I am a big fans of the manga...and to be honest...it is very difficult to say I enjoy the anime adaptation. I put a perfect 10 score for this movie in regards of the perfectly beautiful story telling of the manga.
It should be very hard to fit in 60+ chapter into a 2 hrs worth of movie...and I don't think its a good idea either. Proved me right.
I don't know with audience that never been reading the manga...but as far as myself...I am hardly understand the story chronologically. I read the manga a few year ago, quite long span of time and I have missed
...
so many details I can recall...I can say I am having a hard time with the movie.
The movie is indeed beautiful.....but it is fail to capture the entire details.....the manga is much more beautiful in that regard. Believe me....read the manga first.
I hardly feel the connection I felt when I read the manga and I feel disappointed really.
Dont get me wrong. The story is one of the most gorgeous and brilliant I have ever know. The movie clipped here and there and it is way too many flaw to have a better understanding of the entire story.
Artwise: This is truly an amazing art I saw and I am thankful to whoever working with the animation for bringing my favorite manga into life.
Sound: I can feel that at some point of the movie that it doesn't really matched the portrayed feeling from the scene but it is nice and heart touching.
End:
I am not entirely happy about the output of the movie since I am LOVING the manga so much. I re-read the entire series and I still feel the same agony I felt few years back when the manga was released chapter by chapter.
I just hope instead of movie...the anime will be a series of minimum 12 or 24 episodes long to be able capture every single details (Especially the ferris wheel scenery, the movie making chapters, and many more)
BIG NOTE FOR WHOEVER NOT READING THE MANGA YET AND PLAN TO WATCH THE MOVIE:
DON'T....please proceed to the manga first. I beg you. Don't make a mistake you don't want to by spoiling yourself with the movie.

Ajin series is the definition of masterpiece. I am truly delighted, can't believe how many times I want to throw my 'mouse' watching the episodes..like...shinjiranai! !$!@#!@ How did things like that happening! It really amaze me how perfect Satou is as an antagonist and bringing up the entire series into climax on each episode. The pace of the story is really great! It was steady high up the entire way from 1st season to 2nd season. Nagai is develop very well throughout the entire series, altho he is absolutely beyond a high schooler in term of mental...and Nakano made up that and they both make
...
a great balance in the protagonist side, as well as Tanaka on the antagonist side. The story providing a 3 way of battle which involve Nagai, Satou, and the government which make the excitement jump over the roof!
At first from the 1st season I don't really fond with the CG type of animation but since the very first episode the pace and climax already start jump to the roof and ever since until the very last episode of the 2nd season...it's an unbelievable race!
Every each character in the series is very strong in term of background and why they do what they did. The author already mentioning the basic rules of what Ajin can do normally and keep on feeding us little by little by introducing character like Professor Oguro, and THAT really paid off in the end! I got convinced of what Ajin can and what Ajin (or in that regard IBM) cannot do....and that last episode 13 of 2nd season...it totally shook me of what Nagai can do (well I know he is special, but that I never expect)
To be honest a LOT..TONS of Ajin part that I don't expect, especially both Satou and Nagai tactical strategy and the field execution which is of course, not going according to plan.
Also, the existence of my ship of Tosaki and bae 'Shimomura Izumi' (she is totally bae, can't believe that kind of relation is pretty strong for a boss and subordinate). I kinda remember this kind of relation from Psycho-Pass series...but the purity obedience from Izumi to Tosaki catch me deep. (I just wish at some point Izumi showing that actually she is having a feeling for Tosaki, but that doesn't seems gonna be happening for the meanwhile, who knows)
Every moment of Ajin really high and leave a deep hard breathing, very thrilling...from the very first up to the very last od the 2nd season.
Arrrgghghhhh! I want to scream! My God...I grit my teeth the entire last 5 episode of the 2nd season.
