The main characters have the worst social skills you've seen in your life as well as a having a relatively similar appearance. Inuki would basically be what you'd get if you put a genderbent version of Tomoko Kuroki (the Watamote MC) into a horror anime.

...then you might like Konohana Kitan add

Relatively cute and innocent GL anime that don't focus on sex/fanservice. If you're looking for cute fluffy yuri with lots of moe these two are your best bets. If you like one you may like the other, though Konohana has a more relaxed atmosphere and focuses more on relationships between characters while Yuru Yuri is energetic/upbeat and focuses more on comedy.

Dark magical girl shows about girls competing to become best girl ( No really those are the basic premises ). The girls aren't your typical "magical girls" but they're still girls with magical powers so they technically qualify. Rozen Maiden is more light-hearted but gets darker in the second season.

While their plots contrast greatly they give off a very similar atmosphere and the characters share similar qualities and relationships with eachother. Elemental Gelade feels sort of like a more comedy-centric kid-friendly version of Pandora Hearts( they're both directed towards teens but PH is alot darker and contains blood ).

...then you might like Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon add

Both shows have a main girl who decides to crash at a random stranger's house and forces them to take her in so she can grow romantically close to said stranger. A majority of the main cast are otherwordly beings( dragons and aliens ). They also feature many openly LGBT characters (but don't cross over into full yuri/yaoi territory),

If you liked Higurashi no Naku Koro ni add

...then you might like Little Busters! add

These anime involve a large group of kawaii moe friends experiencing the painful events leading up to their emotional breakdowns. There is also a unique blend of comedy sprinkled in here and there. The true meaning behind both series' plots are not revealed until their respective second seasons. The aforementioned plots share a striking resemblance that shall not be spoiled, however Higurashi is for the most part a horror mystery series while Little Busters is a light-hearted dramedy.

...then you might like Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge add

Dansai bunri and Nazo no kanojo focus on rather untouched aspects of fetishism and sexuality in general. Rather than objectifying the characters for cheap unnecessary fanservice, the ecchi scenes in these series serve the purpose of solidifying the emotional connection between the characters in a sexually intimate way.

These series put an artistic spin on the exploration of character relationships through the use of symbolism. The use of aesthetically bright and eye-popping colors are prevalent throughout the shows.

Hanasaku Iroha and Hyouka have similar relaxed atmospheres that give off spring-timey vibes. The plots are fairly simple to understand and are complemented by an interesting cast of characters who bring their respective shows to life. Hanasaku focuses more on character drama while Hyouka focuses more on mystery.

Both are psychological animes with dark twists at every corner that leave very heavy emotional impact.

While they differ greatly in storyline they both have hidden much deeper meanings to their plot. Their stories mess with your head and answer some questions to their mysteries while at the same time adding even more mysteries along the way. They share similar themes and the most of the characters in both series have problems and/or psychological issues that they struggle with. They may come across as dark but they carry very meaningful messages hidden throughout their stories.

They seem cute at first but they are both dark and even creepy at some parts. They mess with your head in more than one way. They share some of the same themes and have similar characters. They deal with pyschological issues and have small amounts of gore here and there but nothing too graphic or a hard to look at.
