Are you tired of the overused main lead dynamics, and looking for something new? Something like.. a confident, ambitious female lead and an adorable, gentle-giant male lead, maybe? (It's a rare dynamic among fantasy romances, you know?) Or perhaps, you've grown sick of misunderstandings and love-triangles, and want a mature, not overly-dramatic story? Well, you've come to the right place!
This manhwa is maturely written, the pacing is great and it also feels incredibly realistic. The art was very pleasing and just right for this manhwa. The plot was pretty good. A noblewoman in that age starting a relationship counselling business all by herself, abandoning
...
her comfortable life and title, is not something you come across everyday. I also liked that sometimes the characters talked and actually cared about things outside of their lives/relationships, for example the Kingdom, the common folk and their troubles.
Next, the characters. All the characters have a fair amount of growth, which happens quite naturally. Our main leads, Elena and Hugh, clearly communicate (YES THEY DO) and work through their problems and like I said before, there are no misunderstandings! Their relationship is slow and steady, because they've been hurt in the past, but they heal and learn to love again. The ML is literally a huge adorable teddy bear made of green flags. He is SO understanding, patient, kind, and emits golden retriever energy. Did I mention he's ripped? On the other hand, we have our independent, hard-working, determined to achieve whatever she has in mind and funny FL. It was so moving to see these two people, afraid of love, falling for each other and making sacrifices and becoming happy. It was also moving to see other characters in this manhwa find their happiness at the end, like the Dowager Duchess Godwin. I like that in this story there wasn't a "villain" like no second lead, and none of the main leads' family took extreme measures to completely ruin their relationship. At the end of the story, everyone truly was in harmony. I'm not saying more cause then it'll all be spoiled, so lastly, I hope you give this hidden gem a try :)

This one is a real gem! A hidden one, seeing the lack of reviews here on MAL and the low rating. But let me tell you, this manhwa DELIVERED. 9.5 out of 10 for real. I was looking for a fun and sweet manhwa with some comedy elements and good romance, and this manhwa had it all. The romance was of course, top-notch, with not just cute fluffy moments but also sprinklings of spice here and there. I loved Jihan and Doyun so much! They were easily lovable characters and they just go together, smoothly, with each other. Their interactions were hilarious and adorable, I
...
loved every panel with them in it. And the side characters and the second couple? No complaints. Annoying misunderstandings? Not in this one, these two know how to communicate! The artstyle? I LOVE IT, it's super cute. So after reading all this, what are you waiting for? Go support the author and enjoy the manhwa :))

Ugh, THIS. THIS IS WHAT I WANT WHEN I SIGN UP FOR ENEMIES TO LOVERS BL. Their rivalry, rivalry-turned-relationship, their growth- all of it was super satisfying. I really felt the feels in this one.
I love both of the characters, they were pretty well defined, and all of their conflicts were realistic and not stretched. This is the kind of thing I want from adult bl. I liked how Torikai's insecurities were dealt with, cause he really deserves way better. The art was CRAZYYY good in some panels but overall 8.5 out of 10. Lastly, don't know why MAL thinks this manga doesn't have
...
a second volume, cause it totally does, and I'll read it later on.

No reviews yet? Are you kidding me? This is one of the best, most hilarious and adorable historical shounen ai manhwa I've ever read. The characters are well-written (I really didn't want to read another manhwa with characters who keep on doing dumb stuff, so YES), the plot is interesting enough for a historical manhwa with 40 chapters AND the comedy. Just gold. I really couldn't stop laughing at certain parts. I couldn't stop going back and staring at certain panels either, because the art was pretty damn good too. The misunderstandings were cleared up pretty soon and smoothly, the relationship was slow and steady
...
and I hope the secretary gets a raise, haha. The puppy was super adorable and hilarious, but beware cause sometimes, it walks on two paws...
Anyway, I can't believe it's so underrated, but I'm glad I found this and read it, so you can go ahead and give this a go too :)

