This story happens after Sotsugyosei and talks about Hara sen, ou favorite gloomy music teacher.
Now we see how Hara sen deals with his heartbreak from the end of the last installment and are introduced to Sorano, a happy-go-lucky first year he happens to meet before the start of the school term in a very "interesting" way.
Ok, this is totally cute. Sorano is such a cute baby and is like heavens justice being paid to Hara sen, poor boy. He's destined to a school-teacher relationship, looks like he can't run away of this fact.
There's some good situations on this manga:
1. The way Hara sen and Sorano
...
met on the bar. And when they meet each other at school. Super sexy at first, super funny later. I was very pleased with this, makes total sense and is very "fated meeting", just a pleasure to read.
2. When Sorano meets Saijou. Saijou really became a very fine specimen of a man, Hara sen got really shook by it and Sorano saw EVERYTHING with a magnifying glass: how much Hara sen liked Saijou and how beautiful Saijou really were. He felt like he couldn't really compete, but decided to meddle in this story, just cause. Apparently he felt like, if he could find a way to resolve Hara sen's fellings for Saijou, he could benefit from it.
3. Hara sen and Saijou's date. Hara sen was SO HANDSOME. Just my type. kkk The date was very normal, it was funny to see Sorano and Kusakabe tailing after them all the time, tho. I think Saijou's blushing to Hara sen's question was the star of the scene, so cute. But, even though I wanted this feelings to find a closure, It was already chapter 3, and I was done with the Dokyuusei couple already. They are cute, but it's not their story?
4. Sorano's past. He lived a very pure one sided love with his middle school friend with a buzz cut form baseball. Cute. I was glad I got to see buzz cuts and a gakuran.
5. Arisaka-sensei. Why he's back? That's some real struggle right there, I even made me change my story score on this review. Unexpected to the core. I can bet I can ask anyone and none of them would say they were expecting this sensei to return to this story. He's already a old man, but still cute. He's even divorced. Life is tough for Sorano, who really became irrelevant with his arrival.
6. Hibiki-kun. The foreshadowing of him asking Sorano which school he was attending was nice. We all kind of knew who he was from that point on. But we were all wrong and that was NICE! I was still wishing this story would focus on Hara sen and Sorano's romance already by that point.
7. Sorano falling in love. He's a little boy with some attitude, isn't he? The whole apartment scene was cute and the dream even cuter!
8. Am I angry that the main couple's relationship got resolved in between other people's relationship issues (and what a issue!)? I am, kinda. But it was cute. Sorano is just like a ray of sunshine. His crying face was too much!
I really hope to see more of them. I luv them. As always the second couple is better than the main one of the series.

This is the sequel of Dokyuusei.
This manga has two parts:
The first part, just like it's predecessor, Sotsugyousei is all about school, but this time they are third years. They have to decide about their future and about themselves.
Except they already decided about themselves on the first part of this series, so nothing new about that. You could say they develop their feelings further instead.
The conflicts are all about that same old "another girl", "not really gay", "third wheel with honest interest". But this time it's better and less childish than Dokyuusei is.
This story does NOT have smut. Although Saijou is indeed REALLY sexy (like all
...
the perfect ukes Nakamura-sensei draws), but it's badly explored. Maybe that's some way to make us all gagging and waiting for more.
Honorable Mentions: the amazingly well written part about Hara sensei. It's the right amount of bittersweet and his young face is just gorgeous! The sensei he fell in love is super plain, but kind of cute when blushing. Does Hara sensei have a glasses fetish? I wonder.
Honorable Mentions 2: Chapter 5 and Kusakabe's friend: Tani. All the lies were so obvious but Saijou's reactions were so cute! If I was Tani I would bully him a little as well, sometimes he's too stoic.
Second part starts at chapter 8 and has a different tone to it. Unlike the first part, which is really lighthearted, this one talks about subjects that are more serious, like medical issues with parents. In which Kusakabe proves himself to be such a good waifu.
Then there's the college exam, also known as "the only real struggle of this series" and it was very good. Really heart warming. It came with the first real hint of smut of this manga. And, since I really had zero hopes for some smut, I was very happy, even though I saw virtually nothing. It was sweet.
P.S.: Hara sensei really can't help himself of lusting, right? He hold on hopes till the very end.
Excellent story, if you like sweet and non conflicting thing. They are really soulmates, the ideal relationship everybody hopes for themselves.
Hope you enjoyed as much as I did.

This one is a continuation of the special booklet extra that came with the movie for Dokyuusei (you can read it at iluvtranslates.tumblr.com)
Ok, if you find my review for Dokyuusei you will notice that I don't really find that story all that good.
BUT, we all LOVE a good BL marrying story, right? This special is a banquet.
In this extra we will find the couple from Dokyuusei, years latter, in diferent places in Japan, looking for a ring for each other. They both want something meaningful for the other party, both looking forward to take the next step in their relationship as it gets closer to
...
it's 20th anniversary (wah?! I guess the TL for the special booklet got it kind of wrong, but I've yet to read the other manga of this serialization).
The motives for the rings and the other party's perspective on the protagonist's relationship are very cute. I got all fuzzy and warm inside.
Enjoy, guys.

It's that classic story about a love that comes naturally. They started to talk by chance and started to develop mutual feelings for each other.
Kusakabe is a band boy, who knows music, and Saijou is a model student, who don't know how to sing.
For a music class and a upcoming performance at school, Kusakabe noticed that Saijou wasn't singing, then, latter, he caught Saijou practicing alone and decided to help. By the moment of the performance they got even more interested in each other and kissed.
Super sweet, super non original, although Nakamura-sensei have a very unique art style, making the story super interesting.
I credit this
...
series success to peoples necessity to read simple and hardship free romances. The classic BL struggle of being male isn't well worked here, they brush it off very lightly. Well, that's very common for School Life yaoi.
Want a light, sweet, visually interesting series? Start with this one.
P.S.: Why every good smut author only get to be famous with the most vanilla series they produce?
