Maji de Watashi ni Koii Shinasai
Are you a person who likes surprises?? Well you’ll be surprise if you got through with watching this anime!
This anime is something else. The first episode really builds you up, give everyone false hope and then it became disappointing. It was action pack and really interesting because they started with a battle. I thought it may continue like this and so I went on but I was wrong. The female characters all having this crush on the male protagonist, well it is a harem but it look like the females really desire the male’s affection. To sum that desire it
...
would be “lust.” Even though they did include some action scenes which were mediocre, they didn’t really stick with the story all the way through. They briefly introduce the villain but quickly switch the theme to ecchi rather than a thriller. I get the fan service is different in Japan compare to anywhere else but due to this, it completely diverted the viewer attention to ecchi. This means our attention has focused on the ecchi part and completely forgot about the villains.
The artwork is decent meaning not the greatest but not the worst. Other ecchi anime, the nudity is covered up with something more natural like fog or blackout but in this, they put in pictures frames to cover them up. This really is a distraction because rather than looking at the art or subtitles, our attention has diverted to these picture frame because it appear so unnaturally, and unfit to the scene.
Character-wise, they all have their own unique characteristics which appears to have something to do with the history part of the anime but it wasn’t properly explained. There is a lot of incomplete trains of event with were left unexplained thus leaving the viewers confused.
Overall , I didn’t read the visual novel so I don’t have any harsh terms to say however this anime did have a good start with action and comedy but it wasn’t laid out properly so it’s been really boring watch. This anime is nothing out of the ordinary just one of those in the haystack, a common piece. If you’re looking for harem, ecchi anime, with some action…….you are very close but not there yet, don’t waste your time, take this off your list because you will be not impressed.

Have you ever wonder when you enter a new school, that you might have some trouble making new friends? Well I for one get that sometime, but if your school have a club for specifically making friends, would you join?
Yes it is a harem romantic comedy. However this has a better balance of romance and comedy than most romantic comedy. This anime is a lot like Baka to test to Shoukanjuu. A group of friends hanging out doing stupid activities together and one person usually acts as the “fool.” Plus it’s also like lucky star, where the anime shows the random events/ activities and
...
daily lives of the group.
The first episode is a little misleading (episode 00). I would recommend you watch it after you have watched the entire series. The anime may not have a hook because there is no complex plot. It’s just a group of people who has some trouble making friends all come together, thinking of a way to make friends… Ironic isn’t? They all don’t seem to have a grasp of friends making even though they hung out, shared a laugh or two and done activities together. These interactions are commonly shared among friends but of course they wouldn’t have known because they never actually made a friend before... This anime takes on a little of the social problem where people can’t seem to make any friends due to their “misfit” into society.
Art is reasonably suitable, the characters looks pretty clean and cutesy because of the random joke here and there. The opening and ending is quite suitable because it send out a cheery fun atmosphere which is a nice way to open up. Of course you can’t miss the characters, which are obviously the ones you have seen before. First we have the take charge tsundere female lead, then the arrogant, prideful princess, two prodigies who have spend most of their time studying then having a childhood, and a girl who wants to be manlier but doesn’t have the tomboy personality.
This anime may seem to be soothing and somewhat normal, but it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. This anime focused on the activities that you do with friends and not how to make more friends. It seems like a group of weird people who has some kind of problem making friends but have no problem of being friends with the club members.
Honestly overall I enjoyed the anime. It’s a causal school life comedy with a harem feature. Haganai has some good time, but it isn’t a interesting or romantic anime to watch so don’t expect too much out of it. If you’re looking for something like Baka to Test or Lucky Star then give it a shot.
One piece of dialogue I like the most is:
Girl: Can you accompany me to the bathroom?
Boy: bathroom?
Girl: I’m afraid of the…ghost!
Boy: (sigh)
Girl: are you still there?
Boy: Yes
Girl: ……are you still there
Boy: yes…..zzzzzzz
Girl :………are you still there………Hello? (scream and falls off the toilet) OMG OMG
Boy:….Huh? OOh! I’m here… Calm down and make your poop!
