The low score is because it felt incomplete, felt like they did wanted to do season 3, but due to a sudden change their budget got crippled and there was a change of plans and probably had enough budgets for 50 minutes worth of content and they have to slapdash an incomplete movie. Yes I dare say this movie feels incomplete and felt we were still shown in its production stage. The animation isn't the problem but the screenplay is what makes it feel incomplete.

I have never seen anime project like this on how haphazardly they release this to the market. I am no fan ... of heaven's lost property but even I can say this is way worse than the other heaven's lost property content and I would blame the higher ups of this production company for approving such a mess of a movie(more of an ova than a movie tbh). Go read the manga instead as at least more effort was put in that even if I have many complaints for it.

Honestly, this series deserves a 10/10 for my personal standard, as I wasn't big into anime back in 2010-2015 around, I have been giving the popular ones chances and most of the time I only like a few so I just gave up on anime for a while, even recently I think some popular 2020 anime are overrated.

But lately, I've been convinced by certain people to give it another shot and now I have been liking anime, though most are comedy genre but still a victory in my book, just have to find the right one for me.

And now for something completely different:

these words ... are what I think when I watch nichijou, It has this surreal sense of humor and sketch show plus variety show format, that it reminds me a lot of Monty Python sketches, which is a good thing actually.

Difference is Monty Python humor has some hidden social commentary on Britain, while nichijou is surreal for the sake of it. What makes nichijou surreal humor work so well, is kyoto animation doing wonders in giving detailed 2d animation and conveying exaggerated and highly octane ridiculous reaction, plus the orchestrated soundtrack giving a more surreal and overly dramatic flair to the humor.

The directing is phenomenal as I rarely praise directing skills but this series deserves, because not just the animation is great, but the camera angles, the editing, the timing of the transition scenes and the voice directing are wonderful synergised together . There is this sense of coordination with these variable that gives a strong impression for me personally.

Though humor varies from individuals but this is one of the anime that can actually make me a laugh and I wasn't a fan in anime humor, which is why I can't help but praise it as I find anime humor not my preference, but this one uses anime in a creative way, that I feel like the team blew their budget

Kill la Kill is an anime that is considered to be very polarised and judging the content I understand why.

Many people say the female characters are strong and empowering and I personally say that is a load of crap.

The only female character I think that is good is Satsuki and that is it.

After that the rest of the heroine are one dimensional. From having a moe type girl with a very bratty voice that is annoying who lacks a strong motive. The main heroine who is one of the most temperamental character I have ever seen that can make her seen more colder than batman ... himself.

And then there is Mako who could be just as bad or worse than Jar Jar Binks.

The fan service is so gimmicky I understand if they wanted to show it once to show the main heroine won't get embarrassed from her outfit anymore and nudist beach is one of the stupidest idea I seen. To those who's hiding behind the fan service is well made. I have to disagree it's used as gimmick as we see it occur too much times more than enough to understand the message.

For those who want more powerful and amazingly written female characters go read battle angel alita (Gunnm) you won't regret. If you are after strong female characters I can promise, you won't be disappointed. This manga rarely or hasn't rely on fan service at all to demonstrate a woman's strength.

If you want something over the top that focuses on comedy and parody(not satire) then Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise is the better alternative. When this series does fan service at least they are aware of it and the character makes a joke about it as it comments how modern anime relies on it too much.

When you you hear japanese, what do you think about that occurs most commonly, the fact it's harem, the fact it is ecchi and filled with a bundle of fan service.

If you are one of the people who are sick and annoyed by those kind of things and consider it lewd.

Kaguya wants to be confessed is the opposite of that. It is well written and original series on tackling humor using narration, psychological warfares in a quite engaging way but at the same time hilarious

The weakness no real plot progression, as the series is very episodic, for those who hate the cliched and generic japanese, ... give this one a try and see what you think

Remember in the end humour is quite subjective

Note this is a bias review and the high score is aim mostly towards its beautiful potential. But I hope I make an interesting review here goes.

Instant bullet, is a psychological mystery series of where people mysteriously obtained powers. The series I believe is well done on conveying the dark aspect of some of the character's mind. Whether some are bitter or some just have a broken moral compass leading to being sociopaths.

The series is not for those who wants a more uplifting kind of emotion, as some may consider consider too emo or depressing. As the series explains only minorities could feel this kind ... of these emotions. It also try to talk about beyond the concepts of good and evil in an interesting manner

The criticism is the rushed ending due to it being cancelled, plus all the unanswered questions.

Hope the author will revive the series one day as that is one of the author's greatest dream at the moment.

Although it has been cancelled for now, try the first 5 chapters the series is good, if you don't mind the dark tone and lack of uplifting moments

To those who says the anime sucks and to those who say it is good.

I personally think both opinions are valid in my eyes for different reasons. For those who don't read the manga and just gets enjoyment from the main idea and not see nuance then you'll enjoy it. For those who is an astute mind. This anime doesn't do the manga in just if we were to do a comparison. As some of the changes in the anime were minor but made the writing weaker and the pacing felt too rushed.

For one we couldn't know Yashiro full back story that leads readers to ... hate and dislike him even further or how they talk about Kenya backstory on WHY he wants to be a lawer his father's backstory.

You can't love a character really easily if you're going to skip the backstory. It takes more than a character personality to like them. There's character chemistry(or character interaction) and backstory are important. Now for those who say the series is rushed, felt some parts was missing,
Or characters lack backstory read the manga, With any manga you create your own pace which part of the experience

Also airi's backstory on her goals in the future wasn't revealed as well.

The manga had a more solid writing and start reading the original material instead of this adaptation you won't regret it... hopefully

When I see popular thriller series I tend to think they are overrated such as Monster, Pluto(only first half was excellent). They tend to last too long which muddles up the series pacing.

But Boku dake ga inai machi was an example of where each chapter was relevant, had a good amount of content and it understood pacing, as the author made each chapter helpful for the overall story. Rarely do I see a series made each chapter enjoyable there was not one sluggish or bad chapter.

Akumetsu, although was very good thriller it had boring and filler like chapter in the middle part of the story ... as it went to a repetitive cycle, monster has this problem as well.

This manga has robust character development and keeps you at the edge of seat, while it doesn't only rely on the thriller aspect as gives surprisingly heartwarming moments as well, giving the series a not TOO nihilistic feel.

The Boku dake ga inai machi is very similar to hito hitori futari, they both use heartwarming moments in nihilistics obstacles.

Overall Boku dake ga inai machi is a must read manga series

Howl's moving castle, the creator seems to enjoy making his movie have many slice of life elements such as a family atmosphere. While that is nice when it gets too prolonged, it starts to become unnecessary filler and ruins pacing, which I believe you need a good in a film. There was no exciting moments, especially with a film like this we could see more glimpses of the world, rather than focusing too much on the characters.

The movie's storyline didn't seem to have been resolved properly as it conclusion was too rushed and there seems to be deus ex machina. Characters were weak and their ... motives and actions didn't felt well written. Overall a lackluster movie that I felt wasn't all that great.
