I think this is the ideal anime to watch when you're starting your 20's. It can be enjoyable if you're not in this age, but definitely hits different when you're living the same things and have the same questions that Watashi has.

For me, this is the most powerful thing this anime has. I don't wanna get emotional, but with a protagonist that doesn't have a name that's experiencing the same doubts in life as you, is so easy to portray you, adding this masterpiece a very important complement. I don't think I'm the only one who had inner reflections while watching this anime.

It's not only ... because I felt identified that The Tatami Galaxy is amazing. It has a simple story, a university student trying to find his place in the world, asking himself if he did the correct choices that led his life this way, but how it's narrated makes it fantastic. I don't think this anime is so complex as others, but the at least the first episode was very confusing. Once you get used to the fast dialogues and the weird way this show has to develop the plot, it's easy to follow. But that doesn't make it less worth it. The story solves like a puzzle, with an amazing conclusion that makes you understand everything and gives this series a lot of potential to watch again.

The animation is incredible, too. Masaaki Yuasa's psychedelic style fits perfectly for the inner journey Watashi has the whole anime, and it's perfect for how the story it's developing.

I'll never get tired to recommend The Tatami Galaxy. A true masterpiece, that didn't need to be complex to make me think, reflect, and feel. Watching this is an experience everyone needs to live.

I really enjoyed Marginal #4. But certainly it's not what you could expect from an idol anime.

For me, being more similar to a slice of life instead of your typical idol anime that follows the path towards the debut is refreshing. Instead of focusing on a dramatic lineal story, I like to see four high school boys doing silly things. Acting like what they are: high school boys.

I also really like the sense of humour of this anime. It's silly, but somehow works. It takes the cliches of idol anime and make it absurd, creating very funny situations that may have an angst take in ... any other idol anime. I found myself laughing hard a lot of times watching this anime, because of how absurd everything can be.

The characters aren't deep, but that works for this anime. They have some cute moments, and I find everyone enjoyable. Every guy has different personalities, nothing new compared to others idol anime.

Of course, the music shines in this anime. Though the songs can be more or less enjoyable, overall they have a good quality. Worth to mention the animation, which is better than most of idol animes.

Although I understand why most people don't like idol anime, Marginal#4 is worth watching if you're into this world. I think that's the best way to watch it, having funny and absurd situations instead of all the drama. If you're into idol anime, and want to have a good time, please give Marginal#4 a try. But if you're not, I don't think you'll enjoy it.