LoL.. one of the most funniest dialogue ever. .. Yes this comedy is pretty amusing if you ask me.

“Maken Ki” a very pure made anime focusing on fan service.
For all those harem, ecchi fanatic out there this is your anime to watch. This anime is full of scenes where the ecchi-ness reaches its peak. Ranges from accidently walking into the room where the girl is changing to clothing getting shredded by fighting matches. Yes, this anime is action based as the source of the fan service. I’m not saying there are no storyline, but it would’ve been better if the story was more developed. This may not be like Ikki Tousen or Tenjou Tenge because it’s fighting scene isn’t smooth; it’s more
...
like a magical shoujo archetype.
Artwork-wise, the characters are drawn nicely, and there are plenty of fan service since this a fan service base harm ecchi anime. I understand the art of fan service but the artist overly exaggerated the female characters bust size. It’s very un-proportional to the characters’ body ratio. I’m not saying it’s a bad point because having this characteristic makes the harm ecchi genre more successful but if it wasn’t necessary to make this kind of arrangement. If it was a little more reserved this anime would’ve received a better rating and more viewership. I’m not saying that there aren’t times where this trait made the fan service to its peak but to be honest having it made the anime a little unconventional.
Sadly to say, the fan service was more developed than the story itself. All the character’s personality is right out of the book, no originality. The plot was good, but if script focused more on deepening the story and made the characters engage in battle a lot more, it would’ve made it a lot more interesting. Despite this the producers went with the classic high school type story which wasn’t bad but it was too boring. I had hopes for this anime but end up disappointed. All there was are panty shots, flashing half naked bodies with big bust... it was fine for a few scene but got sick of the same scene over and over, just grew tired of it.
(*For the readers who are reading this and are disagreeing with these points or just getting a little angry, please keep in mind this is only my opinion I know everyone have their own preferences but wouldn’t you think those points are relevant?)
The opening and ending made me realize the true purpose of this anime and that is to satisfy those viewers who love a good harem, ecchi with a hint of romance anime. It seems like there will be another season but like most anime that also secretly hinted, it seems that this series was pretty badly viewed; meaning that the chances of another season are pretty low.
If you are a person who prefers a casual, ecchi anime with tons of fan services than a complex anime then you won’t be disappointed with Maken-Ki. It has some action, a little comedy, and a lot of ecchi scene. If only the story was more in depth it would be nice. I’m not that big of a fan of panty shots or a lot of huge half naked chest scenes so I think this anime is dedicated to those entire fanatics who like those scene and a whole lot fan service harem so enjoy!! If you’re not one of those people then … don’t watch it, you’ll just get bored!

Mashiro-Iro Symphony
“White” -a pure and unstained color but could be dyed by any other color.
The title of this anime can be translated as “Pure White Symphony.” I agree with the author to go with this title. It’s a very suitable title for such a pure, innocent anime. The story is rather simple, our male protagonist usually encounters with our heroine and many other female companions.
However, it seem like this anime was written by two different scriptwriter.. This anime seem to be split into two where in the first part of the anime, the producers focused on one heroine and then on the second
...
half they switch to a different heroine and complete shut out the first girl.
At first it seems very interesting, guy had an unusual yet friendly encounter with a girl and then the next day she completely changed her attitude. The first half was about how to mend their relationship into a steadier one which could lead to a happy ending. Until the girl secret was revealed and the female and male lead reaches a friendlier point in their relationship that was the end of that small arc. For a couple of episode we were introduced to the side character and then the second arc came. The first heroine was overlooked and was replaced in the second half. She took neutral role, the one who observed and gave advice. The second part we got to watch a different girl take the heroine role as she learn the emotions of having a crush and then supporting one’s love. However this isn’t where it ends because there is a third heroine which wraps things up nicely.
It seems like the scriptwriter wanted the effect of the various heroine but didn’t issue the right amount of screen time to the third heroine which could have produced a much better effect. Although this anime have the formula for a classic romantic comedy anime, it lacks the depth of the story. I get the sense that in the end, the writer is trying to say that change isn’t easy, it could be scary but people need to move forward toward the future. Also that anything is possible in the future because “the future is pure white, it could be dyed into any other color.”
