The begining of the story is somehow unattractive. Until the part where the protagonist was save from drowning. From that onwards. It really absorbed me into the protagonist's situations throughout the anime. Imagine what will you do if some girl asked to be your wife out of the blue when you are on a school vacation with your parents around? Too good to be true huh?
But this does bother me though. Having a mermaid as a wife. Duh what am i saying!
Alright. The story is somehow overall ... reasonabily entertaining and amusing. But I don't really find the ending of this anime satisfying, since it ends too brief and sudden.

This story deals more to a relationship between husband and wife. Showing how important trust is between one another. Love is all about trust. And it applies to everything else everytime, everywhere.
Besides have you ever come across something you did wrong and would want to aplogize to someone you've crossed and the word wouldnt come out of your mouth? This happens all the time but all you have to do is to just apologize!

Now the art wrok is just nice. Opening theme is no doubt one of my favourite. The background music is great. However! The ending really pisses me off. They should at least extend the ending and make it more like a happily ever after ending rather than this! (whatever..) Too bad for me i really like happy endings(though its a happy one, i am somehow still unstatisfied).

Now finally, would you consider yourself lucky if you were caught in an odd situation like this and getting married to a mermaid yourself?

This anime was written and directed by Makoto Shinkai which consists of three episodes.

This 5 Centimeters per Second is actually kind of nice. The story-line was cruel but somehow true (although i really did not like the ending myself). Life itself is cruel to us, you see. So it was a great thing that the director put all this into a story. If you try thinking backwards how have your dreams and your will came to reality? I dare say the probability is only 3/10. The idea doest not only apply ... on love itself, but everything else as well.

Now back to the story. This story really make me feel bad for the characters. They were always alone. Even though they sent messages through post at first. When they grew older. They texted through their cell phones. Through all this without having another chance to meet each other. Now that is miserable. Lets apply ourselves into the anime shall we? One question. If you have ever been in a relationship. How long will your relationship last IF the both of you are always miles away from each other?

This anime is good. Therefore it still deserve a 7/10.
