This anime had so much potential that was wasted this season. I hope season 3 does a better job in the future.
Tsukimichi finally came back after some time. This show was at the top of being one of the most underrated anime at least for me, specifically. Then season 2 showed some flashes of what could've been, but wasted too much time getting into the side characters rather than focusing on the main ones. I also disliked how the anime diverged from action-packed scenes and instead set up more of a story that didn't seem as purposeful outside of a new dragon.
Compared to season 1,
...
the second season of Tsukimichi didn't express enough emotion. The humor shown throughout season 1 wasn't the same anymore in season 2. The pacing is so SLOW in this season that it makes the whole show seem lifeless. They gave 2 out of the first 3 episodes to some random heroes that no one cared about. Scenes in the show that showed character development, a further explanation of what is happening, and just comedic scenes were cut out which made the anime feel so delayed. Every time it felt like Kuzunoha was going to fight he didn't (Episode 17). I just wished this anime was more fast-paced and showed more action.
The battles in this show were downwashed from the first season. Most of the fights are from side characters and they don't do a well enough job choreographically. I don't understand much between the Makoto against Sofia fight since Makoto just runs circles around her. It was nowhere near their first fight which seemed astonishing at the time. Sofia getting nerfed probably made it seem that way. I just want the fights to make more sense and the power leveling to be better in the future.
Even though there are many things to hate, the show does still do some good things. I enjoyed Makoto's situation where he has a choice to go back or not similar to The Rising of a Shield Hero. It was nice to see Tomoe and Mio again as they provide comedic relief even if it wasn't the same before. The last five episodes were great since they finally focused on fighting for once. The pacing was much better in the second half of the season. The drawing quality was still as good as season 1. It was still an enjoyable watch at the end of the day.

After 7 long years, KonoSuba is still as enjoyable as it was before.
While the third season of KonoSuba had great action there were some shortcomings. I found it a bit disinteresting that the third season focused more on character development than plot development. It felt like this whole season was more of a filler than actually contributing toward the end goal of defeating the Demon King. While I did find the character development episodes to be enjoyable, I also would like to see more action this season. Even with minimal action, the comedy was way better than the last two seasons in my opinion.
The
...
animation although flunky at times does a well enough job as it provides chaos and variety unmatched. I'm not tryna glaze too much, but the attention to detail in some of the action-based moments like whenever Megumin does her explosion spell was eye-catching. However, it isn't anything compared to shows like Demon Slayer or Solo Leveling which is why it was good but not great. The sound for this show was amazing though. The many side effects throughout the show enhanced the comedy on the screen. Opening and endings were fine and just the typical things you see in any isekai, nothing astounding.
I enjoyed Darkness's arc throughout the second half of the season. It was a nice balance between actual drama and comedy which I found exciting. It was great to see how Darkness viewed her party and established better chemistry towards the main characters in Kazuma's party. It was somewhat refreshing in a sense and I loved this part of the show
Overall, the season was very good as the comedy didn't hinder the story progression providing a good balance between humor and drama which was entertaining to see.

This anime is a scam at its finest. This gotta be the most click-baited anime show I've ever seen.
TLDR:
The first episodes of the show were good and it set up a decent storyline where the main character has a distinct characteristic different from everybody else setting up nice fights and action. I believe that the anime lost its edge around episode 3 where the anime started focusing on making a harem than making action. I don't know who the target audience for this anime was, but it surely had barely any good action or adventure. This is a harem without any good plot or action,
...
avoid it at all costs, unless you like this sort of genre.
Story:2
At first, I thought this isekai would stand out from the rest because the guy got reincarnated into a goblin instead of a human which portrayed a unique characteristic similar to Tensura. The main character starts out as a "monster", but does ethical actions unfit for a goblin which allows complexity as he trains more goblins to become more humanlike. It seemed interesting because the main character had a human brain with a monster's body and I liked the route it took.
Then episode 3 comes around and everyone starts to fall in love with him. The main character is still fine during episode 3 because the women are flailing towards him and temptation happens. But after episode 3 this guy becomes a simp and starts thinking only about women to the point where he just took a prisoner and started to rape her and allowed the women to survive, but not the men because he found the women to be beautiful.
Action/Powers:1
That's not the only thing wrong about this show. The action in this show is horrendous along with his powers. The main character has hundreds of powers every single episode which leads to him fighting a new monster and ranking up. It's so hard to remember every power in the show to the point where you don't even know what's going on. There's not much to say except this guy is over-powered and I don't even know what half of his powers are.The fights for this show are forgettable. The only good fights are in the first two episodes because he actually showed some weaknesses and he wasn't ridiculously strong. It offered some good battles, but it just went downhill from there.
Animation: 1
The animation is horrendous and the art style is appalling. I don't know what happened to their budget, but it's close to one of those mobile video games (probably worse). In most of the scenes, the background characters are sketched in and it shows that the animators didn't take that much effort to make this show. It was a money grab for the beginning as the main character had average animation throughout the whole show.
Overall, this anime was so bad, the only thing that made up for it sometimes was the comedy from the old goblin, but other than that it was not enjoyable at all. There was no impact or clear message from the show provided that it was mostly a harem. If you wanna waste your time and have nothing else to do with your life go ahead and watch this pitiful thing.