If you like gun shooting, tactical, sci-fi, supernatural and the element of surprise an anime with face pace can bring? See nothing else...Ajin it is. As additional note, Ajin is really great for binge watching since it doesn't need hard screenwriting to digest and the pace is high enough to make you demand the next episode right after you finish one.

Occultic Nine is another dark anime involving mind bending story and so to say, mind bending timeline. You need to pay really big attention with the timeline, especially when the DATE appearing on the screen (3rd of March is the main date where everything is start happening).
Ok, back again to the topic. Honestly, the concept of the story is really great, mystery keep happening the entire series and I always have this feeling of want to know what gonna happen on the next episode with STRONG curiosity.
The only hard time I have finishing the series is catching up with the SCREENWRITING. Yes, the screenwriting...if you
...
don't know what is screenwriting, in short it is the dialogue. I am not a native Japanese and I DON'T like watching dubbed anime so I have quite hard time following the barrage of the subtitle while trying to catch up with what's exactly going on. It seems like the series cramped screenwriting of 24 Episode series into 12 Episodes series. EVERYBODY talk WAAYYYYY too fast and I feel like watching the anime on a rollercoaster. Seriously...it's a high speed train, the paces can feel like out of hand, some episode was feels really fast that I don't even feel ..."What? Did I just finish a 20 Min worth of Episode...what?"
This is the first time I met this kind of story so I could say that it's kinda original and fresh. I love it from the bottom of my heart but since this rollercoaster series going full speed from the start up to the very last episode but BOOM! the last episode was stopping in a FULL BREAK and I feel like ...errghh,,,what's the term of it..ah! yeah right! I feel like WHIP LASHED! That's the perfect word. Imagine you ride a rollercoaster and then suddenly its stop after running 100km/h. No no no, not that I don't like the ending (or so I wish it have a better ending but it doesn't) The way the story closed looks like it will have 2nd season or something so yeah...it is a bit hanging. So in summary, Occultic Nine leave me WHIP LASHED HANGING *lmao *cry
The art & animation? Always love Studio A1 and I will say EVERYTHING is IDENTICAL with SHELTER (that MV of Porter Robinson song) except that SHELTER have much better animation detail but that doesn't mean Occultic Nine not good, in fact thumbs up with the art, I enjoyed it so much (Just try to adapt with those nose drawings, it's a tad odd but yeah..it is odd). It is exactly like SHELTER but with far darker ambience.
Character. The entire series is filled with tons of type of character (except lollicon and tsundere) and all of them coming from different background, not knowing each other and then one by one introduced to each other through a perfect chain of events and all great. Secret after secret, mystery after mystery, why after why revealed one by one and connected to each other finishing the puzzle.
One thing I would suggest is try to open your mind to the logic, flip your head a bit because this series is good in term of mind bending. It is filled with rationally impossible theories (something beyond science yet the entire series is close to science) so I would say Occultic Nine is involving Sci-Fi genres in the process.
I am excited the entire series due to the lively ambience combo Ryotas and Gamotan and I enjoy the rollercoaster. I like the theme song and the soundtrack as well, it is not boring by any means. I found Occultic Nine pretty similar with Durarara in a lot of ways with ADDITIONAL SPEED and MIND BENDING SCI-FI.

For start, I love SAO. Altho I can't tell it anymore since it have been a long time since I watched it, so I forgot most of the details other than the main storyline. I just knew that SAO actually have a second season few months ago but not that excited since people saying its not that nice compared to the first season and I don't wanna ruin my experience with SAO, so I put it on my list. I honestly happy with the finishing of the first SAO so I'm not so demanding with another sequel
I just finish the first 17 Episodes of SAO
...
II (And definitely gonna update it once I finished it, altho I am not sure if I'm gonna change my opinion with the second arc)
So quite identical with the SAO, SAO II split into 2 arc where I love the first arc story much more than the second arc. But! In first SAO, the second arc still have a big connection to the first arc and the thrill of romance in which Kirito fighting for Asuna was so adorable, so I would say....while in SAO II, the second arc is underwhelming, somewhat ugly. Hey wait...I really love the first arc honestly.
