I both anime there is one boy surrounded by many girls in the same house. both main boys in these series are really unfortunate most of the time, but they make it up with speaking from the heart. both anime are focusing a lot on comedy with a hint of romance. if you like one of these you'll surely like the other too. :)

...then you might like Bokura ga Ita add

Both manga(and anime) are about deep and realistic romance life. in Bokura Ga Ita it's about teengares love life, and in Nana it's about young adults (in their 20-30 years). They share a lot of similarities, the dialogue both main character have inside themselves are similar. NANA:"Hey, Nana... Do you remember the first time we met?" Bokura Ga Ita:"At the time he was just 15. Now he's barely 16. But the truth burdening him, is always larger than his capacity". Both stories are about love life's ups and downs, and how different individuals handle it. if you like Nana or Bokura Ga Ita you'll surely like the other one too :) OH! and both story's have 2 Nana's xD

...then you might like Momoiro Heaven! add

both manga have: handsome/rich/popular boy who falls in love with a "plain" unpopular girl who doesn't care much about clothes, and they aren't like the other fan-girls of the popular boy in both manga. Also: both boys are perverts and have somewhat nasty attitude in their private life

If you liked Kanon (2006) add

...then you might like H2O: Footprints in the Sand add

They both have kind of sad storys, but they are both good. (at the last episodes see after the ending song too)
