I had very little expectation for this anime when I first started watching because of the plot description. I still gave it a try because why not and I must say I was pleasantly surprised.
Think of it as Maison Ikkoku but with aliens and what not.
Plot: 6/10 The generic cute girl (albeit alien), loser guy trope
Art: 9/10 Only because the expressions of the characters are hilarious. Gintama vibes for sure
Music: 7/10 The op and ed are pretty catchy
Characters: 7/10 They are all likeable and there's not that one character that can make you hate the entire franchise (looking at you, Asuna from
...
Evangeleon)
All in all, not a must watch anime. At all. But it's entertaining. And a nice, lighthearted watch. Just give it a try when you're feeling down. Or don't. Whatever floats your boat. :)

This was a bit of a fall from Jaku Chara Tomozaki S1 (which says a lot since that was a solid 6/10 at max).
In this season, we basically waste the first 5 or 6 episodes on an arc about a secondary character who no one cares about, and her bullying issue. Then we waste the remaining on a school festival. In the meantime, our hero is somehow shoved into a love triangle with Minami and Kikuchi, which was a little bit forced and an asspull from the author. Of course Tomozaki chose Kikuchi because the author enjoys drinking the tears of Minami fans, it's what
...
keeps him alive. I was ok with him choosing anyone because let's be honest, we all know Aoi is the final boss/main girl so no matter who it is right now, gets dumped in the final arc. But my issue was how little the buildup was to the Minami-Tomozaki angle, and even the Kikuchi-Tomozaki dynamic was almost non existent in the episodes. Yes, the season showed progress, but it felt extremely rushed because most of the episodes were used for worthless stuff, like the play that got too much screen time, that no one asked for. For me, this season felt like a step backward, and I'd be surprised if the show gets renewed for another season.
Tldr: it's even worse than the first season, and the girl with the personality of a second hand sofa is winning...for now.

If you hear that the buzz words "mystery", "psychological", "adventure" are part of an anime, and yet it ends up being horrifyingly boring and monotonous, you're probably watching Sonny Boy. Let's go over what makes it so bad in some detail.
Plot: 5/10: Random kids isekai'd to another world with an asspull explanation? Who would have thought? Oh well, 500 other manga authors apparently.
Plot Execution: 0.0001/10: How such poor execution is even allowed is beyond me. The plot moves at snail pace, and I really needed to have 3 sittings to finish a 24 minute episode because I constantly found myself drifting to sleep. That, coming
...
from someone who can watch the entire 64 episode Monster in 2 sittings over 2 days says a lot about how criminally boring Sonny Boy is. The absolute refusal of the producers to have any sort of coherence or flow among the scene shifts enrages me to a point that can't be described appropriately on a PG site like MAL.
Characters: 1.3/10: I would love to say I've never seen a less compelling cast of characters who compel the audience to not give a single F about them, but unfortunately that title still belongs to Golden Time, which is arguably the worst anime I've ever watched (sorry Sonny Boy). The characters, nonetheless are so emo, edgy, dead, boring, with as much personality as a dead buffalo, that you're constantly banging your head out of sheer agony.
Music: 0/10: what music? :)
Ending: -33/100: 12 episodes pack with excruciating pain for THAT ending? I should have watched cement set instead.
Art: 6/10: Is this sort of minimalism really necessary in 2021? Still, it was probably the best feature of this anime (which says more about the anime than it does about the art).
So should you watch it?
No, unless you're a masochist.
It was so bad I need a detox now. I'll probably have to quit anime for some months. Save yourself the suffering. I'm begging you.

Attack on Titan started off with a lot of promise: a revenge story against the huge murderous titans. How it fell from there all the way to the protagonist becoming the antagonist, for an extremely stupid reason (he was "depressed") makes for extremely mediocre storytelling.
Perhaps the author intended to make him evolve like Lelouch or Light Yagami, but not enough effort is put into making his character develop from the naive yet well meaning tragic hero, to a psychopathic nihilist warmonger (who is justified somehow for being so). The author fails miserably to make the audience feel sorry for him, or hate him either. He
...
evolves from a protagonist with no charisma and personality to a villain with no charisma and personality. Maybe he was intended to become an anti hero on the same level as Lelouch, but he ended up being worse than Ouma Shou (guilty crown) in the same genre of anti heroes. The female lead Mikasa had zero character development as well, and she's basically just Sakura from Naruto except going Eren Kun Eren Kun instead of Sasuke Kun Sasuke Kun. Her not dying in the finale was disappointing because if Eren is her whole life, she might as well have been put out of her misery. Other than that, here are the individual ratings:
Art: 7/10 it actually got worse after S3
Characters: 2/10 Levi fails to carry an otherwise lukewarm cast of forgettable characters
Plot Twists: -3/10 No plot twists would have been better than the ones that drove this anime from a potential 8/10 to a 3/10
Music: 8/10 The only saving grace
Plot Progression: 7/10 It might be a terrible plot but hey it progresses!
Overall: 3/10 Watch it because you wasted your time on 88 episodes to get here, and then curse your fate.

