This is a short, spoiler free review (well, I'll be honest, aside from the characters, there's basically no major things that can be spoiled in this anime). Also, I'm assuming you've already read the plot or watched the anime, so no need to do any introductions.
Story: 8
Now this anime is very simple, and the story isn't deep at all, so you can't start watching this expecting a serious plot. With that said, some people might find this extreme or cheesy, and some might find it funny and comedic. It really depends on what kind of humor you've got to like the story. And it's gotta
...
be dirty humor! "A world where perverted things aren't allowed, no, aren't even legal" that would be the summary if I had to write it short and easy. Where would you see yourself in such a world? Against the law, with the law or living neutral to everything? Well, your answer might change after you watch this.
Art: 8
The art was amazing. Looked like a lot of anime that I've seen so I wouldn't say "epic" or "unusual" but also very well made and never lacking or awkward. There are no actual fight scenes in here, but you can see some action and that's also very well made. Every character design was special and different so that rises the score a lot to me!
Sound: 8
Keeping this short and simple. The BGM was good and went very well with whatever was happening and the OP was alright but not memorable. The ED tho, was very fun to me. I actually ended up listening to it on every episode AND dancing along with the characters!
Characters: 10
Let's not dive in very deep as this is the only spoiler-full zone. In co-ed anime (where there are both male and female characters) it's nearly impossible for me to not dislike a character. However this anime managed to keep me very neutral to some of the characters I could've found annoying in other situations. Why outstanding though? Well, I couldn't choose a favourite! Anna was amazing in everything and she would've been my first choice but I also really liked Fuwa and Tsukimigusa. AND not only that, but all the other characters were very well made. Funny but didn't annoying one bit!
Enjoyment: 9
Now I mentioned above that you may like this or not depending on your humor, and it goes the same for whether you're going to enjoy this or not. This is a comedy and parody anime, and people tend to have VERY different opinions on what's funny and what's not; so if you're not a fan of dirty humor and a lot of censored but understandable dirty talk and scenes, then this is not for you. However, if you are, then this is a hidden treasure of laughs and joy. I must admit that there wasn't even one episode that didn't make me giggle.
Overall: 8- Very good.

This is a short, spoiler-free review. I'm writing this assuming that you have either read the plot or watched the anime.
Story: 9
The story about a bunch of heroes coming together to kill the evil king is one of the oldest, most cliche you can find, and it gets repetitive to some people. However, Rokka no Yuusha was different. If you're starting it halfheartedly just by reading the plot, then please do so. I did the same. Read the plot, decided the story was good enough and watched. But it pulled me into a complete different scene. I was very impressed at how the writer of
...
this managed to play with the mind of everyone, characters and viewers/readers alike. Absolutely astonishing.
Art: 9
The art was amazing. I've seen like it before, yet it's unique in its own way. They also did a great job in mimicking the light novel, which is always a good thing, since if you know a bit about LN, then you know they usually always look similar in the anime adaptions. The fight scenes were well done, although a little weird at times but still does a good job at delivering what we want.
Sounds: 9
I was so impressed! I usually only listen to the Openings and Endings once, but in this anime, one particular ending had me listening till the very end. The voice actor were popular but very well chosen. Nobody but Hisaka Yoko could've done Nashetania justice.
Characters: 9
I will not get very deep into the characters as that would be major spoilers, and I recommend that you watch this without reading their MAL profiles. My favourite was Nashetania. I was very neutral to most other except for her. She left such a good taste in my mouth whatever she's done! She's eye catching and special! For her, I'd read the light novel even.
For once tho, I didn't have a least favourite.
Enjoyment: 9
Greatly enjoyable. Unless you're Sherlock Holmes, I'd say the events keep you on your toes and you'd be glad you didn't watch this while it was airing! I finished it in one go, and that in itself says a lot. You see a mix of so many things different people would enjoy.
Overall: 9- Great.

