will be blunt here , the story is pretty average , a boy and a girl get transported to another world .For the sake of compelling cliffhangerial system, MC has some mystery behind him, the world has some mystery behind it, the main antagonist has mystery behind him/her, the main girl has some quirky way of adjusting and pacing herself to the plot and the MC, just like any other Isekai work, but the changing point is not in the story but the way it is implemented
Story Setting and implementation - 8.56/10
Here is the first CHANGING POINT from mainstream isekai , no real , logical or rationally sane way was used to transport the characters, unlike other works, where the main story starts before the MC realizes, in this case, the MC is the one who is not important to the story, if he lives or dies nothing will happen to the setting of the story, because the protagonist has no ulterior motive for surviving , or producing a Harem , or being friends on journey with people he/she just saved, Our main guy is a simple and relatable guy who could be defined with two words, LIKABLE JERK. He just wants to do whatever the story tells him to do , as if the protagonist and the author are working together . This is where the "Meta thing" comes in , the way story is told, it is as if the author was communicating(breaking the 4th wall) to the readers without actually using any references , or direct dialogues. When people read it , they will feel as if the author is telling them , "this is the convinent plot device i used to make the pages go longer" or "this a general tsundere girl but i will project her like a character which you people will not be able to justify".
i know its pretty confusing to understand , but once you read the light novel you will almost hear your own voice inside you laughing at the way the author has put this story, Its like an open book for everyone to delve and analyze, and this is what i liked about the novel, the way its implemented , the level and choice of words used to express a characters inner workings is what made this tedious and hectic looking work, easy.
Dialogues - 9/10
Each dialogue in each page has a goric laughter to it, an oxymoronic sense , The reason your brain will be compelled to read the next word is because the way it was written , steady pace literature, high pitched annotations, overlapping surrealistic conversations. All of these and much more will force you to imagine an intimate live visuals of the characters, as if you can almost hear their voices. This way of writing is unique and I, last witnessed it in the works of Roald Dahl and screenplays Quentin Trantino
Panel Placement , outlining , Detailing, Background coloring and drawing,screen tone effect - 7.68/10
This the only problem even with manga . Even though each panels have been suggestively places for a smooth transition from a talking scene to fighting scene , the outlining blurs the total aspect from a retrospective view and makes the characters and the pages look hard and strainful, The screen tone works are done pretty well , The SFX can be easily adjusted and allows newcomer manga readers to look at the content carefully , However due to dull detailing , the fighting scene are little hard to grasp , fireballs and magical rays are indistinguishable , but it is compensated by the background drawing and screen tones.
Character Design , Art direction and character movement - 8.26/10
Except the character's hair line, almost every character, be it either main or supporting , face is original and well drawn, this type of drawing will be hard to adapt by an old studio house like bones, ufotable ,madhouse and kyoani, but given time it has the potential to revolutionize the way characters are drawn , The facial tics, face proportion , design of eyes , detail work on clothing and accessories are well above perfect and is highly commendable.
Character -9.95/10
It is a waste to write about the characters , as I can guarantee that anyone who truly understands the enjoyment of Japanese media , will well beyond appreciate the way these character are written, We may be able to analyze their behavioral pattern but we will never able to comprehend how their next action will affect us internally. That's how unique the characters are. These characters will make you forget all your worries regarding life and regarding the loop holes in the story pacing,but that just goes to show how rich and colorful these black and white characters are.
Overall - 7.98/10
Technically(taking everything in factor) an overall rating is 7/10 but i assure this is the only manga which has the potential to dissolve the success of manga like One punch man and light novels like Sword art online
Enjoyment - 9.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999/10
The only reason i did not give a 10 is because i have not completed the manga or the light novel, but i assure that if anyone could give me reasons for not enjoying this manga , i will pay the price equivalent to the cost of first 2 volumes of this manga and light novel combined, that's how confident i am.
Lastly , If you read this uptill now then you have certainly gained something , but if you reading this just after looking at the numbers then you seriously need think on mental patience.