Are you looking for a manhwa with a crybaby ML and strong FL? Or perhaps, a manhwa where a stony prince and a cheerful and perfect girl meet? Well, you won't find anything like that here. It's got potential, and it's one of the most human manhwas I've come across. Human how?
This is the heartbreaking story of a boy who has been blessed by spirits, but where the blessing turns into a curse. He is wronged, framed, forced to bend to the whims of evil people, and is desperately trying to bring justice to his parents, the sole purpose of his wretched life. He
...
leads a life filled with injustice, where all anyone around him can think of is his powers. Shedding tears is what anyone would do when forced to live a life of this manner, but that is the one thing he can't do. He is by far the most interesting and well-written character in the story.
Next, comes the controversial FL. I've seen how people have reacted to her. She's been called stupid, a badly written character, an airhead, etc. But I don't think any of these describe her right. Unlike your usual cunning FLs who take calculated steps, never make a mistake, the ones who are basically goddesses, this girl is the exact opposite. Even in manhwas where they claim the FL is someone to act first and think later, they still end up being pretty much perfect with a side of clumsiness anyway. But this girl, she's imperfect. She's the epitome of act first think later. She makes mistake after mistake, is easily manipulated, sees people's good more than the bad to the point that it becomes annoying, is always willing to give someone a second chance, and all of this is without any ulterior motives, just from the pure goodness of her heart. She is human, in my opinion. Humans make mistakes. We all know that naïve, kind people get easily manipulated, it's nothing new. And because she is so much more human than the rest of the people, she is chosen by the spirits and granted extraordinary powers, as they realise her goodness and that she would never use her powers for evil. Well, at least, that's how I saw it. It's due to her naivety and bad choices that people hated her so easily, and even I was frustrated, but it's understandable. All she ever wanted was to create her own place in the world, by herself, and not be controlled by people, but that's exactly what everyone has done to her all the time. So she kept running, doing things however she wanted, making mistakes. But there is major character development by season 2, so I think it wasn't a total waste of time.
The overall story was interesting and that's what kept me going. The art was also quite decent. I wish there was more romance and the characters were more developed. Not the greatest work ever created, but this was unique and refreshing in its own way and has a lot of potential. I'll come back when it's completed.

How does this not have a review??? Talk about UNDERRATED. This manhwa right here is a GEM, A MASTERPIECE. I never thought I'd find myself reading a shounen ai thriller mystery manhwa AND END UP ABSOLUTELY LOVING IT. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING WHEN I SAY THIS IS TOP-TIER STUFF. The characters, their relationship, the backstory, the art and the plot- everything is perfect. Literally just perfection. The suspense had me on edge the entire time, too. The characters are complex, with their own set of trauma and troubles, but they deal with it maturely (the mafia boss dealt with things in his own unique way,
...
we don't count that) and I have zero complains. At the end of the story, I couldn't properly guess who the culprit was, but it was a super satisfying ending regardless. My only complain about this manhwa is that it doesn't have enough romance in it ಥ_ಥ I WANTED MORE OF THEM UGH. But it was all in all an amazing read. HIGHLY recommend.

