This is an extremely mature Manga, don't let a kid read this. I am a sucker for a deep and well thought out storyline, well I found it in this series. Its a great story about how an abused girl who feels she will never love again after being abused by her stepfather, falls in love with a boy. The boy who has mutual feelings for her and knows her terrible secret, must find a way to show his affection with out driving her away and without letting her know that he knows of her dark past. This was a great manga, very deep and
...
emotional, I loved it. That's all I really have to say.

I have watched every episode to date (207), I started this show a year ago when I was bedridden from a wrestling injury and I had nothing to do for the first 4 weeks of that summer, I watched the majority then. Although this show started off as Ichigo and Rukia as the main characters, and some of their friends as the supporting cast, it has evolved into this story about many different characters, and many different plots and storylines, although it still ties into the main plot somewhat. I still like the show but it has changed over time. There are many problems with

the show though, my main is that no one dies, sorry if I spoiled for you, but I want you to know going into this that the plot doesn't really seem to move forward to me since everyone lives and no one dies (friend or foe). My other is that out of the 207 episodes I would say only 100 are even relevant to the original story line, the rest are fillers that they did in order to delay for the manga to come out, for example they wasted like a whole 30 episodes on a bount season, when they had to fight vampires. I still like the characters, and the main theme of the plot, but unless you have a lot of free time, I suggest you not start this series now, and if you do; I have seen the lists that some people post of what episodes not to watch because they have absolutely nothing to do with the real storyline, I would find one of those and use them, I wish I had. I really only watch this show still because I am too time invested to just give up. Its really starting to remind me of dragon ball z, in the sense that the characters never really die, and there just to the point where there making up crazy powers just to keep this story going on forever, I feel there is no end to this plot.

I love how this show is mixed, there is that dark creepy story always luring in the background, while there are fun and innocent characters being developed up front. I spent a few hours and watched all 13 episodes and the ova, and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I love how everything in the story line ties together in the end, and amongst all the sadness in the film you still see love and innocence in many of the characters, I thought it was a good contrast. If your into Sci-Fi and Ecchi and like to see them together, than this series is for you.

Its mainly about Lucy who is a Diclonius, she is an outcast and is abused by the government, one day she escapes her captors but is shot in the head and losses her memories. She is found by Kouto who is a loving and a caring person and swears to protect her. I cant say much more with out spoiling the plot, but this is a very deep story line, I cannot believe how much it made me think and its only 13 episodes. This is a dark, quick moving, and deeply emotional anime. I would suggest it to anyone who wants to be entertained for a few hours and like something that is motivating and yet still depressing at the same time. Like I said I love the contrast of the film, and how much storyline they packed in 13 episodes.

The description of this show does not do it justice. I actually just finished watching the last episode this morning at 4:00am, after spending two days straight watching the whole series. I am not going to lie I knew about the series since it came out in 06 but I just never gave it the time of day because I thought it would be just a stupid vampire plot that was either endless or shallow. I was completely wrong, a friend who had watched it convinced me too, I admit the first 3 or 4 episodes seem painfully slow and way too soft for what

a dark anime should be. It got interesting very quickly, and soon I could not stop watching, hence the reason I turned off my phone and locked my self up for the last couple days. The story as described is about a girl named saya fighting vampire like beings, but this is only a main theme to the plot. The real story is how Saya deals with being different and coming to except herself as she is and how she interacts with humans. The story is dark and like my other fav, code geass (also a bandai film), they are not afraid to kill main and lovable characters in order to progress the story line (I am trying not to spoil but I want to give you a good ideal of how dark this anime is). This anime is really about one girls hardships, feelings, and suffering. It will blow your mind and make you think in a different manner.

I stumbled upon this one day and started reading it, I don't usually read love mangas but after reading the first chapter I realized that the main character, Tsubaki, reminded me of my girlfriend from junior high. I am no Kouto (the other main, the boy who sweeps her off her feet), but I felt a personal connection to the story as many of you might. A lonely girl who doesn't fit in, but catches the eye of the most handsome guy in school and changes to be with him. I have only read up to chapter 23 because that's all I can find translated.
...
I must say that the story seems to be evolving into a good plot though from what I have read. I think this will be a good manga once completed, but all the scans and translated versions I have seen for this manga is sub-par. I still thank the person doing it cause I know I cant, but I would wait for the manga to get father along and maybe a pro translator to pick up this series before I would jump into it. I am still reading it weekly though. Also I am trying not to spoil but pay close attention to Tsubaki's sister in the beginning, I didn't pay much attention to her but she is turning out to be a big part of the plot so I went and reread some of her parts to get a feel for her. I didn't pay attention the first time cause I was so wrapped up with Tsubaki and Kouto. Also I probably misspelled the names, only because I have seen it translated different ways in each chapter lol.
