First of all, let me start off by saying that One Piece ! is one of my favourite animes and manga of all time, and before you decide to not watch it, read the reviews !
One Piece is by far the most outrageous, amazing, tear jerking, hilarious, life changing animes. It seriously makes me want to drop out of school and become a pirate.
If you think that this is extremely shounen and that girls will not like it; you're extremely right for the first bit. I'm a teenage girl, and I swear, I would choose One Piece over every other shojo anime out
...
there. Sometimes shonen animes are the best.
[STORY]
The story is intriguing from the very start. We see this little skinny kid who looks like nothing special, but then *BAM* he shows you what he can do. If you've read the summary, you'll get the jist, except that the summary leaves out one VERY important detail.
DEVIL FRUIT !
These are basically fruit that give the consumer powers, and as you watch the series, you will see the most stupid sounding devil fruit, turning out to be the most powerful creation ever !
The story is funny, but is sserious at times. There are times when I cried my eyes out, and there are times when I died laughing. This anime is non-stop hilarity and can not be described any other way.
[ART]
The art for the first 200 episodes or so is not the best quality, but is still equally enjoyable. DO NOT COMPARE THE DUB ART TO THE ORIGINAL. It has been modified for children etc. and looks absolutely stupid.
Eiichiro Oda's art is often compared to 'Fairy Tail' another shonen anime, but they are both amazing.
The design of the characters is both funny and amazing. They are so unique and I know I would never be able to compare them to anything else.
[SOUND]
please note, this is for the SUB.
SONGS are amazing, lyrics are truly heartfelt and funny. They set the story very well using songs and openings etc.
Characters voices are magical, whenever I was reading the manga I had a clear idea of what the voices would sound like, and I'm happy to saw my expectations have been met.
[CHARACTERS]
BEST part of One Piece is how unique and special the characters are. They are not all 'my mother/father died when I was young and now I wander the seas', no, they are all truly heartfelt, sad stories that are only similar in how heart wrenching they are.
Every back story, every flash back I had truly felt sad at, and it took an extra 3 episodes to un-break my heart !
[ENJOYMENT]
If you haven't read any of my review, here's a basic shortened version of it;
BEST. ANIME. EVER.
[OVERALL]
Simply the best. Couldn't ask for a better anime.

Either you are reading this because:
1# You want to know what the anime is about or basic scores
OR
2# You want to see if anyone else loved this anime as much as you did.
Whichever one of the two reasons, I hope you enjoy my review ^_^
I finished Full Moon Wo Sagashite [Searching for a full moon] a few months back and only realised recently I had not recommended it.
SO here is my long overdue review-
...
[STORY]
10/10
At a first glance this may seem to be a girly, shoujo anime that is about as deep as a paddling pool, but the story revolves around trust, forgotten memories, death and love.
It is a very emotional story line, that young children can enjoy the basic story, while older more mature audiences can relate to the hurt and pain that some of the characters feel.
A whole arc of the anime is spent on the empty emotions and mental scars left by death and loss, which makes the anime more emotional.
But do not think that this anime is all doom and gloom, it is sweet and tender and at some points, even laughable.
[Art]
9/10
The art is perfectly suited for this anime, and I am very happy with this style of anime. Though I am not usually a fan on this kind of drawing, the story line and characters mixed well with the art, and I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much as I did if the art was different.
[Sound]
10/10
The sound track used for this anime is the best I have experienced so far. I got the song onto my ipod and now listen to them alot.
The intro and credit songs are absolutely terrible, but the songs that Mizuki herself sings [when I say Mizuki I mean her voice actress and band: Changin' my life] are infact stupendous.
At first I was unsure whether I thought Mizuki to be a good or bad singer, but I guess that was only because we first hear her sing without a backing track, and every one sounds better with a backing track.
The voices are amazing and beautiful, and perfectly suited for each character.
[Characters]
10/10
The characters of Full Moon, are easy to relate to, as each one of them has experienced a different loss:
Friendship
Childhood
Love
Loved ones
They are each their own person, and the main characters all have a riveting past.
Enjoyment:
10/10
I simply loved this anime, purely unique and it's own anime
Overall:
10/10
A superb anime, which I thoroughly recommend for you to watch.