I watched Blue Lock a couple of months back and I thought it stood alone as a great soccer/football (however you wanna call it) anime. I was wrong, Ao Ashi is a severely underrated anime that adds realism and a better story than Blue Lock. While I still do think Blue Lock is a bit better than Ao Ashi, I believe that Ao Ashi has potential to become a much better anime because of its character development and public views of what soccer is.
Aoi Ashito, the protagonist of the show, is similar to Haikyu's Hinata in the sense that they are always excited for a
...
new challenge and never get disappointed when playing against a player stronger than them. The very likable protagonist develops more maturely as he starts to understand the basics of soccer while having a specific trait that makes him different from the others. What I loved about Ashito was how his struggle with money impacted his rise in soccer in a positive way. His realistic tendencies to force thoughts away and only focus on soccer adds an interesting aspect to the story and how many professional players might do the same. Ashito is a great protagonist who serves as an emotional support for the team and also explains how he isn't always perfect which can cause trouble sometimes.
The side characters in the show are all different in their way. What I like about this anime is that they all carry their own perspective of soccer and while some focus on the basics, others try to make soccer an interesting complicated sport. I enjoy watching each side character go through struggles to improve themselves in their own match while not overshadowing Ashito. The balance between the side characters and main character help the anime remain entertaining and informative about the world of soccer.
What is extremely underrated in Ao Ashi is its underlying concepts and themes. There is some romance involved throughout the show which enables the show to become more diverse. Ao Ashi also provides arguments that athletes are also just humans at the end of the day which have their own issues, relationships, and complexity in their everyday lives. The attention to detail the author has when writing this story is one of the reasons why the show can be so impactful at sometimes too which helped create a better dynamic.
The actual games, while very simplistic, offer an engaging dynamic which make it interesting. Although the art is nothing compared to Blue Lock and isn't as action-packed Ao Ashi still offers a great dynamic. It does this by showing how difficult soccer is through exhaustion, emotion, and psychological breakdown. It also provides how hard-working one has to be in order to just understand the basics of the sport like the drills that Ashito did in the first episode just to learn one very basic move.
The realism and emotion throughout the story make Ao Ashi a must watch to many readers as it grasps human emotions when playing the sport.

You'll either extremely like this anime or be confused af to what's going on. Most of Makoto Shinkai's projects have gained positive reviews and this one doesn't disappoint, but I think this movie makes its animation so good that people forget the entire emotional build-up leading to the climax.
Episode 1 is simple enough. It starts explaining the connection between both the MCs as childhood friends and establishes a connection that leads to a heartwarming reunion between the two where they share a kiss after much struggle. I feel like although episode 1 was only the start it was the best episode out of the
...
three. The emotions built on episode 1 made it feel like the audience could experience what the main character was feeling at the time: Resilience, Frustration, and Relief were all found present. This episode gives heartwarming emotions and was the reason why I didn't drop the movie.
Episode 2 is where things start to get confusing. The entire episode comes from the perspective of a girl who fell in love with the MC in High School and how he could never reciprocate those feelings. The most confusing part of this episode comes from the lack of character development and the existing relationship between both of the main characters of this movie. I know that the director wanted to establish how vague and half-hearted their relationship becomes, but it is never described to the audience enough which makes it very confusing. The animation and the scenery in this episode make the whole movie look so beautiful even if the plot isn't
Episode 3 tries to establish this connection, but fails to do so as their relationship becomes more vague. The main characters realize that they still love each other after all these years, but know that they can never be together. It does give some affection towards the main character and how he can't let go of his feelings for her which is tragic. This made the movie heartbreaking towards the end and what made it so enjoyable. While the girl moves on in this story, the boy doesn't applying emotion into Shinkai's project.
Because of it's beautiful animation and somewhat confusing plot, it's a hit or a miss depending on who you are. If you like romance or shows that end sad, but beautiful you'll like this movie a lot.

