Subverted my expectations. I liked the over-dramatic portrayal of mundane things. Because they're all socially stunted, when they're put in a situation that's even minutely awkward, the events that ensue are hysterical.
The main characters Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are both very interesting, amusing and likable. They have the utmost respect and love for each other but the entire premise of the story is them stubbornly holding onto their pride - unable to be vulnerable or show weakness to a hilarious degree.

Although the premise of the story is not something particularly new, upon closer inspection the smaller nuances makes it a fun journey take part in. Characters and personalities are over-the-top and the misunderstandings are ridiculous.
Not too heavy in terms of drama so an enjoyably casual read if you're having a coffee or waiting for your bus. Though not smutty, the manga does offer some 'fan service' thru the character / costume design of particular characters.
