I'm assuming that if you are watching the 3rd season, then you are a fan of this anime series and you know what to expect. After the first third of the anime, I can conclude that Bungou Stray Dogs Season 3 has been a perfect representation of what a 3rd season should be and it has the potential to surpass the 2nd season's greatness!
Just like the previous season, the anime starts off in the past and explores the relationships of characters years before the main time line which in turn builds up their personality and motives. I simply love when a show can take some
...
time to simply explain and mould its characters into 4 dimensional beings. This time, we are going even further back to the meeting of Dazai and Chuuya and how they ended up with their love hate relationship while being partners.
These flashbacks make every action in the present day mean even more and manages to provide clear but detailed explanations. However, this season manages to do so without making it an example of boring character progression due to great writing, excellent banter between the cast and bones producing some of the finest animation and action sequences as per usual. However, we can expect the character development arc of this season to be over and now we will progress into a gritty storyline which although hasn't been complex or mind blowing, has been very entertaining and well constructed.
Compiling great development and characterisation with a well thought out plot that's executed well in terms of art and animation is something that we have come to expect from Bungou Stray Dogs and can continue to expect in its 3rd season! And although the soundtrack has slightly degraded, what we get is a great all round package produced by bones and one of the best anime of the current season!

What the hell? How is the anime community not praising this anime as much as it deserves to be praised? This may literally be the single most well thought out, most original and visually impactful show of this entire year and it's getting no attention!
I'm not a biased Ikuhara fan boy; I rated Revolutionary Girl Utena a 7/10 and Mawaru Penguindrum has been sitting on my plan to watch for years, I honestly had no clue what I was going to get myself into with this anime but oh boy am I glad that I started watching this!
The story is indescribable. It's bizarre and hilarious
...
but at the same time intelligent and intriguing. The concept is both complex and challenging to understand but at the same time, it's straight forward and essentially persona 5 but with anal. (10/10 description right?)
The characters are unpredictable and their "embarrassing secrets" just add to their 4 dimensional personalities! They all start off simplistic but even after one episode, they are built into mentally complex and peculiar people that somehow strangely connects with the viewer.
Visually impeccable. The art and animation is phenomenal and peppered with deep metaphors within every frame underneath a layer of simplicity making it a pleasure to watch for both types of viewers: viewers who want to be challenged and viewers who only care for the surface level details and visuals. The fluidity of action sequences is insane and the heavily stylised worlds adds character to the anime which makes it tower over most shows this season.
What's the more insane than anally defeating monsters as a turtle gang? Anally defeating monsters as a turtle gang while singing. It's hilarious but honestly, the music is actually great: from the police duet to the opening to the kappa gang anal song; every piece of music is excellent and fits the scene it's in.
And on top of all this: you won't be able to predict anything in this anime because honestly, I don't know if even Ikuhara himself could! Which, if you have seen over 1000 anime like I have, makes a show 10x more enjoyable to watch!