I will be honest. I had saved this anime for a special watch because just from the synopsis, I thought it would be one of the best anime of its genre. Sadly, that was not the case.
Story 4: Just the mc and female lead fighting and wallowing in self pity and loathing for 24 episodes straight, in a cliched amnesia setting executed extra poorly.
Art 6: The usual. Nothing bad, but nothing special either.
Sound 3: Mediocre opening. Atmospheric music worse than if it didn't exist.
Characters 1: The "young adult" MCs are surprisingly childish. The heroine is so thoroughly unlikeable and she has no redeeming qualities. The
...
hero has the charisma and personality of an overused second hand doormat. No matter what the other girls were like, you'd have found yourself rooting for another girl
This is a classic 'the worst girl won' romance anime.
Enjoyment 1: Hardly anything to enjoy here, unless you like 24 episodes of a dragged melodrama even brown aunties wouldn't like. The cringe was so hard that I needed to detox myself.
Dialogs 1: Cliched and cringeworthy. Nothing you'd not want to forget with 10 beers.
Overall 3: There are anime that are so bad that they are good. Unfortunately, this isn't one of them. It made me give up the romance genre for a month. I hate myself more after watching it than I did earlier. It's one of those anime that can ruin your life. This is one of them. You have been warned.

Spoiler Warning ⚠️
Attack on Titan started off with a lot of promise. The initial plot was how an underdog hero defeats Titans to avenge his loss. The expectation on day 1 was an unpowered hero fighting against all odds to win. However this soon gets dispelled when he gets his first free power up and becomes a Titan himself.
As if that is not bad enough, he gets gradually more overpowered with each season. By the time it was time for the final fight, he not only had one Titan's powers, but 3 or 4. So is the only problem that he is OP?
Sadly, no. The
...
plot is supposedly extremely dark, but somehow tries, albeit unsuccessfully, to add lightness and "humor" in an interwoven manner. However, that comedy can be described as unsuccessful at best, and cringe at worst.
Next, the characters are hardly iconic. If we make an exception for Levi, the whole cast is forgettable, and it is really hard to care for what happens to most of them. Mikasa, supposedly the female lead is nothing short of a glorified labrador whose only goal in life is to protect Eren and get in his pants. Armin, the tritagonist is well meaning, but his plans backfire more than Ryotsu Kanchichi's. Connie and the rest are annoying, and many people have voiced their displeasure for him not dying in the end.
But is that all? Of course not! The biggest flaw in AoT is the deviation in the central plot from underdog pure hearted hero to an emotionless psychopath. If the author had just accepted that as bad writing and apologized, it would have been ok. But he attempted to explain it with even worse decisions like "depression by seeing the future". Eren goes from a likeable little puppy to a forgettable villain with the charisma of a third hand television set in 20 episodes and that's an amazingly bad writing achievement. The ending does no one any favors, and it sort of deficates on everything the franchise sought to build over nearly a decade. Is it a one watch? Yes. Is it an all time great. Good lord, no!
Art 9: can't criticize such nice art
Story 2: started well but the decline was crazy, and by the end of it all, the author completely lost the plot
Enjoyment 5: I don't regret watching it but I'll never re-watch it again. Ever.
Animation 9: can't complain here. A studio with a huge budget certainly helps
Overall 6: It was a bit better than ok

This is an anime that keeps you guessing. Not that it's complex or requiring a high IQ. It just keeps you guessing why someone created it.
Story 4: It's where the villain plays code Geass with no explanation on HOW
Art 6: The usual. Nothing bad, but nothing special either.
Sound 1: The music is non existent, if you can call it music. The atmosphere is more dead than the viewers' interest by the time you reach ep 6.
Characters 1: Character development? What's that?! The characters are neither likeable nor relatable by the way.
Enjoyment 1: There is literally nothing to enjoy. Unless of course you want the bad
...
guys to win. Like what was even the purpose of this anime? If I could go back in time, I promise to skip this and watch cement set.
Overall 1: There are anime that are so bad that they are good. Unfortunately, this isn't one of them. It's so bad that it's not only "not good", it is also in the running for one of the worst shows (and not just anime) in history. Don't watch. I'm begging you.
