Spoilers. Probably. Not really. There is definitely spoilers in this review.
NOTE: HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO REWATCH THIS ANIME IF YOU HAPPENED TO SEE MY COMMENT AND YOU ALREADY LEFT A COMMENT WITH HIGH MIGHTY RATING AGES AGO.
Well, well, well, well I rated this anime 7 back then when I was a child. I thought I should re-watch this after reading the synopsis and was clearly dumbfounded that I actually liked this anime. Was I masochist or am I just plainly ignorant back then?

I don't get it? Am I missing something here? There must be something wrong with me because I found this anime not good at all. I gave this anime a chance since I've heard good reviews about it, but I was wrong to the point that I stop watching it around 4-6 episodes (was really trying to understand how plenty of people find this an excellent series.)
Story and Character Average hair strands falling a day is probably around 100 but watching this anime probably made me lose hair as twice as normal. A guy who hates humanity? Oh cool, just make him stay that way ... Dec 1, 2016
Mine will be shorter than 90% of the reviews here.
I believe what threw most people off with this series was its genre. Barakamon 80% slice of life; 20% Comedy Handa Kun: 80% Comedy; 20% Slice of life Of course, the above percentage I provided was solely based on my opinion. I believe most people hoped for a slice of life feel which exactly what Barakamon was but this series didn't deliver this. Instead, comedy moments took over despite the repetitiveness. Essentially, we all have a different opinion but this series took a different path from its predecessor; therefore, please try to watch this without comparing to Barakamon. |