Bokura ga Ita is an anime that you wouldn't expect to be much, but you can't read a book by its covers.
**STORY**:
The story is really good. Patchy in some parts, but otherwise, consistent, excitable and really sad/emotional. :')
9/10
**ART**:
...
The art wasn't the best, I'll admit, and I wish they had used the art in some other animes, because, even though the head on shots were amazingly artistic, they had an awful lot of side shots, which, to be fair, were so bad, they annoyed me.
There were some beautiful scenes though, whenever romance occurred, they made it so dramatic and the colours were stupendous :D
But I'm giving it a seven because the side shots annoyed me.
7/10
**SOUND**:
The sound is pretty good, and the voices for the characters were well plotted. But Nana's was just awful :(
I'll give them credit for choosing the correct voice for her character, but the emotion put into the voice-acting was zero!
It was such a weak, empty voice, that, seriously sounded like a five year old just had her tonsils pulled out.
Yano's voice was great, but I took off 2 points because of Nana's voice.
8/10
**CHARACTER**:
The characters were fun and enjoyable, even Yano from his cold heartedness to his sweet and fun side :)
Sorry, but again, Nana killed it for me.
She just can't do anything on her own, can she?
She is so weak willed! And whenever they said to run after her man, she stood there at the window! >:[
And Yuri Yamamoto. Talk about STALKER
Gosh, they both annoyed me.
Sorry, I'm a strong person, and I don't understand why people are shy.
And stalker like.
8/10
**ENJOYMENT**:
Despite all the factors that made me so angry, my enjoyment balanced it all out. My friend told me about this, and she said I'd be crying my eyes out, but I doubted that I'd be crying for dang Nana.
If the ending had not ended the way it had, I would not have given this a 10.
I wasn't going to cry - until I saw YANO.
I burst out into tears.
Such a revelation!
Cold hearted Yano, who had such difficulty with showing his emotions. CRIED.
I'm sorry for spoiler, but he CRIED.
So I cried.
**OVERALL**:
So, even though there are some low marks, such as in Art, I loved this anime. If it makes me cry, give it a nine.
Thoroughly recommend, I enjoyed it so much.
PS- Don't give up on 10 episodes like I did, it was my first dropped anime. CONTINUE, WORK ON IT, it is so worth it.

Special A is a really brilliant and fun story, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was great, right down to the last sketch and I felt it compulsory to write a review.
Story:
Well, you have probably already read the basis on it. It is a funny, and clever twist on school life, and shows you how determination can get you anywhere.
The plot was good, and it was set out episode by episode in a fantastic sequence.
/The story itself was heart warming and never failed to make me laugh. Even in a serious episode, it still made me chuckle, which I think is a
...
good sign.
9/10
Art:
I like this kind of anime style, its realistic, but still a cartoon-ish drawing. The eyes are cute on girls, while boys have more of a serious vibe coming off them.
There are scenes where the characters look either really weird, or just so life-like (for a cartoon) that I've said to myself "Wow, how is anyone THAT thin?" or "OMW she looks SO real!" But usually, it just looks great, and normal.
9/10
Sound:
I think the sound on this anime is absoleutly incredible, the voices match the character perfectly and every beat, line and pitch is delievered exactly how it should be. The voice actors have done an amazing job with this anime, and I'm pleased to say, its perfect.
10/10
Character:
All of the characters (excluding some CERTAIN characters!) are very lovable, funny and well, unique.
Their each individual personalities fit in so well with the others, yet they are so different at the same time.
Each character holds their own special talent and unique ability that is so precious and super, really.
9/10
(I only gave it a 9, because of a certain character >

This is a very sweet anime, that is very cute and to the point.
I thought this was a good one-episode anime, that was quite funny, in some parts.
I don't usually like this style of drawing, but I dealt with it to watch this.
I would have liked it to have been stretched over more episodes, instead of being crammed into the one, as it did leave out a bit of detail.
The storyline was a good idea and as I have mentioned before, I do wish they had put in more episodes.
This was a good anime, especially for only half an hour, and overall, a plain brill
...
story.
I would recommend this for anyone who is in-between animes and just wants to relax for half an hour into a quick anime.

Lovely Complex is a really funny, easy to follow, sweet anime, that I sincerely enjoyed watching. Everything about it was great, especially the characters.
Lovely Complex, is literally about what the title suggests. A tall girl liking a short boy, whom she has been in a comedy duo with, for so long.
So, its a complex love, just as I said :)
The basic storyline is just brilliant, and so are the character's voices, they are just perfectly paired.
Usually animes end without one of the pair ending up with each other, or one doesn't realise and they just end off completely, without adding in
...
anything, but this anime never failed to deliever and gave me the perfect ending, a happy couple who have made room for each other in their lives.
This series never failed to make me shout at Otani, a complete and utter blundering baboon, and laugh at Koizumi's frantic actions.
This kept me laughing, and sometimes crying, until the very end, which I think is the perfect base for an anime.
PS
~
You may not cry at it, but I wept for ages at Ep 22. :(
(but that's 'cause I'm a big baby :))
lol :)
