This anime is one of the best made for a reason and if you don't take the time to watch it you will never know. Eureka seven in 50 episodes gives you everything you could want, story, action, romance, character development. There is not much I can say that the hundreds of other reviews have not already said, but I wanted to express my thoughts on a wonderful anime that while having similar features is truly one of a kind.

Story: you follow Renton Thurston, a young boy out of place with big dreams, but little hope. He continues through his everyday ... life, until one day something new happens, he comes in contact with the type 0, the original mecha named Nirvash, and the pilot a mysteriously lovely young girl name Eureka. From this meeting onward events layed out long before by his father now show his destiny, the only question is will he stand fast to the end. Watch the dang show and find out the rest for yourselves.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED, ok this anime is underrated in the description and the profile picture on MAL for this show is deceiving. Yes those are the man characters but the story is so much more. It starts with a game that leads to a realization of love, sounds simple enough right? Wrong, the story is really something special, like most its a fictional story and must be taken that way so as long as your not a picking it over with a fine tooth comb and trying to find flaws you'll enjoy it if this genre is one you like. The show does ... start out slow and I must say I had to press on through the first 5 or 6. But once you know who's who the story picks up tempo. This is a more mature audiences (not because of adult content but because it is deeper and more refined than your usual happy go lucky anime) romance/minor drama/minor action/minor political. Except the drama doesn't make you want to scream and the political isn't a bore to pay attention too, and the action gets the point across and is more realistic and not stupid. I didn't expect what I got and I was very pleased with what I received in the end.

Outline of story: (no spoilers other than outline of events so stop here if don't want to see what's coming)
This story begins with a young woman named Kajika Burnsworth. Now if you read the description of the show it will tell you a very small yet crucial aspect. Yes kajika is playing a game of sorts to find a husband, but the story in the story is where this anime becomes great. She meets these 3 different men and changes each of their lives, sounds like an anime theme done to death right, well as it progresses this becomes an issue of a nation and its involves several of the worlds largest corporations in its problems all leading back to oil distribution and a secret past that started it all. The Royalty of this nation changes hands and its is now a race to right the wrongs and bring back balance. Yes this is a vague overview but why should I spoil it for you, go watch it.

Ok this anime is treated rather poorly sometimes, it is underrated in many ways. Yes for the person searching for a deep, overly dramatic and moving story this anime is not going to give you that. but for many viewers who want a enjoyable romance with some action, where the drama between characters doesn't make you want to strangle someone THEN THIS IS THE SHOW FOR YOU! The main male character Yoshimura, Mamoru is great for a romance fan, while he is small and not the strongest character he is a Man. He doesn't make you want to physically harm him like other shows because ... he isn't a pervert, he doesn't get crazy mood swings and the best part is he does know what he wants and he fights for it with everything he has. It was a nice break from the usual over the top drama. True all my opinion but as long as your looking for a light hearted romance/action you will very much enjoy this.

Like everyone else watching this anime, i was really not sure what to expect going in, a highschool playboy raising a child, what but problems could follow. but from the first episode i was hooked. I found myself wanting to watch the next episode just because the main characters were nice and genuine, very calming to watch, more relatable then your standard character. it is a wonderful story, the progression was nice and the fact that while there is minor drama but its not so extreme that you want to bang your head on the wall because someone's an idiot like others have in them. ... it never stretched an arc watering down the story and stayed true to the main story. Each episode left you smiling. The ending while maybe leaving a couple things undone left, was very satisfying and nice to see, it left you being able to picture very easily how their future would unfold.

This review is on Kara no Kyoukai as a whole as well as the final episode. I wasn't sure what to expect when first starting these movies, but after watching the first I was hooked. Each movie was unique while still having its own purpose to the true full story. Each story grew and began to place the puzzle pieces. Speaking to the final movie it was in my opinion the best of the series. It expanded finally on the relationship between the characters and tied up the loose ends and gave the viewers some closure as well as letting us see the true nature ... of the characters. While having both sadness and joy at the end the viewer is left exhaling with relief that this mind bending ride is over but happy at the conclusion given to the characters. They finally can be at peace.
The series itself was very dark and intense, but served a purpose more than just blood and gore. This was a look into moral values and the nature of people. It showed people who fight to do what's right, people who fight to stay away from their fears and nature and people who give up on life and give in to evil. This is a story all its own and was filled of mixed emotions to the viewers. At times you were happy, then the next moment you were disgusted, not to mention confused for much of it.
I must say the art in the story was spot on. The colors were fantastic, a very dark story filled with spots of color gave a dramatic feel to the situations when needed.

I hesitated for a long time to watch this anime as i just brushed it off expecting some run of the mill high school story that only lasted 13 episodes then left me hanging, but was i wrong, this has become one of my favorite anime. from the moment it started it captured me, the idea behind it was interesting and the story progressed at a good pace. repeating enough to get the story rolling and then into the heart of it. the final few episodes take a good anime and make it great, true like any story there are things that could have made ... slight improvements and they could have spent forever on each individual, but i think taking it how it is, the story was moving and drew you into the characters emotional states. the conclusion was perfect in my opinion, just what was needed to complete a wonderful story.

Highschool of the dead is any zomby, action, anime, romance fans dream. The story is exciting and full of twists and is very entertaining. i cant wait for the next season.
story is dead on, lots of detail well layed out. it keeps your attention and you cant stop watching it.
art and sound are both amazingly done. The title song was well done and brings the feel of the show into music.
Characters are deep and well done. you cant help but feel for them and hang on the edge during the episodes. fan service was a bit crazy in a couple episodes but it ... doesnt matter, the overall show is amazing.
This show hit my top 5 right away and will stay there. Never expected to like it this much but it cant be helped now. HURRY UP WITH SEASON 2.