Let me explain.
I was hyped to watch SAO II and the first GGO Arc was superb. Animation, storyline, new character (Sinon is a really strong character with a strong background, and she is so to say..I can hardly decide which one I prefer..to ship Kirito with Asuna or Kirito with Sinon, but yeah my feeling toward Sinon is rather an empathy because of his tragic past, yes I ship Kirito and Asuna) Ok...sorry about that. Back to the things! Every aspect of the first arc SAO II was amazing. ED theme song really beautiful (Love those Sinon spinning spinning lol, nice artwork) In term of story, the first arc have a strong concept which is related with the previous season. I love the storyline, it swung my feeling to so many way and how Sinon develop her character is very good.
The closing episode of the first arc was very good, I would say almost perfect (if actually Sinon fell in love with Kirito, confess and got shoot down by Kirito ) I can see how the story settling down anti-climax.
But the the second arc blow it by bits. Sinon join Kirito party just like nothing ever happen and I feel so sad and dissapointed. The story itself feels like filler arc that only tried to extend the series to the miserable point (just like any other anime with filler arcs, never been good) The animation quality not as engaging as the first arc. I don't know why is it like that. The first arc was so AMAZING, I am really entertained with the combat, camera angle, special art effect, slow motions on special battle, but it was gone in the second arc. Maybe because of ALO theme was just like that or what idk. Or maybe the production got exhausted from the first arc and 2nd arc just true fillers. Who knows.
I still in the 17th episode and still going but slower and I got filled with other series as well...so yeah..I kinda discourage to continue the second arc story (which is sad since the first arc I binge watch it in two days)
In short! I love the GGO Arc story and dissapointed with the second ALO (Calibur Arc Story) But I can't help to give a high rating of 9 for SAO II since it is a waste if people doesnt watch that GGO Arc story because of the second arc drag it down.
So please people.....enjoy the first arc story of GGO! It is worth to watch so much!
UPDATE:
So there are actually 3! 3 arc Story in SAO II, I never expect that honestly.
I just finished the series and I would say that the last arc 'Mother's Rosario' is awesome in a different way than any previous SAO arc. 'Calibur' arc is totally trash and doesn't have any meaningful story, while 'Mother's Rosario' have a very strong and deep story and screenwriting and it gave me a different perspective about what the whole VRMMO can do to humanity based on the story, or in other words, the author actually taking the story to the next level in blurring the reality into the virtual reality in a beautiful choice of conflict. It looks shallow about how Zekken appearing and all stuffs but strangely I have trouble holding back my tears because of the dialogue kick me on the perfect spots, like a combo 11 from Yuuki. I never expect that the story develop in a totally different way from SAO that I know....and for that I give standing applause. I love 'Mother's Rosario' and one more comment is that last ending theme song 'Shirushi' is totally killer in term of lyric which is fit in perfectly with the arc.
It totally broke my tears that actually with this "If I was born only to die, then what was my purpose to be born in this world?" Oh well....I won't give you more than that tho...try watch the series yourself and brace yourself because it will be hurt.
In short...'Mother's Rosario' have flipped perspective from SAO first season but have the exactly the same thing...
It is a fight to stay alive.
CHEERS!

I am totally having a blast with Death Parade. Truly I am. There is not so many series where I can have this much emotions compressed in one place. Seeing how it did damage to my emotions (my eyes and my faces as well), it shed tears and joy at the same time, I can't give it less than 10.
First, let me say that at first I was a bit sceptical about Death Parade. It was slow and boring, there was not so many intrigued to start with, just a tad of curiosity about the story and the slight interest of the game for me
...
to continue the series.
But the last few episode was where it really kick my stomach, where I started to feel the pain in my chest. It feels so hurt. For what Decim describe as "Sorrow"
I don't think anybody can withstand not to cry at the last two episode, so if you are going to watch this, brace yourself for it. No matter how strong your wall is...it will crumble I believe.
