It was a GREAT SERIES for me! Great action, story as well and how it made me think whom to side with. IT WAS ALL ABOUT COMPROMISING THOUGH. Impressive!
The ending should have been beyond satisfactory if it weren't for the exchange dialogue of Yuji and Shana regarding the Grand Order and the reason behind all their desires. I was expecting more from Yuji to express more verbally. I was waiting for him to say those 3 magical words to her. hahaha I was expecting to see a more intense and quite intimite and melancholy scene from the both of them.
What lacks this season
...
is a detailed explanation of it all (to make sure the viewers can fully grasp what's happening) and a clear dialogue between characters saying their clear intentions (not in a way where the viewers would understand things right away). With all the characters present, treasure tools, powers, spells and their hidden agendas and how things are unfolding, it should have been carefully shown piece by piece in detailed since all of a sudden other powerful flame hazes and denizens suddenly appeared. That leaves us to question HOW? WHEN? HOW? SINCE WHEN? HOW COME? FROM WHERE? WHAT HAPPENED TO WHOM? and WHY? So, it sure has lots of loopholes. They should've extended the series til season 4 to give way for that making it more satisfying and invigorating. Plus, it'd be better if they atleast give us a preview of what it's like to live in Xanadu even if it's a complete copy of the world. I've seen how it looks like in the opening song but that ain't enough though.
I'm happy that Yoshida-san is no longer an MC. Hahaha. Knowing other flame hazes and denizens surprised me in a good way like it was a WOAH from me.
For the Sound, I wished they kept the rock vibe song like the Hishoku no Sora, Joint & Light My Fire. I love better the OP for the 1st half of each season, though.
BEST SEASON IS THE 1ST, ngl, but the entire was great, ngl either. Althout, this anime for sure would be one hella splendid if they could have expand it further not limiting it to 3 seasons. That I guarantee.
Anyhoo, I LOVED SS. I enjoyed. A. LOT.

Ok, to start it off, the battle scenes in this season has way more intensity than of season 1 it really did leveled up (of course, new Tomogaras was introduced as well with tremendous powers).
Although, the final ep of Season 1 is better to wrap it all up than the last ep of this season. On the good side, you'll expect another season to continue the story. HOORAY! It's like "It ends here.... for now, but SS doesn't end here" if you get what I mean.
The opening never fails. It really hypes you up to begin the episode. As you continue along, there might
...
be unexpected plot twists and the mood gets darker where MCs and other flame hazes get more serious as they strengthened their own powers and abilities. But after the twist, you'll be impressed how it'll all turn out as unexpected. The balance of the mood, roles of each characters and the development of each scenes is well-balanced (for me).
I enjoyed a lot!!! The pairing of Yuji and Shana has been unleashed. LOTTA LOVE!!
P.S I still don't understand Yoshida's role to be considered as MC -_-

This is one of the underrated action/supernatural/romance anime. I remember watching it when I was a kid then after rewatching it now, it all made more sense to me why it's one of my faves. You'll appreciate more the scenes, story, dialogues and the entire thing even more as an adult regardless of the PG-13 type of audience.
But.. why is Yoshida Kazumi one of the main?!?! like.....??? just why???? I couldn't think of any reason why would she be considered as MC...
ANYHOW,
I loved how catchy the intro was. Imo, your curiosity will be tested after watching the first ep. It'll let you crave more
...
of what'll happen next and next and next.
Whenever the situation started to heat up, you'll feel more the intensity because of the music. It gives more chills and impact to both action/emotional scenes.
The usage of their terms on the other hand made this anime unique and cool in its own way. You'll really have to devour yourself and dig into details to understand and enjoy it better rather than those characters who would let themselves be known easily. It may sound complicated but for viewers to be satisfied, the anime used such terms for the viewers to be intrigued and let the viewers alone get invested. Besides, knowing their aliases, places they originated and whatnot will let your thirst of knowledge expand and will think of "what was she/he again?" or "what was it called?" and only re/watching til the entire thing is the solution. That proves how amazing and interesting this anime is for me.
Knowing new characters, terms and the like will excite you more because soonest, you'll start to sort out their powers, the level of how powerful each characters is, their skills and abilities and who's more powerful than whom. You'll love them all of how one is unique and different from each other but of course, MC (Shana and Yuuji) stands out really well.
P.S I don't really know how to make a useful review but hope this helps. ehe

Wishing for the latter chapters would be given an anime adaptation (most especially if you've been into the world of music, you'll get sure fired up with the manga sketches during the performances. My curiousity of how Lashes' compositions sounded like made me look for and listen to it. Over and over again. Hahaha)
Sure, the entire story is how Masked girl proves that hardwork would make Curly Hair be her's but the flow of action totally made the readers(like me) feel the possibility of the other outcome. This manga was full of mixed and overwhelming emotions that you'd really weep (if your an emotional typpa
...
person) if the desired outcome wasn't granted.
If your at Lashes' side, reading until Chp. 99 would suffice. hihi

For all watchers who loves music, are musically inclined and interested in music (with a splash of romance), this will surely be loved by you. This is great and will consider it an underrated anime.
I was a Team Curly hair at first but Lashes captured my heart. Imagining the entire thing happening in reality will somehow give you a relief to be be at Curly hair's side. For some reasons, Lashes was already given the impression to be the stepping stone (but of course, I wished for something more of a twist). This deserves to have a season 2. The last ep wasn't convincing
...
enough to be the ending (even if it torments me). Frankly, it was Lashes' character and In NO Hurry's songs made me love this anime.
For readers who will stumble of this review section, don't upset yourself just by figuring out about the ending. Watch it yourself so you could have your own experience of impact/expression and impression.
Satisfied or Disappointed, read the manga for a closure. ;)
