The characters are intriguing, but they lack background stories. Another major flaw in the anime is the almost complete absence of music. Some characters, like Sakayanagi, appear sporadically like background extras. At first, seeing her on the cover art made me think, “How will they develop this character?” but unfortunately, almost nothing was revealed about her.

The characters are enjoyable and fun, but the RPG game they play within the anime is mostly boring to watch. The FPS game they played in one segment was much more engaging. Some characters are nice, the music is okay. Frieren is strong but uninteresting. I think the main character should have been the self-cloning blonde with glasses in the finale. The story is filled with too many episodes and flashback scenes that feel like they were made just to fill the time. I wish the anime had focused more on magic battles.
