This show felt really slow with 0 progression at all throughout the entire series. Nothing happens until the very last episode. It's more like a psychological thriller than horror since it has more cryptic messages than gore. The only horror factors were the dead animals and Kimi's mom being in a jar. Some scenes made 0 sense, such as the shaved ice party and the morning prayers.

I watched this over a year ago but I am still in awe over how beautifully animated this is. The visuals once you start watching are absolutely amazing and keeps you watching. It’s also a quiet anime which is perfect for watching on a slow, rainy day. The story is also your usual slow burn love story but it’s worth it at the end and I also believe it’s the perfect storyline for the way this movie is animated.