Despite phrasing this in the beginning of the anime and at the end there wasn’t anything more about it in between which made this anime shallow. To summarize the structure of how the anime was laid out, I would say the first part was about gradually accepting other people’s support and the comfort of having people who you can trust and the second part is learning about the next deeper feeling of emotion and that is love.
The artwork is so pure. All the characters are drawn so adorable and in such a cute fashion. This is one of the classic harem anime that is very comfortable to watch. AS a classic harem anime, we have the at least one tsundere, tomboy, the caring upperclassman and the carefree, energetic girl and of course the reserved girl who speak slowly. Nevertheless all character was drawn pretty much with the same facial feature which lack variety. Yet despite this feature, no other changes were made to differentiate this anime to the other romantic anime. The only thing to tell the characters apart is the color of the different hairstyles and their eyes. They also have a outline around their eyes the same color as their pupil.
The music was very pleasing. The opening soon is very soothing and relaxing, the ending was very hyped up and energetic which suit the anime quite nicely.
Despite the fact that this anime could be improved in some aspect, overall this was a good anime. It doesn’t have a whole lot of fan service expect a little from the beginning but as a harem anime it did a nice job. It’s a very simple anime, no need to think very hard, debating whether to watch it or not. It’s very pleasing and sweet romantic anime to watch. I don’t see any reason why not give it a try so for all you harem anime fans out there….Enjoy!

Future? A unknown phenomenon that occurs after the present moment. You’ll never know what might be in store for you so the only thing you must do is gather your courage and determination and march forward!!
If you have watch the prequel of this story then you will not be disappointed however have you ever wonder who was the girl with the blue hair was. She always appears when the main characters are in a slump, troubled on what to do next. Exactly who and what is she? a deity? a ghost? She appears and then disappears without a trace. Also who was Himura,
...
he seemed to know a lot of the answers regarding life but is it from personal experience? He was waiting for someone and in the end the first series, he was waiting for Yuko, the girl with blue hair but who is she and what exactly is their relationship? Well you are about to find out in this sequel to E.F: A Tales of Melodies!! If you like the first series with the crazy philosophical sense in the artwork and in the setting then you w]on’t be let down. This time it isn’t just full of drama.. it has action too.
This time this story is focus on the characters that were giving guidance (Himura, Yuko and Kuze) to the protagonists of the first series. We get to look into the proof behind those words that help the young protagonist out, starting with the view the relationship that Himura had while he was in high school. After all Himura is the protagonist of the story and present Kuze. That’s right instead of 3 male lead, its 2!
This series rather than focusing on the emotional dilemmas and love ties like “A tales of Memories” this series does indeed has those trait incorporated but it takes them to a whole another level. This one incorporates the themes from the prequel plus the addition of torture and suffering of losing someone. The only difference is whether one wants to enjoy ever last moment they have or try to forget them before they get to deep. The protagonist is rather considerate to others yet very cruel to himself. He would rather suffer and die alone without bothering anyone or hurting anyone too deeply. In one view point he is very courageous but in another viewpoint he is very conceited. Though it is a really painful decision to make and not anyone could have this determination to break all ties.
The other protagonist however is face with a more traumatizing dilemma. Everyone has a scar that can never heal after losing a loved one in an accident, but everyone has their own way of recovering over it. In Himura’s scenario, it’s rather intense. He encounters his childhood friend who got adopted before him and learned something horrifying about her. Nobody could be more prepared to suddenly lose a loved one. No can cope with the facts right away. Wounds take time to heal especially the one in the heart, but this scenario is insane. “When one thinks of another’s feeling and blame oneself, it actually makes the other suffer more. But when the one inflicting the pain is the one who felt the most pain. When one loses a loved one, one could recover by the comfort and support from family or friend but what if that family or friend is the one you lost and there’s no one else who could help you? This person found a replacement for their loved one. Instead of showering them with emotion of the one they lost, they inflict pain on the innocent. However there is a twist!!...
