Similarities: - Both shows are about people trapped in a game which has become a new reality to them. - The MCs are veteran gamers. - Both Shiroe and Kirito initially refuse to join a guild, but end up becoming part of one. - In both shows, there are multiple female characters who have romantic feelings towards the MC. - Both MCs have a bad reputation, although they aren't actually evil or bad people. - There are guilds that are consisted of PK(Player Kill)ers. Differences: - Shiroe is a tactician who stands at the back and assists his allies with his enchanter skills, while Kirito is a swordsman who fights in frontline. - There are political and economical aspects in Log Horizon. In the other hand, SAO features romance. - Shiroe forms a new guild to make a home for his friends, but Kirito was forced to join one after losing a duel. - Shiroe has more friends and allies compared to Kirito. - The characters of SAO worry about their bodies in the real world, but there is no mention about that in Log Horizon. - Characters of Log Horizon are to revived upon death, but death in the game equals death in reality in SAO.

Differences: - Yukiteru relies on the heroine(Yuno), but Alucard hacks down his enemies with minimum help. - In Mirai Nikki the characters play a "game" of 12 players, but Hellsing features a "war" of three factions. - Mirai Nikki was censored, but Hellsing wasn't. - (In my opinion) The animation of Hellsing is way better than Mirai Nikki.
