The previous two movies on this series were great however this one just falls flat on its face. If you are reading this you are probably already familiar with how this series works, it's a character driven drama, where the climax is very important. So I'll be straight with why this movie is not as good as its preceding two: It's anticlimactic.
First 25 minutes of the movie is just entirely slice of life. Only around the 30th minute we're actually introduced to the main premise of the movie. And what I mean by 'slice of life' is entirely 'slice of life'. During Dreaming Girl,

Is Makeine even a romance?
After 11 episodes, it doesn't look like they're developing any romantic feelings for each other. Okay. The romance might just be a slow burner. So I did some research and even in the latest LN chapters, their relationship stays entirely platonic. Why does the author not want to introduce romance to his perfectly fleshed out characters. This manga is unnecessarily dark/sad that its barely even enjoyable.
All of the characters (especially the main character) are all genuinely not even a good person. To the point that we can't even sympathize with anyone. (skip this paragraph spoilers) Let me explain why its unnecessarily dark with bitches as characters There's this one bully at school. She bullies Main character cuz she got friendly with her crush...