As the plot deepens, the story gets more realistic in the way where we could somewhat apply in our own lives. This story shows us a grander psychological angle. However the similarity between both characters is that they are both running away from reality. They seem to be thinking they are doing the right thing but that is only for self-satisfaction. They are insecure and thinking it’s the right thing to do. However they are scared to face the truth!
As always the artwork is fantastic as well, the symbols of the scenery really capture the mood and setting. Plus the variety of colors really describe the mood of the characters and sort of sending out a subliminal message on how the viewers should feel. The characters are drawn in the same way as the first series, and the character get drawn in a different frame all locked up to inscribe to us how they are feeling inside. Showing us this abstract scene really get oneself engross on the character. This part I don’t despise but sometime I feel frighten on how the story unravel. However that is this anime’s hook!
This anime is truly a beautiful piece of work. It is magnificent, how the story is laid out the way it is. I especially like how it has more than one male lead in these romance stories because that way the story does end and not leave the viewer hanging and also for other people to not loathe the author for not matching up the character with the one they chose.
Honestly to sum up this series, I’ll end with a quote!
This is a story of “Will.” “People who walk toward the future will eventually reach the place that they once dreamt of. Toward the tomorrow that gleam of light”
I highly recommend this anime to those fanatics out there who really loves a good romantic, sad and tragic anime. You will really enjoy this and will be engross with it. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
Can you hear it? The Melody of Truth

“There are only inevitabilities and accidents in the world and what you’re going to do, but nothing will happen if you only wish for it however wishing is the first step to achieving your dream!!”
I'm pretty sure many people has comes across this line at least once when a decision had to be made that determine which path to take, “I have no idea on what I want to do!" and that the things you are doing presently aren't exactly fulfilling what really you want. You are only doing them to fulfill other people's expectations of you!
This story is a very exquisite piece of work
...
that comes across with a philosophical message. People behave very differently and they constantly changing their mind depending on their experiences or memories. Decisions aren’t easy things to initiate because no one can account for what will be in store for them in their future. This story shows the perspective of 3 selected male individuals deciding on what they should do when a serious decision needed to be made. However what they do share in common is that they all feel that something is missing in their lives and this story shows how they find this missing piece when they each encounter the female protagonists. However not everyone can adapt to the sudden changes in ones environment, thus having mental breakdowns/ despair on what they should do next. The art style and sequence of colors and frames really capture the emotions of the character during each scene. The artist also incorporates various sceneries using them as motifs and messages. I find that point shine the most in the entire anime.
The artwork is very comely, the art styles of each character are drawn in very easy on the eyes, and no characters were exaggerated. The colors especially gave the most tone to each character’s story(s). Sometime it varies in color mixed with abstract symbols and sketches which defines the mood of the characters. Like sometime it goes black and white to create a lonesome/ troubling effect and immediately fill with colors when their mood changes. Like yellow for happy and blue for sad.
The music inserted really emphasizes or deepen the mood/feeling of the situation and I find it very captivating.
Honestly, the structure of this story is placed very nicely, like how they incorporate 3 main protagonists with their own princess that they need to save really change the audience’s viewpoint. Each protagonist has their situation, each more devastating than the next, however they are linked on the message that all three different story contributed to.
This anime is a tragic, sad yet very beautiful piece. To be honest this is my 3rd time re-watching it and I still like it. I highly recommend this anime to the anime fan who love a good romantic drama. Hope you enjoy it!!

If you were given the 2 choices whether its to rebel and take on the entire world or surrender and remain powerless? What would you do? In any case scenario you must consider the advantages and disadvantages to both sides before coming to a conclusion. Well if you a person who likes a rational discussion and historical drama then this is for you. T
This particular anime starts of with a set up of the main plot. Of course i was confusion as hell, and i watching each episode twice get the gist of the idea but of course i was very unique. This piece is
...
full of arguments within countries in the world of politics. All for one cause. "World Domination!" That's the conclusion I come to after watching this piece.
This is a spectacular anime, although it was rather confusion at first. The first 4-5 episode were very heavy handed, lots of information of history bestowed upon the viewers. It is a challenge to get because the writer didn't use history of what we know of but f their own made up ones. Of course i can support that theory because even after watching this season 1 introduction, all they said is to recreate history from a testament and nothing more.