Trick when watching this (or any other psychological series):
Try to follow it slowly and digest the dialogue depth. You need to really understand what makes Decim, how does actually have no feeling to start with. The concept of it's screenwriting has a deep philosophic meaning and as many great anime out there...it teach us something about life.
There would I say:
Story 10/10: It give me a far different perspective from each character seeing their believes. It doesn't break what us (audience) wanted when it finished....but certainly it doesn't give us what we wanted easily.,it swayed in a way we never expect, so beautiful, so unpredictable. If it's perhaps slight different way of ending (let's say Chiyaki sent to a different place which I can't say because it will ruin everything) it will be a total riot from me (>.<). Well who doesn't love a happy ending, darou?
Art 10/10: The way character illustrated is kinda different (especially female face) and I am quite fond with the difference in many anime I have watched so far. And as per any other aspect, it support the story strong enough and giving the ambience that fit into a dark theme anime.
Sound 10/10: Normally I would be careless with sound unless it's beyond outstanding. And Death Parade original soundtrack is beyond fascinating. Especially, (honourable mention) Yuki Hayashi - Moonlit Parade on Episode 11. That breaks me. It really indeed a perfect punch in the perfect place at the perfect time. Altho, I would like to comment...why does so many anime with dark theme have a such lively OP theme? I can't oppose the ending, it is tragical and fit perfectly with the story. But then at the end of episode 12...I can see how "Flyers" from Bradio lift up my spirits after torn from crying it out. Kinda fit the happy ending.
Character 10/10: Everyone have purpose, and we all know that from the start. It is literally given to the audience by those 4 rules of arbiters. And from that point onwards, all of their actions is not going beyond the logic. Everything fit in the perfect place, not overcrowded with expressions or screenwriting...just maturity. The supporting role (all those dead souls) also interesting and make me think of what actually human do (or I do) if I were in their place. At the end of story, I can see what the story intended to develop Decim to, I see how he changes, how Chiyaki changes.
Overall:
I have mentioned it in the first place that I was having a blast with Death Parade..and perhaps the perfect expression for it is ...kanshashitte imasu. I would recommend you fellow audience to play along with the game, don't try to get run with how the story would go, just play with it, enjoy each game. You will get diamond in the end.
and...brace yourself for tears and joy at the end ^^

I don't think I will have much things to say since I have write most of things I wanna say about Nisekoi in the previous season. But there is one thing about Nisekoi: that I wanna say to you guys before you watch this:
Go read the manga first!
Why? I will explain. There is anime that filled with way too much filler episode like Bleach and Naruto. And here Nisekoi:.....the manga that remove filler from the manga (LMAO)
What's bad? That actually some story that removed pretty much important relation in the story (For example: Paula McCoy introduction to Raku group) Why is it important? in the
...
anime they remove that part and go direct to the Pool Cleaning which then skip why the lone 'white fang' consider to join Raku group with Haru Onodera.
And some other story I don't really recall since I read the manga after finishing Nisekoi:
Ah right..I was looking for the chapter to continue from Nisekoi: (which is happen in the chapter 101) and I start at 72 (The first time I met that shrine maiden that tell Raku have bad cursed if it's not settled before new year...which happen to be very funny) and I don't recall watching it in the anime. So I thought it was the latest chapter after ....that's what I thought until I met familiar chapter few chapter after that. Then I realize..oh man...THEY SKIPPING THE CHAPTER.
It's a bit waste actually since as slice of life comedy manga most chapter is worth the time. I'm not sure why the production team chose to do that and settle with a 12 Episodes Series filled with arc story that I don't think fitting the core storyline (I mean what the hell is that filling the series with Onodera Mahou Shoujo Patisserie)
When I notice that manga Nisekoi have 220 something chapter then I know I hate this type of anime where I got to wait forever for them to finish the story (which more often or not they don't!) Just like what happen with Tonari no Kaibutsu-Kun which was pretty shame since the manga is totally masterpiece IMO.
