FIRSTLY! This Manga is NOT SEXIST, despite what many famous reviwers and the Wikipedia article say. If you think that then you are disregarding the reality that mangakas live their lives for fantasy so if some of the women seem overly concerned with finding love (3 very small side characters) then it is because fantasy is their world not because the authors don't believe in rounded women.

I am writing this review mostly to resond to that ridiculous accusation.

This manga is amazing! To take a story that is basically only about writing manga and turn it into a battlesque manga that constantly keeps you ... on your toes takes an author fan and beyond what most are capabale of. Expect no less from the author of Death Note of course.

The art is spectacular also. I didn't think the ending scene had the punch it should have but I think that was a calculated descision on the part of the creators who comment on their industry throughout their 10 volume work.

Read the manga for the art, an unexpected story and most of all for the characters who are HILARIOUS! Particularly EIJI I love him he is just the strangest individual who is sooooo weird and clever. Every scene with him in it has dynamic movement built into it.

If you care at all about manga this is a love note to the industry and to the people who enjoy this medium, be they writers, editors, aritists or readers. To be obsessed like every character in this story you have to be a little weird but as most readers will tell you that is a pretty accurate description of us.

Its a slice of manga life done but two men who have helped define the industry. Not to be missed.

My eyes still have the beginnings of tears in them from this story. I laughed and I cried it was so good. The story is amazing and it really makes you think about certain things. A lot of the time there isn't one clear answer and thats what makes it so interesting. I really wish that I could hear the songs that she sings because they would be so rich with feelings. It ends so beautifully.

At first, I read the review and then thought, Ok typical shoujo with decent art why not?

Then I got into the story. I just couldn't put it down. There is something about it. The plot may not be overly realistic but the characters and their emotions truly are. You really get behind the main character, she's pretty simple but there is something about the way she thinks, she's not stupid, she just knows who she is. You can't help but cheer for her. Love isn't something that just vanishes when another guy steps in, and there isn't always one right answer. These are some of ... the ideas that this manga, with its simple plot brings to the forefront of your mind as a reader.

I would recommend it.
Even if you don't agree with what I've just said there is one thing that is undeniable, this manga is addictive and makes you smile, tear up a bit and get frustrated. So read it and see what you think, maybe its just another shoujo or maybe its one of those stories that really sticks in your heart.

You'll never know until you try.

Could have been such a good manga. Why the hell was it so short!!

The one shots were great though I really enjoyed those.

THE ART IS AMAZING!!!!!! The story is actually really good too with a decent amount of twists and turns that keep things interesting and unlike most manga set in this day and age the plot isn't overly confusing. The characters and funny and sweet I really enjoyed reading it and I hope you do too.

Hmm... well the art wasn't great but I did really enjoy reading the manga. The plot is actually on the original side of Shugo, not something you haven't probably seen an adaptation of before but more realistic than usual (which is saying almost nothing :P) and with an interesting group of twists. I think that it got better as the story went along. Through those last couple chapters I was so into it and loving every moment. Yeah, I recommend people read it, not if not top of the line art bothers you however though like the plot and character development it does get better ... as the manga goes along.

HA AHA HA I just finished reading it. This manga isn't overly original plot wise but it is really funny and the art is really good. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something fresh for sure!

Simple and beautiful. It takes really talent as a writer and an artist to show the colours that we feel though only black and white frames. She pulls if off so beautifully and makes you want to paint. My fingers are itching for a brush even now, as I force them to type...

best oneshot ever!!! So cute, everyone should definitely read I wish there was more. it is so cute, I love the art too really good I am going to go look up more by the author right now.

Looking at my rankings of the manga you may be confused. 9 for a story that seemed so typical and yet it really wasn't. Art a 10 for the beauty that captured the ice and the love that these two shared. 8 for characters that were beautiful and yet not that deep, but for a manga that had to be short it worked perfect. My enjoyment was 9 since I was reading so fast to get to the end but when I got there my eyes had tears, but they weren't going to fall because I was so content. So overall a 10 for a ... tale that leaves you just they way it should in the end. With a satisfaction with the ending and only a slight wondering about the characters lives after this point. It's up to you to decide if you read it or not but if you have read the original tale about Kay, Greda, and the Snow Queen then this is an absolute must
