Really? I have never ever played Golf in my life, I once played minigolf but I know they are completely different. How did you start playing it? I have seen golf courses, they seem pretty big and surrounded mostly by trees, so I can see why it feels relaxing for you.
I mostly go out to walk and play Pokemon Go hahaha; last year I lost quite a lot of weight by playing without even noticing it. It's been pretty hot and sunny lately since it is summer, so I tend to go late in the afternoon. I also bought a copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons and I am learning how to play it. I don´t know why, but I feel I am doing it wrong hahaha.
I am glad to hear you are out of exams, I know how stressful they can be. Nothing beats the feeling of no more tests, although it is hard to get rid of the internal clock after waking up every day with the same alarm hahaha. I tried to watch Jojo's last year, but I hated everyone in the first episode so much that I couldn´t continue it; I know it will be an amazing ride, but I am not ready to go back.
I've been enjoying the seasonals I am watching, as well as some older anime series; I am currently watching Akiba Maid War, and it is absolute gold. I think after finishing it I will go into a long and older anime that always caught my attention: Get Backers. Aside from that, I am planning to read more of the books in my collection. I wanted to go back to Shadowhunters, but I decided to give another book a chance; it's called Street Art by Giselle Toloza Espinoza, and after reading chapter 1 I got hooked. It's weird because it seems cliche, but it is the BL version of normal teen romance books.
Iruma-kun is the story of a 14-year-old boy, Iruma, who after a life of being exploited by his parents was bought by a high-class demon who brought him to hell and gave him a nice life as his adopted grandchild. It's mostly comedy, but there are some serious arcs, battles, and wholesome moments. It is clear there is a big and darker plot developing slowly, so let's see where that leads. I honestly love every character, especially Iruma, his adoptive family, his close friends, and his class. It is weird how easily you can hate the villains, yet you want to see more of them. The anime art is not the best, but you get used to it.
I would say that the biggest resemblance between the Girls Band Cry and MyGO is that the two are filled with drama, but somehow the former is a bit more developed and interesting than the latter. I swear it is way too easy to dislike most of the MyGO main characters. GBC is more serious, and the journey feels more real with them.
I swear I remembered everyone in Ao No Exorcist after years of not watching the anime, but there is a character who wears an eye patch who I cannot remember at all, and it seems he will become important later on. He hasn´t appeared in any seasons after season 1.
I've been thinking a bit, and I feel one of the things that made Edgerunners successful wasn´t the fact it was based on a game, but rather that it was original content in the same city where the game takes place. Like, the characters lived in a horrible environment where rich people had all the opportunities, while the rest needed to survive day by day. The game had its characters, the anime had its characters, and that worked amazingly.
Exactly! Some people prefer to think that the adaptation of their favorite games didn't exist because of how bad it was. I think this is the second time I've seen a game-to-anime succeed, the first one being Higurashi. With Higurashi, I feel it was because the studio gave the light novel quite some episodes to develop. But, as you say, when the right team is behind the anime you can see it; you can see the effort, the love, and the compromise to the project.
I think it was confirmed that Cashmere was exploited just like Finnick, I read somewhere that apparently Johanna was also confirmed to be exploited despite Snow killing her family. The books and the movie confirmed Cashmere was very popular, so I feel she knew quite some Capitol secrets, as well as possibly having quite a big fanbase defending her. Maybe she also wanted power or blackmailed someone important.
It was stated she was more than willing to see the Capitol citizens suffering after years of them torturing the Districts, so I feel Enobaria's teeth were in her way an act of defiance. I would like to see her story now that we are talking about her.
I got the idea years after first reading the books, and I went to Reddit and everyone agreed the game was rigged; the contestants selected were way too convenient. I could believe Finnick and Annie, but Cashmere and Gloss, being from one of the Districts with more Victors, doesn´t seem logical. A lot of people think Wiress may have won in a way similar to Beetee, by electrocuting other tributes, but they also think she suffered some backlash for it and ended up with some brain damage; which I don´t think is fair, she was old and was traumatized during the Quarter Quell. Honestly, her death, alongside Mags, pisses me off to this day.