Oh well...still Nisekoi: have the same characteristic with Nisekoi, no different in term of presentation (Shaft as always).
I am expecting a longer series because the story is fun enough to be enjoyed in the daily basis. Oh that reminds me fellow audience....
TRY NOT TO BINGE WATCHING NISEKOI. You may enjoy it since the core story is expanded in the series of high school life of Raku.
Don't forget again...I recommend you to read the manga first (at least until Chapter 100) then you can happily watch this. Cheers!

ADDITIONAL: (After I make review Nisekoi: I got something important to say)
TRY NOT TO BINGE WATCHING NISEKOI. You may enjoy it more since the core story is expanded in the series of high school life of Raku.
Don't forget again...I recommend you to read the manga first (at least until Chapter 100) then you can happily watch this. Cheers! Chapter 100 is the last episode of Nisekoi: if don't make mistake.
NISEKOI Review:
I fix my previous comment about Nisekoi being a shoujo anime while it is characterised as shounen. I honestly can't decide it belong to which genre hoenstly...but it might be good in both realm (shoujo
...
& shounen). Well...I leave it to you guys.
First thing I REALLY notice from Nisekoi is....ANIMATION brought by SHaft.
Haha...seriously, Nisekoi is Bakemonogatari Series in less dark and more casual appearance. A shoujo version of Bakemonogatari Series in term of visual (and less harem so I say)
I am a big fans of bakemonogatari and the entire story, up to marvellous Kizumonogatari. Shaft have done a great thing with its eccentric art and style and it was so awesome I could cry.
Well...but...I just don't seem to be in a much click to fit those styles with Nisekoi tho. I am not saying it's not good..but the story is too casual to get an eccentric kind of presentation. And the way character drawed (which is resemble the Nisekoi manga by a lot that I don't find it matching as well woth the presentation) Altho I still love that small detail in term of character presentation and camera focus, gestures details (like them spinning around, sparkling, over-colored, I found it very nice)
Comparing with Tonari no Kaibutsu-Kun which I am much more fond with. I think that image more fitting IMHO.
Story:
Hmm..hard to say, but I found it great but not that masterpiece. But...for younger audience (for example high schooler shoujo) it is very perfect imo. But not so for more mature audience. I prefer a straight forward love relationship like in the Tonari Kaibutsu-Kun (sorry to brought that up again). I like how Shaft brought up the first episode, I was so curious about it (I haven't read the manga yet up until I finish the Nisekoi: ) The idea of love story from 10 years ago with the only link is a pendant and a key (but even you know 5 years old talking about love and getting married is something that I can't never understand) How chitoge make the first entrance and meet Raku, it was unique. And then one by one new character appears, and make the mystery a tad more complicated. How they ended up with Nisekoi (Fake Love) between Chitoge and Raku (which is I found it to be forced in terms of story)
But then.....the story stray
They essence of those pendant story and the fake relationship is fading halfway. And it turn to be a daily high school love life with a coward way of expressing their own feelings (Seriously, Onodera and Raku maybe the DENSEST anime character I have ever watched, I will be in the Ruri teams and shout "JUST MADE UP COUPLE ALREADY!) It may be cool for anime (since manga I don't really bother with extended plot and long story, but for anime I prefer straight forward story) ..again..it might be cool if Raku and Onodera get together as a couple without knowing the pendant and then boom! Chitoge appear with the key (oh well but then it broke the nice manga) Yeah I am just saying some plot twist, hha.
There is not much scenes that make my heart skip beat or beat faster like in any other love genre anime (let say Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai and Tonari no Kaibutsu) which is I found it sad.
Sound:
It was great. Shaft love ClariS and so do I. It is matching with the genre, fun and catchy. The soundtrack also ok, casual for slice of life (I found it similar with Umaru) But it is lacking in terms of romance ambience. But well...that again following the story which happen to have less romance climax. I love STEP, TRICK BOX, and CLICK.
