I think this is the ideal anime to watch when you're starting your 20's. It can be enjoyable if you're not in this age, but definitely hits different when you're living the same things and have the same questions that Watashi has.
For me, this is the most powerful thing this anime has. I don't wanna get emotional, but with a protagonist that doesn't have a name that's experiencing the same doubts in life as you, is so easy to portray you, adding this masterpiece a very important complement. I don't think I'm the only one who had inner reflections while watching this anime.

I really enjoyed Marginal #4. But certainly it's not what you could expect from an idol anime.
For me, being more similar to a slice of life instead of your typical idol anime that follows the path towards the debut is refreshing. Instead of focusing on a dramatic lineal story, I like to see four high school boys doing silly things. Acting like what they are: high school boys. I also really like the sense of humour of this anime. It's silly, but somehow works. It takes the cliches of idol anime and make it absurd, creating very funny situations that may have an angst take in ... |
