This anime has great potential, and people actually expect a more mature and darker story. However, what we got is like a Scooby-Doo style anime. Sadly, if we skip a lot of episodes, only 20-30 episodes truly matter. You might wanna google which "filler" episodes to skip.
My rating for those 20-30 episodes is 6.7 out of 10.0 because the story is kinda good and some episodes like episode 13 bring the same vibe as the previous installments and make watchers realize "Yeah, I'm watching Digimon, not Pokémon"
As a whole, I might give it a rating of 5.4 out of 10.0 because it still has good
...
animation, introduces a lot of new Digimon, and features good fights between the Digimon.
Without these aspects, maybe I would give it 4.2 out of 10.0. Yeah, it's too boring even for an episodic format anime.
The target audience for this anime is kind of confusing. It's not suitable (kinda boring) for veteran fans, but it's not compelling to children as well. It's like a mix of Pokémon and Scooby-Doo, and children will choose those two shows or other kid-friendly anime instead.

I wanna rate it a score of 4, but due to the overhype of the trailer and the community, I'll give it a 2.
I'm kinda interested in the world-building, but not the rest of its aspects.
Pros:
1.) The Character
Aki is a pretty well-written character. He should be the main character
Mixed:
1.) The art style is both the best and the worst. The scenery is top-tier, but the character is the lowest-tier.
Yup, It's MAPPA! It's CGI animation! It's 3D animation! It's gonna ruin your eyes!
...
Yucks!
MAPPA did it again with their CGI. It feels like you're watching Games Cinematic Movies rather than anime. I'd like to rate a minus score for this.
There's a reason why people like to watch Anime more than a cartoon or 3D animation. But, MAPPA didn't bother to see this crucial aspect of anime and keep making 3D animation with their CGI.
Cons:
1.) Music, Backsound and Soundtrack
What the heck! Their hire multiple artists to make a lot of soundtracks, and they expect they'll do some earworm? Nope, it's a bad move for MAPPA. Maybe they wanted to compete with eighty-six 86 for its ending soundtrack. But, 86 only got 2 ending soundtracks for its 1st cour, 1 for the sad moments, and 1 for the hype moments. But CSM goes with 1 soundtrack per episode? And the only good Ost I found is only Aimer, the rest is like "too much" or too chaotic feelings. WTH!
2.) The Character
The MC is just a cliche and annoying Character. Do they want him to be a psychopath? But what I see is it's only an imitation of Shinichi Izumi from Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu mixed with Mikey from Tokyo Revenger. It's like an apathetic Character that become even more apathetic due to something and lost its humanity. A common brawler who got plot armor and got the favor of being the main char.
Power is literally a b*tch who got a spot for being an important character. A non-human who of course doesn't have the morality of a human, possessing a body of a beautiful woman > a nice ticket to milk some fanservice. Other than that, she behaves like an annoying 7 yrs old kid.
Kobeni is a little bit useful version of Sakura. But still, she got the blessing of Sakura and has the potential to be a burden for the rest of the series.
Makima, I guess this one will be one of the main villains. It's pretty cliche and we see the pattern or clue from her character, and just like Power, Makima doesn't seem like a normal human. She's closer to a real-life psychopath than Denji. More manipulative and controlling. And of course, a girl with manipulative psychopath > another ticket to milk fanservice.
Himeno, another cliche hot "senpai" with sad background, went to alcoholic behavior and being flirty, there goes another fanservice ticket.
Pochita, I thought the main motivation will be the bonding of Denji and Pochita, so Pochita is only an accessory for the MC
3.) Storywise
The pacing is quite fast, and you'll feel like "what the heck is happening!?" and will rewind it to find out what is what, who is who. I guess it's MAPPA's fault again. They did it with the god of high school, but that's the worse project they've done. CSM got the same vibe of fast pacing story, thus, it's like the JC stuff animation when they got less budget.
Besides the pacing, its entire vibe is literally a soft-core hentai/ecchi anime with a plot. It's truly overhyped and if we skip some unnecessary scenes and dialogue, we can get 6-9 episodes. They can animate more detail to the story but they animate the sensual/flirty scenes more.
Another thing is that grandpa-trainer always says "a few screws loose" to defeat the gun devil, it's only a way to say: "all the badass characters are psychopaths or brawlers". It's like watching Tokyo Revenger with superpower or ability. Without real motivation or a real morality compass, it's kinda hard to relate with the main characters. Just because it could be gory scenes everywhere, doesn't mean it doesn't need morality or motivation for the characters. There's no impact on the comedy and sad moments.
4.) Battle Scene
it's CGI, so it's bad. Besides that, no one truly has an "ultimate move" or stunning moves. Only some moments made it a little bit epic, but that's it, no more chilling vibe from their moves.

Imagine a clear background of a pedophilic character, not just a side character but the main char, and he got a 2nd part of the anime. Wow!
And also, the anime itself is welcomed, tolerated, liked by most watchers, and gets a great score on many sites.
It's not much different than the 1st part of the anime, a cliche story about zero to hero character, but with a background of a pedophilic middle-old man trapped in a child's body molesting a lot of girls under 18.
If you're reading reviews before watching the anime, I strongly suggest you drop it, especially if you feel uncomfortable with the
...
main char background.

It's about from zero to hero. From trash to what, some heartfelt heroic main char probably.
But the only thing is, the "trash" isn't just trash and useless main char, but a pedophilic middle-old man. The author knows this and keeps doing it like he means it.
Normally, reincarnated main chars that remember their memory from their previous life still acknowledges it as a second life, thus, this "Rudy" is just a middle-old man trapped in a child's body trying to molest another underage child.
If you're above 15, I suggest you drop this anime.
If you don't and you consider it normal, then:
1.) you are a pedophile yourself
...
(unable to understand the moral value of lusting over children, it's a mental illness and you might need to see professional help, 'cause you're a danger to society if you don't)
2.) you're between 12-15 years old and thinking "it's normal, I guess, to like girls 1-2 years old younger than me"
3.) you miss the fact that he was and still is a middle-old man living or trapped in a child's body.