Character:
As I said, they are high schooler and I can understand if they are too shy to say their own feelings but Raku and Onodera is WAAYYY to DENSE and they can't read the atmosphere at all (so many time I just wanna scream "JUST CONFESS NOW,AHO!") Chitoge kept on lying to herself and everybody. Oh well...I can get along with them anyway.
I like Tusugumi by the way (Tsugumi team yey!) I haven't read the manga to finish so I don't know how this long extended plot ended but I got my own plot twist where actually the girl with key is actually Tsugumi (shot myself in the head) Go Tsugumi.
I watched Nisekoi: with hope that the story get more mature but yeah...it still the same. The first 3 episode get my expectation up with Chitoge acknowledge her own feeling but then she keep on doing stupid things (like punching Raku to the moon) instead of showing her affection to Raku.
For Note:
I just follow the manga from Chapter 62 and I notice a missing story or not sure, but it is not in the Nisekoi: Hope the story is going good and I don't ended up realising that Nisekoi: is a filler or whatsoever.
Summary:
Nisekoi story is too long with rather slow progression in the core story but I enjoy it a lot. There are so many time I laugh with the comedy and so many time I wondering about the core relationship mystery.
Just like Kyoko sensei said "It is nice to be young!"

Please check the manga before deciding whether it is worth 10 star or not >.<
Honestly I give 10/10 in respect for the manga and Rubico. ANd I may reviewing Tonari no Kaibutsu as OVERALL (which is mean I include the manga since it is impossible to review the story without finishing it imo)
Tonari no Kaibutsu-Kun is totally a masterpiece!
The bad thing about the anime series is that it was forcefully cut the story halfway (not even halfway! I am so damn pissed) when the line still far from mature. That last episode (which is not in the manga) was totally something that cut the anime
...
and leave it hanging like hell.
Seriously, just finish the whole story instead of cutting it off and wondering if the second, the third season will come. It really a beautiful and emotional story.
What I love the most?
The character! I can't say enough how each of every character have their own portion in the story and they are linking each other in the most reasonable complicated way. Each character introduced nicely with their own background. Which is then their background make reasoning why their attitude towards other character. I cant believe Robico can think of something as detail as this. Remarkable.
The story! Yes it is awkwardly so beautiful. Haru and Shizuku is definitely the best couple in my entire anime universe. I am so damn jealous with them but I feel happy for them at the same time (just like Natsume-chan I would say)
Yes! I was so connected with the series that after I finish the series in a day I continue finishing the rest 43 Manga Chapter in two nights)
The story and the relationship between Haru and Shizuku made me cry in joy. It is so beautiful *tears
Shizuku is truly a solid character. Very mature, independent, dependable, smart, carefree, but at the same time loveable, and unique. Haru is as strong as Shizuku as a character, they fill each other EXTREMELY WELL. What I love the most of them as a couple is that they are very frontal to each other in saying their feeling towards each other.
Their relationship develop NOT in a magical way and thats the reason why I am sticking with series the entire way. The romance flow.
And honorable mentions to ALL SIDE CHARACTER. All of them fill what kind of character that missing from Haru and Shizuku and fill all the hole (mention Sasahara, Natsume, Yamaken, Mitsu, Andou)
Well...I cant tell you enough how GREAT is Tonari no-Kaibutsu-kun is.
PLEASE, TO ALL OF YOU AUDIENCE....CONTINUE THE STORY FROM THE MANGA BECAUSE THE ANIME SERIES ENDED IN THE WORST POSSIBLE WAY. IT IS FAR FROM THE BEAUTY. NO JOKE.
Art:
Well I am actually a shounen manga but to be honest, Tonari no Kaibutsu is a shouju manga with a shounen influence illustration (what the hell am I talking, whatever)
Things are so vivid and so lively and seriously not disappointing at all for regard of the manga works. It doesnt missing all the details the manga had from what I see as well.