I think I read No Longer Human back in 2023, but I still feel it was yesterday; the fact that Yozo needed to almost have a script ready for every day of his childhood not to be judged was depressing. He didn´t have a single second of tranquility, I bet he also had nightmares where his facade was exposed. No child should go through that.
Osamu Dazai had a very troublesome life, and honestly, I would honestly believe No Longer Human could have been his autobiography. Depression, anxiety, and mental health issues can affect us in different ways and lead us to the same place, who knows what else happened to him while growing up?
That's the perfect word to describe No Longer Human, alienation; Yozo did feel like if he removed the mask he was going to be alienated from everyone, the perfect scene that describes that was when he immediately felt targeted out of nowhere his father asked what he wanted for a present. There is nothing worse than feeling like an obserbant in your own life, and it is weird to think that Yozo is one considering he always had attention from his peers and from the opposite gender; I guess the chapter of life when he attended the communist meetings explains how lonely he was.
No offense and not like criticizing or anything, but your analysis made me remember Bojack Horseman, in the sense that Bojack and Yozo both felt lonely in life and sought companions while being in constant turmoil caused by mental health issues that made them addicted to alcohol and other drugs to keep the demons appease.
Believe me, I completely know how archaic Pride and Prejudice vocabulary can be; don't get me wrong, but sometimes I feel outdated language can be the reason that keeps readers from amazing books. For instance, I had to read Don Quijote in high school and I didn´t understand a thing, to survive the test I read a summary and I love the story more than you can imagine, Don Quijote and Sancho Panza were a great duo, or at least that is what I remember hahaha.
I bought some copies of the Spanish version of Percy Jackson, but I am now regretting it since I heard the English version is better, and that was the reason why I decided to research before going into big franchises.
So, I am going into the works of the Essay's parents, this will be interesting hahaha. It will take me a while to reach them since I have an order on the way I read the books I have bought, so wait a bit, please.
And I love your description as well; each panel depicts such a great story that I could see people getting inspired by it. It is one of those works you need to pay close attention to, I just saw pictures on the internet, who knows how the real ones look.
Indeed, if I am not wrong, David vs Goliath is one of the most known biblical stories; yet, when I think about it, I only know the main gist of the story: The hero defeating the tyrant. I am a bit ashamed to say how little I know about it hahaha.
I've been balancing the idea of reading philosophy for a while; like, I am not the biggest fan of it, I am not going to lie and say I know most about the topic when I barely understood a thing in high school. Yet, I am sure I will learn quite a lot, and maybe I will understand when philosophy and philosophy are mentioned in books, games, or anime.
I think I will understand Bacon a bit more since I like stories that are more structured, but something about Montaigne sounds highly appealing.
Precisely, everything in And Then There Were None was brilliant, but what calls my attention the most is that more hardcore Agatha Christie's fans say that was her weakest work, which makes me want to read more of her. It was crazy how the mastermind faked his death and the others became more deranged; to be honest, in a very twisted way that I cannot explain, I felt a bit bad for Vera. Nevertheless, Lombard and her were definitely the worst ones.
Exactly! When you know a book will be amazing, you want also a beautiful edition, not just the first one that appeared. Like you said, it adds an extra something.
I once sold a DS game in my collection, and I regret it to this day; I am hunting for that as well and I am ready to pay the price. I finished Phantom Hourglass years ago, but I am sure I didn´t get 100%, I will get it for sure one day. Finding a Spirit Tracks game will be hard, but I will give it a chance to find it; thanks for the encouraging words hahaha.
Every new episode of A Terrified Teacher At Ghoul School feels like a knife to the heart; Satelight completely ruined that adaptation. So much info was omitted, and stories that could have been adapted into two episodes were butchered into one. If you ever have time, I really recommend the manga.
