I don't know why people want this to be canon lol. There's nothing wrong with enjoying the movie as a spin-off.
Fans get to see silier versions of the characters while movie-only viewers get to see the events that made the series what it was (albeit in a slightly different light).
All this without the series needing to justify any continuity errors, repeat scenes or characters acting out of character.

This one's the Kenma movie.
The first set felt like a haphazard sequence of token scenes, giving each player a brief moment before diving into the main story. But if you can get past that, you're in for a real treat. I must say, I've never really related to Kenma all that well, as I’ve always found Kuroo to be the more interesting player in Nekoma's lineup. This movie managed to shift that perspective and bring out Kenma’s strengths in a new light. The POV shot near the end was awesome! All in all, I think this one's really worth a watch for fans and newcomers alike. |