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING (I KNOW IT'S LONG BUT HOPEFULLY WORTH IT)
Let me get this out of the way before I say anything: I never thought the original One Punch Man was this phenomenal anime that it was portrayed as being; I acknowledge that it was a decent/good show but nothing more. With that being said, this new season is a downgrade from the original in about every aspect so you can more or less see where I'm going with this review.
Great, now that I've induced the hatred of rabid OPM fans and essentially destroyed my chances of receiving any positive feedback or "helpful"
...
votes, I'm going to be diving into why I decided to give this anime a 6/10... I know, it's shocking.
Actually, why not start with some positives first before I rip this show apart? For one, the cast of OPM is great, with the perfect balance of comedic moments, seriousness and badassery (yes, that's now a word) spread evenly between the characters! Saitama remains as one of the best and most likeable main characters in recent memory with a fantastic supporting cast beside him. One thing that I can't fault is the fantastic chemistry that is still prevalent between the cast; whether it be witty banter or heroic speeches, each interaction is a joy to watch; especially with the amazing voice work! However, don't expect to be blown away by the development each character receives or how original their personas are because quite frankly, they do all roughly fall into stereotypes although that actually favours the anime surprisingly! Another minor nit pick for now in the first couple of episode is that Garou so far is a lifeless edgelord who honestly holds nothing interesting to his name other than "Hey, I'm OP... that makes me a good character right?" Yet, I can't criticise him too much due to the fact that there is still plenty of time for him to grow on me so I will just avoid this factor for now. Now onto how the anime is mediocre at best:
Let's address the elephant in the room, JC Staff took over from Madhouse's previous season which worried the fans of the anime immensely and rightly so. JC Staff certainly isn't the first name an otaku thinks of when it comes to amazing action packed animation and so far... the animation has been ok. That's honestly the only way to describe it; it is by no means robust and clunky but lacks the finesse and passion that could be seen in the first season. Action sequences lack the emotion behind each blow that could previously be felt with animation short cuts being made in almost every altercation so far in the anime. Punches feel weightless as they don't show the impact of the blow as a means to save money which in turn makes me heavily disappointed considering the great action present in the original. These little things show that very little care and concern was put into the production and don't even get me started on the drawing quality! Genos looks like a bloody tin can walking about! Like seriously, metallic shading is not JC Staff's strong suit! But, in general, the animation is alright, it's acceptable and definitely gets bonus points for some fine jiggle physics so I guess that makes JC Staff worth something.
Another shortcoming has been the music; that opening song although not particularly bad, is trying to hard to renovate the original. It lacks the hype of the first opening and seems to ride the first song's wave rather than attempting to surpass it. Dare I say it, the opening almost sounds identical to the first! Only if the first one lacked any sort of feeling and was downgraded to about a 5/10. I guess endings are also a thing so I might as well talk a little about it... it's ok. I've been using this word a lot so far because it's the majority of this anime! Hell, even the soundtrack is sort of just fine and nothing special which is crazy since I actually quite liked all the music in the first season- I'm not saying it's anywhere near bad but I expected more in the second season.
My final point is about the plot. It's laughable. One of my biggest problems with the first and second season is how basic the story telling is. I get it, it's not the main focus of the show; the plot is used as a gimmick in OPM to show off action and comedy, however, no matter what form of entertainment it is, the story is essential especially when thinking critically and that's the one department where OPM falls terribly short and is probably the main reason why Mob Psycho is an a league of its own in comparison. I said I wasn't going to talk about it but I'm going to anyway; Garou's story so far is extremely predictable and basic! The hype for his character and story led me to believe that he was going to be special but is it just me or does everything related to him just seem like lazy character building and story telling so far? Again, it may be too early to judge but I cannot let it go! To be honest, in what is essentially the first third of the second season, no progress has been made in terms of the plot and no! Fubuki's tits won't help me forget how poor the story has been so far!
Let's end the review here; as you can probably tell by now, my enjoyment has been severely limited due to the negatives completely overshadowing this anime's positive aspects. It may still be too early to give it a complete verdict but I feel as though I need to share my opinion with the fan base. I'm not a hater at all; I honestly want what everyone wants: GOOD ANIME and this is not it. So, can we please stop fanboying and start criticising as to send a message that we won't stand for mediocrity? If we do this, I can guarantee that it will only benefit the industry and our enjoyment of anime in the future. Thank you for reading, I know it was long so I apologise, here's the verdict:

Although this anime is one of the best "cool down" shows of the season, with extensive cuteness and wholesomeness, it lacks in too many departments to be considered anything more than average or decent!
If you're looking for a revolutionary high school scenario with extensive development and a solid story fueled with both dramatic and comedic moments, turn away now! As a very short series with each episode only being half the length of most; this show lacks all of the above. Although the main female character is unique in a way with her haiku form of communication, this anime falls into most wholesome tropes in
...
high school anime. The plot is almost nowhere to be found to be honest, it's ridiculously simple and cliched, revolving around a group of characters that all belong to a club which is the focus for most of the run time. Consider this show almost like a depiction of activities that this said club undergo with minimal connections or progression apart from the relationships between the characters which still don't get enough development due to this anime's length!
The character development in this show is non-existent with most characters literally remaining the same throughout every episode. Each character falls into specific tropes e.g. a cute shy high school girl that everyone will later lewd and a delinquent who actually has a very kind personality and has never really been in a fight. Yes, it's familiarity might be good for some people but it honestly bores me a little that there is no creativity with the anime's characters. However, I don't dislike any of them and combined with the simplistically yet fitting art, it actually makes you not care too much about this lack of character progress and retention as most of the show is eye candy!
Honestly, the art is the only thing that I would consider being good, it's consistent and well drawn with common but distinguishable designs and backgrounds. In addition to the art, the animation itself isn't mind blowing but relatively clean and acceptable for the genre! Moreover, the rest of the production is average to decent with some voice acting or lack of it not being too well done despite a solid soundtrack and two great songs at the start and end of each episode!
Honestly, this anime is basic and isn't anything special, yet, I enjoy it as a bridge between two better shows this season, thus, I consider it a cool down anime. After an episode of Bungou Stray Dogs, I always look to relieve the intensity of the episode by watching Senryuu Shoujo before I'm ready to watch Fruits Basket and get emotionally molested by it's story and characters.
It's by no means a bad show but it's also not a good one and for that reason, I can't award it anything higher than a 6 (and that's me being generous as it should honestly be a 5!)

