Overall I think this anime deserves an 8.5 on my scale, but unfortunately there isn't that option.

Story: The story itself is fairly basic, but has some interesting back story thrown in every once in a while. However, the anime does seem rushed. I think a lot of people did not give this show a chance because the beginning is so chaotic. The first episode does not feel like an introduction at all, in fact you are pretty much thrown into the story.

Art: I really enjoyed the animation. It seemed to be well done (it better for being 10 episodes). Maybe, it is the ... little girl in me, but I appreciated that they changed the main characters clothes and hair throughout the show.

Sound: Characters voices were fitting. The music throughout the show was very nice and enjoyable. Originally, I didn't like the intro song but it grew on me.

Character: This is one of my favorite things about this show, but at the same time could've been better. Rahzel, the main character, was AWESOME. She had a great back story, was interesting, kicked butt and was everything I wanted her to be. However, the other characters could've been so much more. I really saw potential for interesting characters and there were definitely moments, but I think the anime just didn't flesh it out well.

Enjoyment: Basically this show just captured me and kept me hostage. There is such a great mixture of humor, action, and friendship/love that I kept thinking "I'm going to rate this a 9!" I couldn't justify that high of a score overall, but the enjoyment level was definitely a 9.

This is set more like an actual episode or a special. On its own this doesn't have much of a story, but fit it in the series and it works just fine.

It focused almost entirely on Ogata and Tamaka's relationship, while dealing with all of the typical anime hot spring moments we love. Really this was purely comedic and exaggerated a lot of the characters roles in a hilarious way. Even Marjory makes an appearance (drinking of course).

If you are looking for an ova that has an indepth storyline, this isn't it. However it is something good, if you are looking for a ... field trip, fan-service, fun episode. :D

First of all, I've never actually watched the series Rurouni Kenshin, so everything I write is from a blank slate perspective. :)

Story- This was really beautiful and sad. The plot idea of an assassin who no longer likes being an assassin, though already done, was completely remastered and thought out in a unique fashion. I was completely enthralled from the beginning and wasn't completely sure where everything was going to turn out. I like the fact that they seemed to write this so that somebody who hasn't seen the show could understand and be emmersed. I could definitely see this as a stand alone.

Art- Sometimes ... I wasn't sure if I liked the style of this, or not. They used live shots for water and fire and I really did not like that. Possibly it is a personal preference thing.

Character- I loved the twists and complexities to each character. I did not think that anyone in this was predictable or banal.

Overall I think this was a fantastically done piece and I'm pretty sure this just got me interested in watching the actual show now.

I went from Cardcaptor Sakura to this series, so overall I think I saw an improvement atleast in the maturity level. And though there were some things I found lacking I am going to continue to the second season.

Likes:
It is a really interesting story idea and I just love the chance to explore different worlds. The characters have some depth, unique traits and all set eachother apart nicely. Also, the interactions between characters is pretty amusing. Actually, the anime overall is pretty funny as well as being serious. It touches on issues that CC seemed to skirt around and actually makes you "feel" for ... the characters.

Disklikes:
There was a lot of potential, but as the story moves on it almost seems to get less interesting. I saw this in CC as well. Each episode's format is repetitive and that started to cause me to lose interest. Also, sometimes the expressions on the characters faces drove me nuts... during certain scenes they would appear placid, when I felt there should have been more emotion.

Overall, this anime is something that I enjoyed when I was bored. It was not something that I obsessed over or had to watch constantly until I finished the season. Yet, it does have a unique story and is an easy watch. I probably will not ever rewatch it, but it is definitely something I don't regret watching.

I remember seeing this on TV back when I was in middle school and it was dubbed. I was extremely put off by the horrible dubbness of it all. :) However, just recently I decided to give it another chance. I'm glad I did, because I was feeling like watching a show like this.

This is not a show that is going to make you cry or have any really strong emotions, but you have to remember for which age group it is intended. Ignoring that, this show has a surpising bit of romance that is actually quite developed. I felt that they dealt with ... this in a really mature way, and did not treat the romance in this story as childish.

However, one of my main problems with this story is the sort of repetitiveness of it. The cards never seem like too much of a trial, and pretty much at the end of each episode most everything is dealt with. This is something that you find in this level of a show. Also, many things needed to be said were put off for ages because everytime someone would go to say it, they would be interrupted. This was humorous for a short time, but just annoying eventually.

Overall, I enjoyed this show. It was funny and cute. It was not something I watched obssesively, like other shows, but I didn't drop it either. I feel like for a anime made for little girls, it was really well done. (Just don't watch the dub version)