LIGHT SPOILERS. Okay, so, I know what you're thinking after reading the description. "Another teacher and student relationship? Ugh, no thanks" BUT TRUST ME, IT IS NOT LIKE THAT AT ALL. The age gap is not weirdly big, and the entire student-teacher relatiobship is portrayed very realistically, and it's navigated properly as well. The student in question, adorable sweet Namwoo, also graduates soon and isn't a student of the darling professor Yihyun when they start dating. So I can assure you, you will feel no ick.
Now let's get into it. THIS MANHWA. Oh gosh. THIS MANHWA IS EVERYTHING. IT HAS EVERYTHING YOU CAN POSSIBLY
...
ASK FOR. A TRUELY MATURE, UNNECESSARY ANNOYING DRAMA-FREE, HEARTWARMING STORY. i know there are many reviews under stories that claim they're drama-free and stuff and it ends up containing some anyway, but this one is truly not like that. Every time something happens, the ML and FL talk it out (YES COMMUNICATION) and deal with things so maturely, it has made my standards rise. The way people react towards the couple, the conflicts, the troubles of Namwoo, everything is realistic and perfectly portrayed.
Now, the characters themselves... Oh, how do I even begin to talk about Seo Yihyun? I have always had a soft spot for cold four-eyed perfectionist nerdy hotties but Yihyun is that and so much more. He isn't an annoying, stuck-up, emotionless, indifferent jerk who thinks he's perfect and everyone is beneath him. He is a critic of others and himself as well. He constantly doubts himself, his decisions. He changes so much after meeting Namwoo, and he says "You have not found a good man, you have made me a good man". He encourages her, consoles her and loves her with such sincerity and care and feeling, he has solidified the title of Best Manhwa Male Lead for me. The way he expresses his love and the way he deals with every problem related to Namwoo... His determination... He is an extremely admirable person.
And Namwoo? The amount of feeling I have for Namwoo, I can't describe it. She has been through so much, and she still smiles. She has been denied so much, and she is still grateful. She still thinks if she deserves the simplest of things. She isn't just a shy, pretty girl. She's brave, and she deals with dumbasses so maturely and firmly. She has dealt with so much pain, so much suffering, all on her own... She truly deserves all the happiness in the world. These two are made for eachother.
Another thing I loved about this manhwa was the way it's written. It is so poetic and written so beautifully, I was left staring at some of the lines for minutes. The messages were so thought-provoking and deep. There were two I really adored in particular. One is the notion of loving someone "in spite of" rather than "because of". We love people "because of" this and that, but to love someone "in spite of" something... It really touched me, and I found myself thinking about it more and more. The other thing were the lines about trees in seasons. Spring makes leaves beautiful, summer gives colourful blossoms, autumn bears them fruit. But the harsh winter? It gives trees rest.

Beautiful. Heart-warming. Near perfection. Mere words aren't enough to express my feelings for this manga. It wonderfully portrays loneliness, in a way that really clutches at your heart. It makes you feel their emotions as if you were them. The art style too, was brilliant. Their expressions, the scenery, the little details... everything was drawn beautifully. I couldn't stop myself from going back and staring at one panel for minutes. Their relationship too, was just amazing. It makes you want for more, and I really wish this manga was longer, while at the same time, it feels like it's best to be kept as it
...
is. This manga was so refreshing, like a fresh breath of air, from the usual mangas of the BL genre... and I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a short, heart-warming, sweet and light read.

In all my years of watching anime, I have never thought of the possibility of stumbling upon an anime movie which is 30 minutes long. What's more startling, is the fact that even a 30-minute movie could be one of the best movies one has ever seen.
The way anyone can easily relate to the protagonist and the way the characters' feelings were portrayed completely drew me in. Their moments together were so short yet so sweet, and the way they disappeared from each others' lives was simply heartbreaking- and felt very real. But even after such a long time apart, they were reunited, and
...
all it took was a tiny little bit of courage. Just that. It is magnificent how a tiny step forward can slowly but surely, take you as far as your heart desires.
And the soundtracks- oh the MUSIC. It isn't hard at all to imagine myself listening to that song and crying. Last but not least, I absolutely adored the animation. The animation was amazing and so were those little illustrations, intricately designed and simply beautiful. All in all, I think it was a wonderful anime movie, and I believe it will be worth your time.

This has to be one of my top three ultimate favourite OVA episodes of all time.
Tonikaku Kawaii is therapy. There is nothing else to say. It has a therapeutic effect on people who watch it. Anyone who feels otherwise might need to go and check with a doc- because this whole anime is filled with nothing but wholesomeness at its finest, sweet sweet young romance and comedy, which is also just the perfect amount. This OVA is even more enjoyable because when watching it, one might feel they are just watching yet another episode of the TV series. I cannot express the joy I felt
...
when I found out that an OVA was out. And I was not in the least disappointed. I won't give any spoilers so y'all better watch this, find out what it's all about and knock yourselves out with jealousy of their sweet romance.
