The trio of Bell, Hestia, and Aiz have a similar dynamic with the Subaru, Emilia, and Rem. You will notice this once you watch both shows. Although there's a massive difference in tone and plot since Re:zero is more serious and tragic and Danmachi is more of the harem and shounen show.

Both MCs are cold and emotionless at the start of the show. Both of their story progresses by them encountering different types of people. Violet meets several people to understand the meaning of "love" while the orb (name of MC is sort of a spoiler) goes on a journey and spends time with the people that it meets as it learns how to be human along the way. Oh yeah, both shows are also depressing af.

Both MCs are just average people that wants to achieve something great in the field of arts (game creation). They are also surrounded by talented individuals and they all live in the same house/dorm.