Naruto Shippuden my favorite anime before you start hating on me.
If you want to finish one piece and ignore the horrible pacing, I advise you to read the manga for the story and watch the anime for the battles. The manga is perhaps the reason the show is so popular and is 3 times faster to finish than the actual show. My friend did this and he got caught up in the show in about a month.
One Piece is one of the most creative shows in all of history, if not the most. This anime is UNFATHOMABLE when it comes to uniqueness. Oda does such
...
a good job at portraying a variety of characters through backstories like Nico Robin's and Trafalgar D Water Law's. The creativity doesn't stop at just characters, but the humor in One Piece is so funny, especially Pre-Time Skip. It shows how much work Oda has put into making sure One Piece can exhibit all the traits that make it one of the best animanga series. Yet, this isn't even the most fascinating thing about the show. The Worldbuilding in One Piece is the BEST in all of fiction, decimating media like ATLA, LOR, and Harry Potter. Oda's utilization of Islands as checkpoints allows for the world to constantly expand leading to more new stories and settings which never get tiring. One Piece's creativity stands out as the best in all of animanga.
I enjoy One Piece greatly and it won Best Continuing Series for a reason, but it doesn't come without its flaws. The major issue of One Piece comes from its pacing and repetitiveness at times throughout the show. The most notable arcs that have these flaws are Syrup Village, Fishman Island, and the first half of Wano. I realized that throughout the show the artists were purposefully prolonging the show to let Oda write more, especially during Wano and Egghead. This differs from usual shows like Bleach or Naruto which use fillers to allow Kubo and Kishimoto respectfully to have time to write their arcs.
The second major flaw stemming from One Piece is the lack of character development or rather the receding character development. While I do enjoy One Piece's comedy, sometimes the comedy becomes so overwhelming that it hurts a character's personality. Prime examples of this are Sanji and Usopp who are multifaceted at the beginning of the show to Sanji being shown as a total perv instead of showing respect to ladies like when he wanted the Clear-Clear Fruit for obscene purposes or Usopp always being portrayed as weak and even when he shows some hint of bravery, it never clearly explains how he has progressed from his past.
While I do know there have been times where I questioned to drop the show like during Dressrosa, Fishman Island, and Wano, I still enjoy One Piece so greatly that I can't give anything less than a 9. Try not to focus on where you are at in the show too much because most people when they catch up wish that there were more content.
Also, the anime is in it's final saga, so most of the show is heading to the final stage. This is perhaps the best time to start getting caught up on One Piece. It's a must watch!

I had some expectations for this anime, but it exceeded them immediately. This anime made me laugh so hard and I enjoyed it so much. I never expected the art for this anime to be so good and kudos to the directors for the zombie chasing scenes. Zom 100 is great at what it does because it provides great comedy, but also maintains drama and the seriousness of death during a zombie apocalypse. Usually, I find the whole notion of zombie apocalypse cliche, but this anime has changed my perspective drastically. This is a great show that emphasizes the role of allowing yourself to escape

and set yourself free from issues in the past.