Nintendo:
I haven´t played Age of Calamity, but after watching the cutscenes of that game I realized how the Champions didn´t have a chance of winning at all; Urbosa was the only one capable of matching her Blight at some points, Revali gave a fight, but Daruk and Mipha were doomed from the beginning. Breath of the Wild is indeed a masterpiece; the Champions delivering their final hit to Ganon was peak, and the music used in that scene was beautiful.
I have heard Majora's Mask was an experimental game that became a fan favorite; I am hunting for a 3DS copy, but it has been hard. I found one on Marketplace some months ago, but it was a bit sketchy, so I decided to let that one go. I am currently playing Animal Crossing New Horizons, and while it is not my type of game, I am enjoying it a lot; I don´t know why I am so hooked on it. And yes, getting tricked into debt is crazy hahaha.
A game that trapped me for a while was Omori; it remind me a lot of Earthbound, but way darker and depressing. I finished the good ending a year ago, but I am not ready to play it yet. In a way, I need to feel Sunny did have some sort of happy ending after the credits roll.
Don´t apologize, I also tend to get caught up in the excitement of the moment and end up writing a huge paragraph before ending the first sentence hahaha. So, I apologize if my messages tend to be so long.
Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction sounds even more amazing after reading your message; like, people are more at risk of their own mental health than the aliens invasion. It sounds very psychological.
Don´t worry about spoilers, if you want to add them I will gladly read them; I don´t mind spoilers or getting spoiled, that doesn´t ruin the experience for me. If you don´t like them please tell me, I have spoiled others unintentionally in the past.
Absurdity is the best way to describe that scene hahaha; they were so happy and looked so wholesome while Marcille was fighting for her life next to them hahaha.
I completely agree, I love that each member of Laios' team adds their own bit. I am so eager for season 2, I miss that group so much.
I love the second opening a lot, but it gets me really curious about the manga because a lot of manga readers claimed the opening spoiled the rest of the anime. There are some lyrics I saw that resembled the plot, but without context, I am not sure.
That face he made while fighting with the chicken is priceless; the first episode was fantastic. I wish there was a bit more of an introduction though, since I first thought I missed maybe an episode 0 or something for how fast everything was.
It's getting darker and darker with each new episode; like, episode 4 was wild, and there was a screaming moment that felt way too real. In episode 6 things looked to be improving, but backfired awfully badly. I really don´t know how things will end, but I am so eager for what is coming.
Same to you! It has been more than enthralling to share ideas with you, you make so many good points, and it seems you are pretty knowledgeable in several areas C:
Thanks a lot, February has been busy and hectic, but not bad so far hahaha; thanks as well for your kind wishes. I hope you are having a nice week :)

He's as curious as you are and I'm sure this conversation will answer a lot of your questions.
I'm not the type of person that lets movies or songs impact me. Do I like them? Yes. Do I let them change my worldview? No.
Ah, I suppose these characters are an exaggerated version of myself

Do you like party songs, slow songs or traditional/cultural ones?

I have no idea how much Bollywood's influences shapes people's perceptions of a country because you can like certain aspects of a particular culture or country while still being pretty ignorant or racist about its people.
Maaf baru reply, baru buka MAL
Uh, what kind of fun stuff? Outdoor or indoor?
This past month I watched some anime that caught my attention such as Girls Band Cry, MyGO, and I am currently finishing the third season of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun, which was amazing; in a way it resembled Gintama, but more shonen-er. I swear it is criminally underrated.
Yes, it has been quite a ride; I forgot how much I disliked most of the characters aside from Rin and Shura, but after catching up I came to like almost everyone, except for Yukio. I am eager to see what will happen next; the manga is monthly and I think the anime is catching up again with the manga, so maybe there will be hope for another season in the future. Still, one of the most annoying things about catching up with an anime after years is that you tend to forget some of the characters that appeared before.
