Not a bad watch in 2x speed.
The still frame of the animation actually looks pretty nice. It is when they start moving that the animation gets really wonky. CGI was used just for the MC to sit on his bed. Everything in between the fights is slow paced and kind of boring. The fights only go on as long as the writer wanted it to, and then the MC will find some way to paralyze and poison everyone, insta-killing.
There are some attempts at humor, but the most successful is the animation and characters themselves.
This leads me to why I think this show is
...
actually decent in 2x speed. I enjoyed it in 2x speed for the following reasons:
-Not much happens
-A lot of the dialogue actually feels almost natural in 2x speed. The dialogue itself does not have much content or give much worldbuilding. Everyone is kind of just introduced as "some of or THE strongest guy" and then MC just paralyze poison him GN
-The animation is already goofy. But it can look more goofy in 2x
-Wastes less of your time. There is like one scene in the final episode where 4 or 5 seconds are dedicated to just a landscape shot of the forest trees he is running through without him in it. There are also promised neverland slideshow fighting scenes. In the final battle.
Failure frame is way too slow, the animation is terrible, and the characters are all way too uninteresting. The only reason for watching is the revenge plot, which does not progress by the end of the season. Not recommended unless in 2x, skipping the op and ed.

Main takeaway: If you are planning on watching ddddd, I want to recommend to wait until all the episodes are out and then watch them in a timely fashion. The show is slow and it is easy to miss details.
I previously wrote a review saying that the show was essentially too slow and confusing. However, something about my review bothered me, even if no one has seen it. I felt as though the story was better than I had originally thought, but I was not sure whether I wanted to put in the effort to resolve this nagging suspicion. So I went back and
...
rewatched some of it upon finally catching up with episode 14 as of today. I have since deleted that review and instead decided to create an advisory message for all potential new viewers. Though I still think that the story develops really slowly and I would not recommend it to the average viewer for this reason, I think that is enjoyable for a different reason.
If you have not already been exposed to the story through the novel (like me), then your viewing experience may be confusing and leave you wondering "where is this going?" Upon rewatching, I noticed I was enjoying the small details and hints scattered throughout the establishing episodes. As I am no longer splitting my focus between deciding whether I should keep waiting for something exciting to happen, I am now appreciating the characters and the jokes more. The thing about ddddd is that it takes a little more effort to appreciate. I like to watch shows when I come back from work or to take a break from college work, so I started this show hoping to be able to turn off my brain and get excited. This is not the case for ddddd. This is also a reason why I think it might not work for the average viewer.
In the expert analysis of someone who has never taking a storyboarding class, a show that is exciting from the get-go tends to have a hook. The story plays off and explores this hook with all the tools in the story-telling toolkit (humor, twists, unique characters, difficult decisions, etc.), which makes it interesting. However, ddddd is not a show that is exciting from the get-go. At first it seems like the alien ship is the hook, but it's just the source of different storylines that later come together. More characters are introduced, setting the stage for them to collide, but this too is not very exciting. It reminds me of Odd Taxi, but instead of things coming together around episode 4, ddddd starts doing this around episode 14...with just 4 more episodes to go. As of now, I cannot say whether I recommend watching the show or not, I will likely post a review when it completes.

A decent "feel good" show with great consistent animation, decent to good characters, and an average plot.
If you are looking for good and consistent animation, great fight animation, and decently likable characters, then Wind Breakers is a great option for you. There is no one that is truly evil, and everyone has their hearts in the right place. Themes do not get super deep or traumatic, and everyone gets a happy ending and every major character is friends by the end. The main character is tsundere and the bits regarding this may occur a little more frequently than I would like, but I can
...
see how people may enjoy seeing this, especially if they like his character design or find him attractive.
Very PG-13, pretty easy to watch with kids, but that does not mean it is only for kids. The humor is PG and even the "bad guys" are not so bad OR are one dimensional. The character designs are alright and the animation is the real kicker here. Really enjoyable to watch such nice animation when no other aspect of the show detracts from the enjoyment. I would recommend watching this to anyone so long as a tsundere MC would not be a major issue for their enjoyment.
Heads up that it ends at the start of the next arc/fight, which will be picked up in season 2, not out yet.