2 geniuses trying to feel superiority by making the other confess first! This has got to be one of the best scenarios ever!
Art/Sound:
Let's get this straight, I don't love the studio that makes this anime and feel as though their animation is solid but not great, however, holy shit! The visuals in this anime are so impressive, it reminds me of something Shaft would produce which I love, most people are going to be pleasantly surprised at how great the animation and the art in general is! Sound wise, I have 0 complaints! Voice acting is spot on with a very underrated funky OP and
...
perfect ED for the anime. The sound gets an 8 and the art gets a 9!
Plot/Characters:
The show is episodic and within each episode, it's broken down into even smaller parts which makes for a non-stop funny entertaining anime that's consistently great throughout! My main concern with the plot is that it seems to start to get repetitive after a while but honestly I don't give a fuck due to how great EVERY episode is! Fucking hell... the best cast of characters this season easily! The main characters have amazing chemistry and juxtapose perfectly with the airhead secretary! This dynamic between the characters is perfect and sets up for a perfect balance of tense and hilarious sequences! The plot gets an 8 and the characters get a 10
Overall:
I don't have any major faults to talk about this anime! It's been a non-stop exciting, hilarious show fuelled by a fantastic cast and I hope that it's repetitiveness doesn't make it stale after it's completion! I'm honestly blown away at how there isn't a single episode where I don't feel as though the 25 mins we're actually 5 mins! Each episode is so entertaining that I lose track of time; because of this it gets an enjoyment rating of 10 and an overall rating of 9!

The anime gods have truly blessed us... A boy has a crush on his teacher; that boy has casual sex with a high school girl; his dad re-marries and he now has new family; his teacher and the girl he fucked are now his sisters... Anime is the greatest creation of all time.
Art/Sound:
Let's commence with the art style, it's appealing to the eye with decent character models although it does share similarities with other anime of the same genre. The visuals and animation are consistent and maintain a good quality although it never becomes great or outstanding; the art is probably the worst part of
...
the show and even then, it's not bad at all. The fucking music is brilliant! One of the best opening sequences and ending sequences of the season thus far with a solid VA cast and a complimenting OST! Sound wise this anime hits the nail right on the head! The art gets a 7 but the sound gets a 9!
Plot/Characters:
You read my little synopsis/skit at the beginning of this review; so (just like me) you were expecting a low quality story line that relies on ecchi to keep the viewer invested. However, this is certainly not the case, the show relies heavily on keeping great dramatic tension in this fucked up love triangle, which it succeeds in doing! The plot hasn't blown me away with any major plot twists but it has been consistently intriguing while tackling some mature issues of love, relationships and sex. Furthermore, I really feel as if the MC resembles a lot of people that I know in real life, and this realism makes him more likeable! On top of that, his new sisters are fantastic characters that although they do fit certain archetypes, they are 3 dimensional with problems of their own that you start picking up on as you go through then show! Both the show's plot and characters get an 8/10!
Overall:
This anime has certainly been a ride; it's been tense and deep, fucked up and funny! But most importantly, surprising! Which is an emotion I love feeling and that is exactly what I received upon watching this. This anime has become one of my favourite anime on Fridays after school to just chill and enjoy watching! I really recommend it and give it an enjoyment rating of 9/10 and overall score of 8/10!

Apart from Dororo, this is my anime of the season! It's a flawed masterpiece and has earned a 9 from every single category I judge an anime on which is both a great thing but shows that it could've been executed slightly better overall and been a true masterpiece!
Art/Sound:
Cloverworks is not a studio I particularly like at all, however I must give them their props, apart from a couple of budget limitations in some occasional backgrounds or distant characters- the animation is mainly crisp and fluid with fantastic emotion being portrayed in the way each character is presented! Furthermore, I must praise the stylistic direction
...
and camerawork that almost creates a claustrophobic atmosphere in scenes of tension and that make the horror element of this anime much more prevalent. Uverworld sings the OP. That is all I have to say for you to understand that it's fantastic; as is everything else sound wise in the anime with the exception of the lackluster ED in my opinion!
Story/Characters:
Firstly, I love the juxtaposition in the first episode that set the scene for what the story was truly about; it's gritty and has been excecuted at a very high level! The concept is very interesting and can go many ways in which they can open up a variety of different threats that the characters may face! However, the story so far seems slightly rushed and seems to be following a basic predictable route which I hope will change soon as it's got incredibly high potential! In addition, the characters are probably the least flawed thing in the entire show, the anime's main 3 heroes are all fantastic and can already be identified as being complex and 3 dimensional, furthermore, I'm loving the "villains" and their attitudes probably even more than the main characters because of how amazing they appear to be right from the beginning, I won't spoil anything btw.
Overall:
Having not read the manga, I cannot feel any disappointment so far because just as with Dororo, my expectations were extremely high but the anime managed to exceed them. I'm not sure if the manga contains all these flaws but regardless of their existence, this anime is an absolute gem and one of the best this season and I predict of this entire year! Just as I stated in my opening statement, this anime is a masterpiece... a heavily flawed one :)