Absolutely, I will never understand how a story based on a game that most people loathed for how glitched it was ended up becoming such an amazing anime. I know there is a prequel manga based on Rebecca, and I think I read that while there aren´t any plans for Edgerunners, there are some ideas for other stories in the same universe. Also, it's interesting to see how an anime based on a game became so popular, almost every anime adapted from a game, light novel, or visual novel tends to receive several low scores.
Yes, that ending still hits close to home; especially with the theories that Lucy killed herself on the moon, and that she was developing cybersychosis. While I loved that tragic ending, the fanart of Rebecca being saved by Falco, Lucy, and David being happily on the moon, felt so right in some way. I guess is true there are no happy endings for people like them as said by lots of 2077 players.
I know! It's great to meet another person to talk about this with. Haymitch said in the books, and I think in the movies as well, that Katniss was one of many troublesome Victors that included Finnick, Johanna, and Cashmere. I completely believe in the theory that the third quarter quell was rigged to get rid of all of them, and that would explain why the siblings Cashmere and Gloss, and the couple of Annie and Finnick, were selected so Katniss would be alone on the game with everyone else having someone to protect.
I am interested in Cashmere because she wasn´t part of the rebellion, yet she was stated to be troublesome. My theory is that she was also prostituted by Snow, she has lots of admirers who were more loyal to her than the Capitol and has too much information. Wiress would also be interesting to see in a book, as well as her games and how she won, there has been a lot of speculation. Johanna was said to play under the radar during her games and mercilessly killed everyone else, and is clear that Enobaria hated the Capitol, and there is a theory she sharpened her theets to not fall victim to Snow's crimes. I hope there are more books not centered on District 12.
There is a lot more lore that Suzanne Collins can work with.
No Longer Human is definitely one of my favorite books, but I would never read it again; it was so dark and filled with anxiety. I remember feeling so bad about the MC since he suffered from anxiety from an early age and felt that if he wasn´t a clown he would lose his place in the family, he overanalyzed everything to the extreme including facial features. And what is crazier, is that in almost every chapter there was a darker revelation that made me forget all the rest of his problems. I wonder how much of that was real in the life of Osamu Dazai, but I hope some of the parts were fictional.
I agree with you completely, the fact he always had to wear a mask to the point of not knowing who he was, becoming an addict who reconnected in his final days with his family, was depressing.
I feel we have all been Yozo at some point; not knowing how to relate to others, hanging up with the wrong crowd, and making horrible decisions that could have ended way worse. After reading the book I ended up thinking he had depression and anxiety, but I wonder if he was borderline as well since he clearly hated himself. I want to believe that after going back to his family home he was able to find some solace, and maybe reconnect with his siblings.
I don´t want to sound emo, but the topics of loneliness and anxiety hit hard for me; I am introverted and going out and drinking, to be honest, hahaha, but I feel that if I had studied in a place away from home, not knowing anyone at all, and having to return to a place were I would be alone the whole day, I would have ended up taking some very bad decisions. Maybe not joining the communist party, but very close hahaha. I also have anxiety and tend to think a lot when people talk time at times, thinking am I being boring and more.
What about you? Which part did feel identified with in No Longer Human?
I know, older English can be so hard to understand; I struggled a lot back in college when reading Pride and Prejudice in English. I remember all the pages with vocabulary in my notebook filled with archaic vocabulary. I honestly look up if there is a big change in meaning during the translation, and based on that I choose which version to buy.
Thanks, I will look up Francis Bacon and Montaigne; I don´t know much about real essays as I said, so I am interested in learning what they are about.
I just saw The Gates of Paradise by Ghiberti and they are surely uncanny; his style at simple view seems very simple, no offense, but once you stare at them you see how detailed they are. There is a big history behind The Gates, and it feels kind of a fantasy somehow. Is David the same as David and Goliath? Is it like a collection of them? I googled the name and a lot of images appeared, all striking in different ways.