As a viewer, I think I value an interesting plot with satisfying thoughtful conclusions the most. However, if I watch a less plot driven show and rather a character interaction oriented show, I like when the characters are likable or interesting and the situations they are in are done enjoyably. If you are like me, then you may not find the conclusions to the character conflicts very thoughtful or satisfying, or the MCs likable or interesting.
The issue I believe I had with this anime is that at times it seems plot driven, but in others it seems more focused on the character interactions. However, it
...
felt like to me that the story did not wade too deeply in either to really feel like much happened I felt like if it committed to a conflict or just to the slice of life nightlife ambience a little more, it would have not felt so awkward.
Romance/plot (2-3/5):
For those who really like romantic development, this show is pretty slow paced for most of the show, not super satisfying, 2-3/5 stars depending on the person?
Characters (3/5):
For those who enjoy original characters and their interactions, this show does have some of that, but it does not take the main focus. Most of the focus is on the 2 main characters, whose relationship does not really progress. I actually felt like the side characters that only appear for one or two episodes were more interesting than the MC girl and guy's relationship. On a slightly unrelated note, I also did not really like how Nazuna (MC girl) was always dressed.. really skimpy under the coat. 3/5
Art/music/VAs/cameo (9/10)
Like most everyone will say here, the art and colors were really nice and a the main plus to watching the show! The animation was very crisp and clean, characters ALL looked really nice and the manga style was conveyed and unique! I really liked the op and ed and that one creepy nuts song they used as part of the ost as well, really fit in for the nighttime vibe. The VAs did a great job, and for some who did not notice while watching, creepy nuts even got a cameo in the show! Lol. 9/10
Resolution to arcs/stories(5/10)
I think that the resolutions for all the different conflicts in the show could have been better or more thoughtful. I feel like when you watch a show that provokes thought or puts characters in difficult decisions, 75 percent of the enjoyment comes from seeing the characters resolve those issues/make a decision that surprises you, or chooses an obvious, but difficult/painful decision in an admirable way. To put it simply, I feel the resolution should leave the viewer feeling strong emotions to really leave an impression with them. Unfortunately for me, the resolutions did not leave me feeling impressions whether good or bad. I felt it was average, hence the 5/10.
Overall 6/10
Okay-Enjoyable side characters, uninteresting MCs, slow romance, lack of depth, great art and nice character designs, great sound and VAs, great op/ed, sprinkled fan service, okay character interactions, and average story conclusions/resolutions, Yofukashi no Uta is an alright show in MY opinion! The resolutions were a little disappointing and I felt like there was a lot of details that were left out or not discussed much. Do not let me stop you from enjoying the show if you would like to try it out! There seems to be a lot of people who enjoyed it, and that is perfectly okay, everyone is different.

Captivating beginning, disappointing ending.
I am the last person advocating for less mystery or less predictability (at least with the plot in the case of this anime, as the result of encounters with the monsters of this world were clear). However, I felt as though there was a bit too much "new" mystery and not enough building on the "old", or the mysterious reveals already in place. This leaves the viewer with a lot of questions and the worry that the majority may never be answered.
The show really does well in creating a post-apocalyptic atmosphere, and it was very fun to watch our two
...
main characters journey in such an environment. Had it been just that, this might've been an enjoyable, lighthearted at times, heartfelt in others, ecchi-at-times show. However, the last two episodes come out of nowhere and taint the pleasant feelings with unpleasant ones to say the least. To make it worse, the unpleasantness goes on too long, the characters move on too quickly for such an experience, and the ending scene with our protagonists seems to act like what happened in the past two episodes were as important as a filler arc, making the characters feel unreal and not human.
The art, shot composition, and audio were all amazing and really caught and kept the viewers attention. The OP and ED were really good, but I have to say that it was really hard to feel the same way about a clearly happy and lighthearted ED after watching episodes 10-12. Things really weren't the same after that. I really wanted to like this show - I really DID like this show - and I was willing to overlook the suboptimal writing if not for the greatly disappointing final episodes.
Sometimes many shining moments can be undermined by a terrible few. I believe that to be the case for Tengoku Daimakyou. As much as I enjoyed nearly every aspect about the show up until that point, I cannot ignore the ending.

