Even as a huge SAO fan, this movie was a big disappointment.
STORY: 5/10
This movie skips over floors 2,3,4 and starts at the beginning of floor 5. In my opinion, the story was very mediocre, uninteresting, and unfocused. The movie was trying to cram way too much stuff in 90 minutes of runtime. First off it's trying to establish Kirito and Asuna's romantic relationship. For the most part it's doing an ok job at this, but I personally didn't like how their relationship developed in this movie. Then it's also trying to introduce us to Argo (information broker), which it does poorly since they don't
...
really do much with her. She's integral to the plot, but overall she's more of a plot device than a character. Movie is also trying to establish the guilds (ALS and DKB) and their conflict, opposite ideologies. I wish this plot line would've been explored more since I think having this kind of debate between 2 different ways of going through the game would've made for an interesting conflict, in which even the fans could participate in. Unfortunately, this is just a background thing going on and the whole idea is thrown out of the window after the first 20-30 minutes. other than ALS and DKB, movie is also trying to introduce Laughing Coffin (aka PK guild), while the name "laughing coffin" isn't necessarily mentioned, it's fairly obvious that writers were trying to make this movie an origin of how the guild was made in the first place (since this wasn't explored in the original anime). As for the last plotline, movie is trying to re-establish the relationship between Mito and Asuna. This whole storyline was unnecessary imo. Mito's character arc was done in the first movie and there was no reason to bring her back UNLESS you would do an entire movie focused just on her (which obviously they didn't do). Overall there are some good ideas, but the problem is that the writers seemed to have wanted every idea they had in this movie. If the movie itself was focused on any of the specific ideas exclusively, it would've been 10 times better. The fact that movie is only 90 minutes doesn't help either. All the events are rushed, there is no suspension or build-up. Things just happen.
CHARACTERS: 6/10
There isn't much I can say about this. There wasn't any particular character development and there wasn't any specific character that stood out from the rest, except for maybe Agro, but again it could've been much better. Movie suffers from the time-skip they had to do, and due to that it feels like they were scared to develop any of their characters further since they have no idea what they're gonna do with movies/floors 2,3,4. Seeing Kirito and Asuna's relationship develop was nice, but again it seems like the writers were scared to take it one step further.
ART/ANIMATION: 7/10
The animation was just good, it seems like a big downgrade from the first movie but it's not necessarily bad. Apparently, studio had a lot of covid cases while animating this movie so I don't want to be too harsh.
SOUND: 9/10
As is the case with SAO since Alicization, SFX and music were impeccable. The theater experience only made it better.
OVERALL: 5/10
Movie is very mid and boring. Even as an SAO fan, I didn't enjoy it much and it felt like this whole movie was one big filler. Overall it was pretty unfocused, uninspired and most of all boring. There might be some people out there that will like it, but I personally didn' and I don't recommend it.

*SPOILER FREE REVIEW*
I recently rewatched this movie so I thought it would be nice to write a review about it, first, I rewatched it because first time I didn't really pay attention so I decided to watch it again and I'm glad I did, because this movie was awesome to watch even after knowing basically everything, so, let's get to scores!
Story - 8/10
As this is first movie in the
...
trilogy there wasn't really much story, it was more about introducing the characters, unlike in Fate 2006 or UBW we came to a turning point in this movie pretty quickly (Day 3 - Shirou summons Saber), which is pretty reasonable, considering we already saw that "Prologue" in UBW anime and it would be pointless to see it again, rather it was shown through epic slideshow which looked pretty good. From that point on (Meeting with Kotomine in church) story was just getting darker and darker, which I most definitely liked as first 2 routes had dark undertones but were never really dark as this one.
Art - 10/10
Art is undoubtedly 10/10, anythig else would be just wrong, Ufotable did amazing job in animation (as always) and fights were just amazing, the best one (in my opinion) was Lancer vs Assassin, it was simply beautiful and definitely one of my favorites from entire Fate Series.
Sound - 10/10
Voice acting was on point and emotional, as I was expecting. I also noticed that that sounds effects were improved, compared to UBW adaptation. One example would definitely be Saber vs Berserker fight, which had amazing sound effects, Of course, other fights also had great sound effects but this one is exceptional as it's only fight in movie where 2 servants cross swords. Regarding soundtrack, it was perfect, Fate always had an amazing soundtrack, and this movie was most definitely not expeption.
Character - 9/10
As I previously said, this movie was about introducing characters, we already got a fair share of Emiya and Tohsaka in the previous route so in this movie, Sakura was the one with the most screen-time (after Emiya of course) and I really liked it, considering she got almost no screentime before. The other thing I also liked is that it focused on servants, in UBW Shirou and Rin were there with 80% of screentime, while servants got 20%. Here we had fights like Lancer vs Assassin or Caster vs Assassin where Shirou wasn't even there, and I thought it was nice change of pace, since this was ONLY first movie there wasn't much character development but again, we got deeper into Emiya's ideology of how to become Hero of Justice and we started finding out more about Sakura and her life.
Enjoyment - 9/10
I really, REALLY, enjoyed this movie. It was interesting and MUCH different than the first 2 routes (in terms od depth and darkness), Definitely can't wait to watch it again!
Overall - 9/10
Overall this movie was 9/10, initially on my first watch I gave it 8/10, but after this rewatch it definitely deserved this score, I definitely recommend this TRILOGY to anyone who is into Fate, as it's definitely the best route in terms of character development, has best fights, story is amazing and it's unique even to Fate Series. That was it about this review, I hope you'll enjoy this movie as much as I did!

*MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD*
I was getting into this anime with high expectations. And then I almost dropped it after episode 4 seeing it has no romance elements at all, which is why I started watching it in the first place, thank god my friend told me to continue because I wouldn't get to experience this masterpiece if he didn't, so let's hop on the review then:
(Also note that I'm reviewing WHOLE anime, not just season 3)
Story: 8/10
As I said in my Violet Evergarden review, this anime's main aspect isn't story, but this is probably the case for the most SoL animes, even so Oregairu's story is
...
interesting and intriguing, which always kept me on the edge of my seat, especially cliffhangers on end of each episode.
Art: 10/10
Art in this anime is absolutely beautiful, first season's animation was decent, but with change of studio in s2 it became MUCH better, aesthetics were beautiful, and than scene with Yukino, Yui and Hachiman in opening of season 2 was just amazing, and this might be just me but Oregairu has one of the best facial expression animations in all of anime.
Sound: 9/10
Just like the art, sound in Oregairu is great, OST is great and also one of the best I heard. Voice actors are on point and all 3 openings are AMAZING.
Characters: 10/10
In Oregairu characters are probably best aspect of the story, each of the main cast gets character development with Hachiman's develpment being the best(as it's expected of the main character), but Yukino and Yui also get pretty decent development, I believe Yukino has better development than Yui, but Yui is better written character than her imo, especially because of the fact she had to play mature character and hat to sacrifice her love to Hachiman so Yukino could be together with him, and at the end she did got her wish granted, which was that all of them to be together.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I enjoyed every second and this anime is veryy defintion of sentence "Wish it could last longer"
Overall: 9/10
Overall this anime was fucking great and as I said I loved every second of it, Probably the most unique "rom-com"(even tho there's no visible romance elements until second part of season 2) I have watched. Definetly recommend it to everyone!

*SPOILER FREE REVIEW*
I started watching this anime with high excpectations, thinking it will be masterpiece, and yes, it was.
Out of all animes I watched this one touched me the most, I can't describe it but it was something special, so I decided I want to write a review about it.
Now let's begin with it:
Story - 8/10
As much I enjoyed this anime story wasn't anything special in my opinion, but I liked the idea, we have ex-solider who hasn't done anything in life other than being in war and killing, so what's purpose of that soilder after war? Violet's story about trying to understand emotions and
...
what does "I love you" mean is really interesting and very emotional. It was written very well but compared to other animes it's not really special so I give it 8/10.
Art - 10/10
Violet Evergarden is definetly one of the most beautiful animes I've ever seen, the animation and level of detail is really amazing, Kyoto Animation did great job.
Sound - 9/10
This anime has one of my favorite soundtracks in all of anime 100%, music is doing an amazing job in "describing" anime, and voice actors are also doing great job, you can really feel emotions and suffering of our characters through it.
Characters - 8/10
To be honest, even tho this show has really interesting characters I feel like Violet is only one deeply explored(but that's expected of mc), while other characters are there just to be there, but that doesn't mean they're bad, cuz this is supposed to be story of Violet Evergarden so it's expected to give mc most screentime. At the end characters are interesting and that's most important. And I must say Violet's character development thoughout the show is great at least.
Enjoyment - 10/10
I enjoyed every second of this anime even tho it had some parts less interesting than others but watching it was definetly an amazing experience and I can't wait to watch movie.
Overall - 9/10
This anime had it's good sides but it also had some flaws so it can't be 10/10, even so it was great in almost every aspect and definetly deserves all praise it gets.
I don't really know what to say anymore except to go watch it right now, I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.