So far I only have And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, which is one of my favorite books and a precursor of the death//survival game genre. I know Dostoyevsky's books as well as A Tale of Two Cities will be amazing books, but I want to find copies with nice covers hahaha; I know it doesn´t sound nice and we shouldn´t judge a book by its cover, but when you know how good they will be, but all the covers I have seen aren't that nice.
I love Nintendo; I love their games, I grew up with them, and now that I am an adult I am collecting the games I couldn´t have as a kid. I currently collecting Pokemon and Zelda games. I still have a copy of Phantom Hourglass, I didn´t know it had a sequel until some years ago and I am hunting for Spirit Track at a reasonable price. I have never played Animal Crossing, though I know it is a big franchise with games on the DS and the 3DS, but I am thinking of buying the Switch version. I agree, several Nintendo games deserve their place in gaming history.
In terms of books, one that I still keep in my mind is And Then There Were None; the constant mystery, the unexpected deaths, and the realization they were killed in order from more "innocent" to more "heinous" criminal was amazing; I still have some reservations regarding a certain aspect, but overall a great book.
In terms of manga, A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School; it is an amazing, funny, and wholesome experience that either keeps you laughing or feeling soft over several characters. I loathe what Satelight did to the anime.
In terms of games, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. That game was an absolute masterpiece from beginning to end. The fights were great, the artwork impressive, the open world commending, and the history of the Champions heartbreaking. The final battle was my favorite.
What about you?
Oh, you weren´t talking about Demon´s Destruction? I am a bit confused right now hahaha. Exactly, there are times you know when an anime is going to air, but with Demon´s Destruction, I swear there wasn´t even a release date for a lot of time, and suddenly it was almost complete. I am not going to lie, it pisses me off; it is a ridiculous thing to say, but it pisses me off. It should have had more publicity.
The battle against the dragon shocked me, and Falin appearing as that harpy/dragon caught me so off guard. The drama in that show happened so out of nowhere that it was amazing. On the contrary, I swear I love the comedy the most, like when the boys were hugging so wholesomely while Marcile was dying next to them, or when Chilchuk screamed like a girl, or Laios barking at the shapeshifting monster hahaha. I swear I love Dungeon Meshi.
You know, I have some mixed feelings regarding Kabru; like, I lowkey can understand what the author was doing with him, but for a character who was getting killed episode after episode he thought way too highly of himself. Shuro is also another character I dislike, but I feel it is because I am Laios stan; I love my neurodivergent king and I will defend him even from the characters in his anime hahaha. He is truly a special character, and I love his party more than I can explain; Marcille, Chilchuck, Senshi, and Izutsumi were all unique in their way.
Ave Mujica is like turning between psychological to horror; episode 4 was a combination of both. I swear I don´t know how things will turn, but I hate the interruption of characters who want to make things better hahaha; I need to see what happens to the girls for them to end like in the opening. I will be happy if there is a second season.
Thanks a lot, things have been good for now. I hope you are having a good start to the year and that you have a great February.
Well, I'm a lazy person and I don't travel unless I absolutely have to, so you're talking to the wrong person here ;p
I'm glad you liked the recipe and dance video so much. If you want me to share more content, I'm always more than willing, esp when it comes to Bollywood ;p
I agree about the bit about art, but that is not something I usually ponder over. I'm more of a practical person, which means I don't normally lean towards the creative field, and I definitely don't think about what it could mean.
You're definitely chatting with the wrong type of person here ;p
I'm doing alright by the way, hope you're doing great.
Ah, there is something called a parantha roll/kebab parantha that I bet you've never heard of.

I get asking about dishes and recipes, but why restaurants or places where you can witness arts being performed?
Been watching since September 2016... I will probably finish before I die.
Sick taste btw. The affinity bar is through the roof XD