NBL Shizuku eyes are something that I cant get over with >.< Man she is so adoreable.
Sound:
I love Shizuku voice. It really ensemble her character in the most realistic way. It is easier for me to follow the manga after watching the anime. For Haru, I just think that his voice (seiyuu) a little bit too lively compared to what I feel from the manga. It should be better if he got toned down a bit but I still like it as well.
Q&A Recital, haha damn it bring a live to the series, seriously I really like the opening of the anime.
DONT FORGET HOW GOOD IS"TETSUKAZU NO KANJOU" really connecting the feelings * I feel like crying again.
I just finish the manga today and I still really sad that it comes to end like this. I just wish great manga or anime never ends. But yeah I don't want any conflict anymore in between Haru and Shizuku sooooo I will CONGRATULATE them from the bottom of my heart and close this series with peace T.T
MASTERPIECE! Well done Rubico!

This is quite though anime to give insights on. There are a lot of part from this anime that I really like, as much as parts that I didn't really like. But I did enjoy this anime a lot and it is worth for overall 9.
What I dislike:
- Story coming in and out without proper prologue and ending. Why Subaru got suddenly sent to the fantasy world, what is his relation with the Witch, and so on. It will be exciting turnouts if audience got explained those things. I am truly expecting a longer series instead of 25 episodes. Something like HxH where in the
...
end (perhaps) Emilia became the Queen and Subaru getting strong and defeat the Witch which is in the he became the King. Nice End.
- Second! This is the one of the worst part is Subaru. Yes, for me his one of the worst main hero, he acting over-stupid & childish almost the entire series, not to mention he is weak af. He stayed too many episodes with that kinds of character and it really frustrating and exhausting to watch him doing stupid thing, acting irresponsibility, and helpless all the time. Seriously...when I start watching this anime I was REALLY expecting he is somehow awaken a specialised strong skill (other than keep on dying and repeat) but as the episodes gone one by one, he is truly not moving up in terms of strength (only got that stupid shumac). Although he did getting strong mentally, for Godsake...that was after die at least 3 times for the same events. I have seen a long anime series like HunterXHunter which is the character developed very well the entire series. They have up and down, but they are progressing in all kinds of way which Subaru doesn't have.
- Betelgeuse Romanee Conti. Really the most annoying antagonis in anime. He just simply a psychotic and to make it worst, he out-powered the main character (Subaru) by far. Seriously, why it so hard just to give him death. I prefer character like him die once and then Subaru met the witch. Conti really psychotic and an antagonis without charisma.
- Last! The series is again...TOO SHORT. I am really expecting for second season with a proper finishing episodes. Not hanging like this. When the story start we have TONS of characters introduced on each arch. Not to mention Felt! She is suddenly brought up from slump to the kingdom but then that's it. She doesn't make any difference in the story at all in the end. It will be nice also that each candidate have their own arch story (just like Wilhem got for himself, his romance story when he was young, a background story to be precise)
What I like:
- Rem. Yes Rem. And maybe most of other audience does. Rem is one of those character that progressing REALLY WELL in the story. You can see how she change throughout the episodes. how and why her relationship and feelings for Subaru growing strong. She is strong and yet you can find a soft spot in her character.
- The romance conflict. I might say the romance conflict is really nice. Emilia is loveable, Rem also loveable, Subaru have a strong will and he is really expressive (too much most of the time) and all the romance conflict is relevant to each individual background (Emilia being a half elf silver haired witch, Rem being a half devil, Subaru being stupid and helpless but strong will) Not to mention that Subaru forbidden to mention his Reset ability which is make the case even harder. But what I think audience need to get is that love romance doesn't developing faster than the series and ended up hanging (as I said before it need a longer series to make it a complete story and finish)
- Wilhelm arc story. It is beautiful imo and it gives a different wind to the story. I was hoping if there will be the next season for Re Zero, they will come up with more background story (just like Wilhelm story) like the story of each kingdom ruler candidate history and side story. (We don't even know Emilia and Subaru background story for Godsake! We don't know who they are, why Puck tagging along with Emilia and kept on saying Emilia as her daughter etc, where they come from, how do they got into their current character they are) I am seriously have no idea why the author doesn't make it an agenda to make proper introduction on each character. Which is will help to make a greater emotional connection for the audience with each character.