"If I don't kill, I will be killed. I can't run away anymore" – Sung Jinwoo
Solo Leveling is an exceptional piece with high-scaling battles, great main character, and high attention to detail. Although flaws exist in this 12-episode animation of the manhua, the adaptation itself copies the manhua exactly with added background scenes to add more detail to the story. While at first the anime focused on the story in its first two episodes (not bad episodes, but not good either), the animators have done a great job at balancing the story with fight scenes peaking viewers' interest and curiosity.
(SPOILERS AHEAD)
Summary:
There are two main worlds
...
in Solo Leveling: Earth and The Dungeons where monsters come from. In order to fight against these monsters, the government sends hunters who have an assigned ranking (which can't be changed) from E to S Rank. These hunters then get compensated based on their guild or what reward is inside these dungeons. E-Rank Hunter Sung Jinwoo applies to be a hunter to pay off his mother's healthcare as she was in a devastating incident leaving her bedridden. Known as the "Weakest Hunter" in the world he gets ridiculed by other hunters and has to fight extremely to survive even in the weakest of dungeons. Eventually, death arrives at Sung Jinwoo's doorstep, however, when he is about to die, a peculiar "system" pops up asking him if he wants to live. Sung Jinwoo accepts the system and the system provides him with tasks to do in order to increase his power and rank (only an ability Sung Jinwoo can do and no other person can). The story is setted on Sung Jinwoo's path of leveling up and facing enemies both humans and monsters to find a something to heal his mother.
I look at three components when reviewing an anime:
1. Plot
- Main Character Progression
– Supporting Characters
- Pacing
2. Fights
– Villains
– Animation
– Powerscaling/Worldbuliding
3. Misc
– Music
- Opening/Ending
1. Plot:
Main Character Progression:
Sung Jinwoo is one of my favorite anime main characters because of this show. He starts off wimpy, but has a strong desire to survive which is respectable. In his first two episodes he shows that even though he is ridiculed he can remain calm and stoic. During the events of the double dungeon right after the statue god starts murdering people, Jinwoo depicts his adaptability and iq to the group allowing them to survive by using him as the sacrificial pawn. He glows up after completing the system tasks and gains a whole new sense of perspective. Jinwoo learns more about the game and adds skills which I think is probably the most important progression for him and his role and character change with his appearance as well. This can be seen where he faces his first red name enemy and initiates the attack instead of defending like he did against the wolves. His perseverance and grit are the emotions that seem monumental to me and is why I like him so much. Overall Jin Woo's character is a masterpiece.
Supporting Characters:
Solo Levelling lacks in supporting characters. Jinho is the only major supporting character shown throughout multiple episodes as he acts like a beneficiary to Jinwoo. Jinho is okay and is somewhat written well like his problems within his family and his expectations he has to meet. However, he doesn't contribute much to the story in a way that's monumental of impact-changing. No other characters really matter at least in these 12 episodes as it is mostly focused on Jinwoo.
Pacing:
The overall dynamic of the plot has plenty of ups and downs. I do like it's pacing a lot though. I love how the battles for Jinwoo don't strand over multiple episodes, but each battle has its own episode and there's also a story interchanging with every fight scene. However sometimes the sequence gets repetitive, this is seen when Jinwoo loses his teleportation stone and has to deal with the consequences during his fight after Igris and with the first boss of the solo dungeon. However, even with the cliche involved with the placing it's still peak.
Score: 8
2. Fights:
Villains:
The monsters in this show deserve their own award. While they don't talk or have any quotes they look terrifying ash and actually look scary. There's not much to say about them, but those monsters look tough like Cerberus. I thought Jinwoo was gone after that to be honest.
Animation:
A1 deserves high remarks for their adaptation of the manhua. This might make it anime of the year (yes ik anime like rezero, mushoku tensei, bleach, and slime are coming out too). The animation is sick, Jinwoo's shadow when he kills the guys in the dungeon or when Igris was fighting Jinwoo both have to be seen. Also it's not just for these fight scenes, but every fight scene where Jinwoo has to fight a boss or even the minions like the wolves in the beginning are animated to perfection. The fight scenes are great, sound effects good, and the struggle shown by Jinwoo seems to be real.
Powerscaling:
The only real powerscaling were the nametags of the villains (green, yellow, or red[most dangerous]). Jinwoo's skills though are kind of similar to That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime as he obtains a bunch of skills, but utilizes them in distinct ways. The stealth skill is the one I like the most cause he looks badass and I give props to the author to make it seem like it is an actual videogame.
Score: 10
3. Adaptation:
Music/Misc:
I love the music in Solo Leveling. The one's that hit the hardest are the Dark Aria OST (gave me chills down the spine) and the opening music (japanese guy rapping in english). I love how they incorporate the music to the fight scenes to add more emotion. Other than that, the voice acting for solo leveling was alright. Jinwoo's voice actor gives proper emotion, but I didn't like some characters like the B-Rank Healer who sounded kind of petty (I probably just didn't like her lol). There wasn't anything wrong about it and it just made it a more enjoyable watch.
Opening/Ending
The opening for Solo Leveling is mid af. It starts off like any plain isekai show where they fight monsters, but in this case they fight ants (probably some foreshadowing). The ending although it didn't meet the hype it was still great. Jinwoo's arise to Igris looked cool ash and I give props to the animators for their animation of Igris's aura.
Score: 9
Don't mind the critics of Solo Leveling when you watch this show. While there are some problems with the plot, you'll definitely enjoy the show because of it's fight scenes and animation. This definitely lives up to the hype and has a potential spot of winning AOTY especially with Cour 2 coming out this year as well.
PS: This is my first written review, so cut me some slack.