I really like the artwork and the actions scene because personally I like mecha and fighting scene that convoluted technical aspects. I find it very fascinating and intriguing. The artist also added some religious aspect to their powers as well. Instead of using spell stigmas or circles they used the arc from shinto shrine. This aspect i find very unique.
Character wise, all very very beautifully drawn, and portrait the suitable personality for each one except that the artist have this tenancy to over exaggerate some female character's chest areas. The building ranges from historical building you may see in the edo period with some technical design.
I especially like the design of the water-like aurora coating the bottom of each ship. Instead of a cloud effect or nothing, this water work really make the ship appear of its own.
To be honest, if you're the person who doesn't like abstract idea, politics or history then good luck trying to get through. It was a real challenge to grasp the plot of the anime. Even though it was an anime unlike the others, i actually really enjoyed it right up to the extra ending scene! Very beautifully done and very much looking forward to SEASON 2!

If one day some beautiful girl suddenly appear in front of you and told you, you have the power to fix the evil released into the world, would you do it??
Well then if you like a simple, cutesy romantic comedy then I recommend this one for you. Here is your typical romantic comedy anime, where you have a average high school boy encounters a sudden appearance of a goddess who came out of nowhere and changed his life.
This is a typical harem romantic comedy, there isn't much to say about this piece. We have of course the main lead, Yuuri, like all male characters in
...
harem, all his stats are average, nothing special expect his lineage and he live in a shrine.
Also we have Mashiro, the goddess who randomly shows up, who has the composed, elegent obedient wife. Who does everything with courtesy to other.
Mifuyu, the girl with the most pride and don't really like to rely on others
and of course the classic stock character Ameri, the tsundere childhood friend who isn't true to her feelings
The story is very simplistic, the leads encounters, a brief summary of what need to be done, and we're off. This piece lacks depth and contrast, but i guess that wasn't the main theme of the anime. I think the producers aim what the art work because many of the characters were drawn very cute and nicely, its amazing and some are a hit and miss, (has strong point occasionally). The villains are set halfway between known as evil but turns out to be good. They have no evil intent only a little discomfort of being around humans.
If you are a person who likes romantic comedy and wanted something casual but yet random then this is for you. You won't get hooked but you would like to continue watching. It's a very pleasant anime to watch and sometimes it has it funny points. I couldn't really come to hate this anime but it is a nice change of pace. Give it a try, the artwork is pretty cutely drawn!

Well truth to be told, if you are reading this.. then you've probably watched season one and anxious to see what season two is about. Well season one is started out pretty good. Starting with a fighting scene on the very first episode really hooks you in. However that is how this entire franchise is going to be like.
I can see how it's very allure to watch this anime with all the suspense they give you and the mystery provided. Like how at the end of season one, many mystery has not yet been solve, which cause many more question. Season one was pretty
...
good is the aspect of sequence of events and moments of suspense. This anime is very short anime with very very short arcs. Season one was the longest where we get to see every character and then near the end focused on one character which is "Misato Aoi" Season two however is full of confusion and just plain terrible. But at the very least the producer tried to fix it. Here's why....
I will say this season two contains a better story, more mystery and increased in suspense but the procedure or the events weren't executed to reach the satisfactory point. The first 5 episode arc was about this Justice assassination organization. If was an pretty good intro to the mastermind of the destruction and is gave us what should we expect to see in the next few eps. However it wasn't executed properly. The characters weren't properly introduced, the producer tried to deepen our knowledge of the character but not to the full therefore leaving us back to square one. A lot more characters true identity ore motives came to light but it had no connection to the story at all. Like the second arc, Stars of Fate, the four guardians were even given a reasonable amount of screen time for us to get to know them as the guardian. I know it's suppose to be unknown but they shouldn't at least gave us a hint that they have met before or at least encounter.(talking about the Alan Claude). The most terrible thing about this anime is that they completely ignore the strong point of the anime is the fluid fighting scenes. I actually looked forward to the fighting scenes but instead they made the enemy way to powerful and that somehow instead of close combat it's more like a one hit KO or a super powerful beam. The last episode of season two is even more despicable!!