I know the creators gave 0 fucks making this but I can't praise garbage for being self-aware garbage! Well, fuck it, this review is going to be similar to the anime I'm reviewing: effortless, stale and full of shit with 0 fucks given ;)
Art(I guess)/Sound:
Anime IRL? Wtf? Can we even consider this an anime, the creators must be geniuses, they broke the fucking code lmao, real people being weebs that soon are transported to a VRChat terribly animated glitchy isekai world. Also, the OP is fairly shit and everything else soundwise is mediocre, but what did I expect in the first place? The art gets
...
a 1 and the sound gets a generous 5.
Story/Character:
Stop reading this review, why are you even here? The show is awful in every way, the story is cringy, the characters are cringy, the "art" is cringy; EVERYTHING IS FUCKING CRINGY! It becomes a pure shitfest comedy after the first 5 mins, scratch that, from the first fucking 5 seconds in which it manages to confuse being self aware for being funny XD
Overall:
This "anime" makes me question my existence, why must I exist in a world where this shit exists, this is a meme, not a show worth your time. Thus... 10/10

Thanks MAL for removing this at first btw 🙂
Orgasms and gambling, can't ask for much more lol
Art/Sound:
Once more, just like in my Dororo review, studio MAPPA is in control of kakegurui and thus it delivers exceptionally in the visual and sound departments! The tracks and voice acting are great; fitting the second season although I deeply miss the old OP! Orgasmic visuals (literally) are still present with tremendous facial details especially in "psychotic" moments, however it's general fluidity could use some improvement! I'd give both sound and art an 8/10!
Plot/Characters:
Alright, I'm not going to shit on the plot too much as the show isn't about
...
how good the story is or how devoid of plot holes it is, which it clearly fucking isn't (including the first season!) The story this time is just an excuse to set up Jabami with some more OP, deranged lunatics to fuck around with and jizz in their faces upon winning at a simple game. However, the gambling still hasn't disappointed me personally and has greatly contributed to my enjoyment of this season although I believe the first season's were more intense! The characters remain great and enjoyable to watch, however, as previously stated the new group of characters seem basic and only pose as obstacles to confront the mc! But one character does stand out, that suspicions one with glasses that introduces the new characters to her. Not gonna lie, I'm intrigued! I'd give the story a generous 6 and the characters a 7!
Overall:
I came expecting tension and tits; ecchi shit and edgy shit; thus far, I'm not disappointed and have thoroughly enjoyed it despite its major flaws! I'm looking forward to what else it can bring to the table! It gets an enjoyment rating and overall score of 7!

Another great season of Mob Psycho 100! An anime that's better than One Punch Man XD
Art/Sound:
It's studio bones. What the fuck do you expect besides crisp animation, epilepsy causing visuals and orgasmic sakuga? Animation is just as good as the first season if not even better with visuals that just grab the audience's attention every episode! Sound wise, we have received phenomenal voice acting also present in the first season, however, the opening and ending themes seem lackluster compared to the original's! Oh well, at least the soundtrack is still fantastic! (Disclaimer: They are still good songs but just not as good as the first
...
season's in my opinion.) I'd give the art a 10/10 and the sound an 8/10!
Plot/Characters:
Once again we join our dynamic duo on a mostly episodic adventure through the world of ghosts, spirits and demons! Albeit the episodes aren't as memorable or as funny as the original's in terms of plot, story or sequences, they are still a solid watch. One thing that has surpassed the first season easily has been the sheer amount of character development! The cast was already fantastic and I had a couple of criticisms on their development and purpose yet I'm glad this season has managed to take care of most of those criticisms! Like, fuck me sideways... Mob is feeling emotions, voicing opinions and falling in love! I'd give the plot a 7/10 and the characters an extremely near perfect 9/10!
Overall:
Is it better than the first season? No. Is it worse than the first season? No. It's simply stronger in certain elements and weaker in others, thus making it about on par with the original! I've always enjoyed ONE's creations and Mob Psycho 100 II isn't different; it delivers in most categories and is an enjoyable watch this season. I'd give it an 8/10 with an enjoyment of an 8/10 also!
Edit: After 8 episodes, the anime has progressed heavily plot wise and become more intense and covering a wider range of emotions granting it a 9/10!