This review will be short and have very little to no spoilers, but if there's any, you'll be warned ahead. If you haven't read the plot or watched the anime, here's a summary:
(you can skip this)
After moving, Tachibana Hotaru finds herself playing a new kind of survival games with Matsuoka Masamune and Yukimura Tooru. This anime follows her life as she matures, learns about life, her friends and begins to fall in love with the game.
Story: 9
It's surprisingly unpleasant how we don't see more anime like this. It's funny, fast paced and straightforward, so if that's not your thing, I wouldn't recommend this. The makers
...
did a great job skipping the unnecessary details whilst allowing you to watch the characters, especially the main evolve and grow. It definitely kept me always coming back for more, and now that this is over, I might want to check out the manga. So, job well done.
Art: 9
They did a very good job at this, keeping it as similar to the manga as it could get. The fighting scenes and character designs were absolutely well done. You can't even tell that Hotaru is a girl which is a good thing because that keeps you on the same pace as the rest of the characters.
Sounds: 8
Although the Opening and the Ending weren't the best in my opinion, I liked the BGM a lot, especially in the fighting scenes. Plus, they brought some great voice actors; I mean Mikako Komatsu is the best at playing both gendered trap characters. (google that if you don't know what it means.)
Characters: 10
I have 0 complains. Amazing. Absolutely outstanding. You don't usually see such a great main female lead- no, it's almost impossible to find more than 3, and Tachibana was one of them. Not only does she mature quite a lot throughout the show but she shows everybody how bad-ass she is! I was very pleased with everything about her. Her bloodlust is amazing, and she's very strong. On point.
The rest were all good to me. Matsuoka reminded me of Tamaki from OHSHC and Ichi reminded me of Nobume Imai from Gintama.
Enjoyment: 8
Very enjoyable. It excited me when Hotaru and her team were fighting yet never bored me when they were doing other things. Because this is spoiler-free, you might wonder why I have given this an 8 score, but if you watch it, you'd know.
Overall: 9- Great
I would've given it an 8 if it wasn't for Hotaru really. She makes everything better. I hope there's a second season.

Now this is going to be a quick review, for those who don't like reading a lot. I'm going to assume you've read the plot (or watched the anime) so you know mostly what should be going on.
Here's a short spoiler free summary tho: (you can skip this)
After a gate appears in Ginza and causes some ruckus, Itami Youji, a 33 year old otaku, along with other soldiers is sent through it to see what's on the other side. As the story progresses 4 main girls are introduced; Pina Co Lada, Rory Mercury, Tuka Luna Marceau and Lelei La Lalena. They go through some events
...
in order to achieve peace between Japan and The Empire.
Story: (may contain VERY minimal spoilers) 10
I thought this was very interesting. I have seen Outbreak Company but wasn't much of a fan because of all the harem, which Gate managed to mostly dodge (at least for the first season). But the story of going to another world and exchanging the cultures is always intriguing. That's like when you show people the trap characters and they're shocked. The progress went very well, smooth and without any complicated subjects or events. Everything was straightforward and unlike some army anime, required no heavy thinking. A tiny bit bubbly, yet serious and well balanced for everybody's enjoyment. And of course, the ending makes you want to watch the second season.
Art: 9
The art was quite common, but very good. Amazing visuals and the fights were well done. I personally had no complains. If you're not a fan of big eyed girls (like a friend I have) you might find this fit, since they have all sorts of eye designs.
Sounds: 9
The sound in this anime was not remarkable or memorable but very well aligned with the scenes, making them even more interesting and less boring. It did the job very well to me so I also have no complains.
Characters: Spoiler free- 9
If you know anything about me, you most likely know how much I usually find the male protagonist annoying. This also applies to books and movies, not only anime. However Itami was different, or at least managed to bend my view of him. At first, I didn't like him much; he's the nice all girls over him type of Otaku that you see a lot in anime, VERY COMMON. But then you start to know more about him and although we still don't know much, I could say he does great job at being a neutral to me. I just don't mind him.
The girls were awesome. I liked almost everything about them all and hopefully that doesn't change next season. My favourite was Lelei, but I liked Rory a lot too, especially because of how powerful she was.
Enjoyment: 9
The show was very enjoyable all from the beginning to the end. Didn't bore me and kept me starting the next episodes without hesitation. I finished it in less than 2 days.
Overall: 8- very good.