Just a recap episode from the first half of the show. I could only find half of it on Youtube with auto translate. You do not need to watch it. The art style is the same as the rest of the series.
I gave it a 6/10 because it is okay but you will not need a refresher if you are watching the series in a timely fashion anyways. It also is extremely hard to find and not worth the quality that you may find it in. There are no new scenes, just a short scene where Kogure is writing in his diary when thinking
...
of Sakuragi and Rukawa.

No spoilers!
Summertime Render is a mystery thriller that grabs your attention and does not let go. It is well paced, has a complex story, great characters, a stellar cast, and amazing animation to back it up. It also does well to always introduce new elements into the mix without creating that sense of "plot bs" that a viewer feels when elements are introduced poorly.
Summertime render excels at constructing this narrative that makes it hard to get bored. Things that would be repetitive are completely removed, and it does not feel like there is any time wasted when watching.
The soundtrack is well done,
...
and the opening and ending songs are really catchy. They definitely budgeted a little when it came to the first OP and ED, but the music quality for both did not. It is a bit of a shame that it was not animated much, but any viewer can see that they did not budget for the main story at all. The second OP and ED both sound and look amazing though, so look out for that.
The ending can be a little controversial. Personally, I found it a tiny bit frustrating, but many may love it. Nevertheless, the ride is unique and definitely worth a watch. There are a lot of details and qualities about this show that make it such an easy recommendation. If you love mystery, thrillers, a complex story, and watching a show where you feel like you have to rewind in order to catch every detail - this is the show for you.

Though the main series may not be perfect, I found the OVAs, in particular the second episode to be very close to it.
Both episodes are funny and simply enjoyable to watch. The first episode is a classic OVA that's fun to watch, but the second has all of the ships, humor, and most of all, everyone visiting Capyper land. This in and of itself is what I was waiting for as Capyper land is hilarious as well as Yato's belief that the Capyper are real and not people in suits. There are a lot of jokes and character interactions that were so satisfying to
...
see.
If you enjoyed Noragami enough to give it at least a 7 (or 6 if you're really critical), or maybe gave it a lower rating but appreciated the characters at least, this is a must watch.

Beastars season 2 is a show that builds emotional turmoil and purpose over the span of its 11 episodes then kinda just diminishes the purpose of it in the final episode.
Story (7):
The story is a continuation of last season concerning finding the killer. A snake character is introduced over the period of like, 2 or 3 episodes that sets Legoshi on the defining arc of this season and then is completely forgotten even in the final episode. Not even a single 5 second scene of her with a satisfied look on her face looking at a news report. The final episode really is
...
the deal breaker where you enjoy or did not enjoy this entire season. I enjoyed the entire show until the last episode, which honestly kinda disassembles the development made in the past 11 episodes. There were two developments, which were rouis's and legoshi's own developments, and Rouis's was more entertaining and thought out in terms of quality and character confliction. Legoshi's was weak due to the conflicting ending and the 4 mid fight talking breaks which broke the tension and lost my serious attention.
Art (8):
Idk how it is for everyone else, but the CG animation either got better or I got used to it sometime in the first season. The second season was the same if not better. The opening and ending in particular were both pretty good.
Sound (10):
I really liked the op, I think that is something that most people will agree on. The ending was also pretty good as both were by Yoasobi. I did not really notice the sound while watching the show, meaning that it can't have been that bad.
Character (7):
I think that the voicings for the characters are all really good. There is no doubt about that, the quality of the acting is really well done. However, the writing for the characters seems kinda wasted once it hits the last episode.
Enjoyment (7):
Because of the last episode, I can't see myself giving this higher than 7 for enjoyment. It soiled it that much for me.
Overall, 7. Same as enjoyment.
