I have never really enjoyed slice of life anime, so I'm not really sure what compelled me to watch this, but damn am I glad that I did. I kept hearing people rave about it and kept wondering "what could be so great about a sappy music anime". I watched this in one day just because I had to know what would happen. The art is also so beautiful and brings the music and emotions to life in an amazing way. I would recommend this to anyone no matter the age or feelings about slice of life. I was just getting into watching anime when I started watching Haikyuu. I have never played on a volleyball team so when I saw that it was about volleyball I did not expect to become so attached to all of the characters and the story. When I started watching it I was feeling very down and borderline depressed and for some reason the story and characters really made me feel happy.