- Emotional connection. I got pretty nice emotional connection with Rem since she got introduced quite a lot to the audience. But somehow I despise Subaru and technically don't care with him, which is actually bad thing since he is the main character. I just hope he doesn't hurt Emilia and Rem more than he does.
Arts:
The art is cool. I love the coloring, the face construction. Art always been kinda priority for me before continuing the series and Re Zero doing great. Emilia is so loveable, Rem, and most any girl in the series. The man varies from bishounen to shounen. The environment really rich in colour and details. But I have seen better in Kabaneri, Inari konkon, bakemonogatari series, so I will settle with Score 9 here in arts.
Sound;
I love the ending and opening which I find it suited with the anime theme and all. I just hope they make instrumental soundtrack during the scenes instead of the full voice music. Styx Helix really bring a strong atmosphere of romance and battle, Paradisus Paradoxium also. Myth & Roid really fit into the anime so well, and the way the music mixed really match with the weird theme of Subaru got summoned to another world with reset ability (or curse). 'Stay Alive' in contrast is a soft spot in the series that really fit all Emilia x Subaru x Rem in term of romance. But for 'Redo' I don't particularly find it fit with the anime but still I like this anyway (don't know if it because I love the anime that I then love the theme song or vice versa)
Overall:
As I said in the start, I have like and dislike but in the end I enjoy the anime a lot. I enjoy and quite hopeful with the next episodes since the first episode. But then they leave me hanging with that episode no.25.
I DEMAND 2ND SEASON! I DEMAND EXPLANATION & I DEMAND A PROPER ENDING!

The story is a simple mystery around the school leaving the thrill out of equation. Yes, it is a quite unique blend of mystery infused in a slice of high school life anime. Unlike any other detective series (say, Detective Conan or Kindaichi) this one doesn't involve murder cases and stuff but the simple mystery than happen around the character at school, most of those stuff that normally got overlooked by most people got brought up into a series of hypothesis and prejudice....simply a by sentence "KI NI NARIMASU!"
A sentence that have our lazy main character into fulfilling the princess of the series's curiosity
...
over small unimportant things but turns out really interesting when we go through together with the characters.
I am simply can't say how many times I literally scratch my head and thinking how logical and fun was him making hypothesis.
I will honestly say that the first two episodes was not standout quite enough among tons of other anime with slice of life genre. I thought was "Ah this one gonna just another love story slice of high school life just like any other anime". But in the end I was so WRONG, I tried to be patient with it and I can say it was worth it! Tho it was start slow, but it was keep peeking up until the last episode, as friendship grow slightly stronger.
It was a sweet series in term of romance. Tho the ending wasn't the want that I wanted but hey...at least he is almost at it. And we can understand that sometime leaving love hanging is a good way to end a series (lol) (I really wish Houtarou did asked 'that' question before the ending of the series, and I really want to know how Chitanda react to that, at least eventho he is not officially in relationship at that moment, we know that the feelings convey) Note: I hope that one is not a spoiler. My bad!
Art is so lovely, it is outstanding right from the beginning. Colouring, character design, environment. All of it!
Well, I guess thats it for me. The only thing I hope for another audience with a hunger of a good anime is to watch this, and if you feel unmotivated to continue during the first few episodes, please be patient with it. It really is worth it.
I hope you have that same kind of curiosity like Chitanda Eru.
And maybe I got enchanted also when she says 'Kin ni narimasu!" that's why I keep on going with the series. Note: I did give up after 2 episodes and turn to another anime for awhile before I give another try to finish the series.
*mould and tide by her hair righaway lol
