Both mangas at first come across as very generic, but then subvert the stereotypes, rising above the expectations.

Mirai Nikki (TV)

Both shows feature dysfunctional love as one of their central themes. Durara takes a more in depth look at it, having several different relationships all at different levels of 'squick'

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry

The romance in both of these shows feels very similar: there is no harem hijinks - the main male and female lead are obviously attracted to each other and become the official couple early in the show.

Mahou Sensou
add

Both shows are total dumpster fires in terms of plot - when watching them, you need to put you mind in neutral and just go with the flow. But they are both fun to watch, and have a strong shonen romance element: A complete noob turns out to be super competent, and has tsundere girls in love with him, bu he doesn't have a clue. It's pure escapist wish fulfillment.

The Reflection

Both of these Anime use an experimental art style, which is very jarring. Concrete Revolutio's art actually made sense as a depiction of 1970's comic book art. We will see if Reflection has a point for its art style.

Sword Art Online

Both Sword art Online and Zegapain are action / romance anime, without (too much) harem antics or Ecchi. Though zegapain deals with more complex issues, if you like one chances are you'll like the other

If you liked
Shinseiki Evangelion

...then you might like
Ergo Proxy
add

Both shows externalize what is going on inside the main character's heads. Ergo Proxy at times feels like it was trying to be just as like Evangelion on purpose, with plot twists and a surprise ending that is only slightly less confusing. But there are also substantial differences: over all, the story is more upbeat, a story of a new world being born out of the end of an old one, rather than a simple cessation of all things.
