This is an unique anime, with good and outstanding sequels and prequels.
I've dropped this series because it seemed to me far too strange. Then I came back to it a few weeks ago and, god, that was rewarding.
Bakemonogatari features the history of a half-vampire named Araragi Koyomi and his attempts to solve spiritual-related problems of girls who surround him, with help of a supernatural expert and a blonde little girl that'll amaze you.

There are some stories that set standards to any work to come after it. Elfen Lied is one of them. Deep and feasible characters, a gut-wrenching gore when it needs to be, memorable music, great art style (despite that big eyes as hell) and an excellent story , considering the limitations of 13 episodes. Which is truly sad, because it'd be a masterpiece if it could show up how deep and dark the manga story is. On complete form, Elfen Lied is a full-fledged tragedy, that touches on sensitive topics and explore humanity's issues.

At beginning of the manga, KissxSis is your typical formulaic ecchi: an average and relatable teenage boy, some pretty and kinky female characters and a quasi-twincest relationship, with a constant sexual tension and some flavoured school life.
By the 20th chapter, you'll start to sense some character development and the forming of bonds between the main characters as they delve into the story, at a really slow pace. Meanwhile, you'll have some of the best boner-pumping boundary ecchi out there: Ditama Bow is really nice on bringing that horny moments on the manga, and he slowly adds more story between the ecchi moments, which turns out ... |