The ending of 23 was awesome, very strong, very powerful but they complete ignore the fight and went back to the aftermath or the ending of the show instead of slowly guiding us through it. People want to see the fight but they didn't show us what we want. It's like trying to watch a movie but half way through at the FREAKEN CLIMAX they cut us off and show us the ending. The worst part is they realize what they've done and just added a small cut scene of it. The last two episode of season two is a sort of a bonus for us to get a better feel of the characters and a little more of the aftermath, but honestly disappoint me because I'm pretty sure it could've been inserted somewhere in the actual season as a part of an arc instead of a bonus, for more effect. It's like they are trying to fix things up.
The music and art i have no complaint about, they were both drawn and inserted very nicely, characters personality very much suit how the character are drawn.
Honestly if you were going to watch this season and hoping that the mysteries from the first season were going to be solved and unravel then you are looking at disappointment!! SERIOUSLY!! However if your just looking at anime just to kill some time and like action and suspense mainly appealing to shounen viewers then this may be the one for you but don't expect to much from this!

If you are given an opportunity to change your life completely, would you go for it? This story is about a timid and shy boy grasping his fate of living underground and drill it through toward the sky!! With the help of his sworn brother and the people he meet along the way.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann captivates the essence of an anime. It combines many different genres and incorporates it into a single anime. It is a piece of work unlike any other and it could get you from feeling all pumped up to all "tingly" inside in an instance. Although that is its strong
...
point, it is also it's weak point, the director may have gotten the feeling across but didn't prolong it long enough for it to reach the maximum potential. However this one unique point made this anime into one of a masterpiece in many different aspects but it has some loopholes.
The first half starts out really fun to watch. It all packed with energy, action scene, punk and mecha to hook you in to its deepest core. Mecha battle one right after another it packed with witty, simplistic quotes that really echos through out the entire anime.. like the phrase they said at the moment of proving oneself to the world " WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE!!" That one really stick with me. This adventurous anime really take you to the distance without holding anything back which make this absolutely exhilarating!! But that one for the first part. Where you have a typical anime. A party of rebels gathering together to confront the king who has condemned them live underground.
The first half reminded me of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed where we have a timid guy who doesn't like to fire, but fight for others and then he meets the princess.
In some sense it is very similar until the second half uncovers
The first half is fun, entertaining and adventurous. In the second half it evolves into something much for deeper and grand but this is not the only big difference and that is that they had a 7 years overlap. They went from young adolescences to mature young adults. In the second half many characters stayed the same but many have changed. Like Yoko, she was a most developed character with here playfulness and general attractiveness, but a character of her caliber and existence was treated with unfair judgement. She disappear for the beginning of the second half and then when we needed her the director gave us a quick summary of where she was at. Kamina was another character that was well liked, because of his charisma and fun personality. However if he had not died in the early series, Simon wouldn't have evolved and the story wouldn't grow as well. Having a strong character to start is a complex production that needed to be executed well to make it successful if the character was kept alive, but since they took the alternative route, they story took a different, which still made it look strong!(impressive)
The drastic changed in anime style between the first and second half differs from survival of the fittest where power is all the matters to brain is now essential. They went from fun and exhilarating to serious and complex then back to fun and entertaining. It's like two people are working on the script experimenting and failed for a complete change!
The music in this anime isn't epic enough to make it shine. The anime is epic already with the art of draft-like pencil scenes to sharp and bubbly. However with the general BGM inserted it still made it work, so no complaints there.
Anyway.. i guess the lesson or message here is that those who refuse to change will not see the essence of life. Gurren Lagann is a very fun anime to watch, its far from perfection but have very few flaws. It has a little something for everyone, from A little Romance, to Friendship, brotherhood ,Adventure, lots of Mecha Action, a little comedy and "bad-ass-ary" so I would recommend it for everyone. However I personally would say this particular piece of work is more appealing to male audience, but ladies give it a shot.. because you never know~
