I went into this show because I saw a picture of the art and found it cute and also found the idea interesting. It is now one of my top shows and I recommend it to everyone I meet.

Viewers get to watch an abducted princess go on little adventures searching for a way to sleep comfortably. The demons that abducted her grow fond of her and dote on her more and more throughout the show. This is purely comedy and cuteness, so don't expect any ground-breaking plot.

I normally hate slice of life but Sleepy Princess was a breath of fresh air. The story ... is very unique and I can't find any other media with a similar premise. Something about the idea of it being a fantasy slice of life with completely unrealistic themes is very refreshing and adds to the humor. After having rewatched this show so many times, I still can't quite figure out what exactly sets Sleepy Princess apart so much from other shows for me. The creators took a very simple, seemignly-bland starting plot and stretched it. Normally this would get repetitive and annoying, but Sleepy Princess' premise of an abducted princess in a "prison" allows the repetitiveness to make sense and still keep it funny (I have cry-laughed at this show multiple times).

Above all else, this is one of the few animes of this demographic I can think of that doesn't have any "problematic stuff". No pedophilia, no objectification of female characters, no offensive jokes, etc. I've watched enough anime over the years that I've gotten used to all of these themes, but I absolutely did not expect that a show like Sleepy Princess would have NONE of them; a very pleasant surprise.

Overall, watch Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle!! If you don't like it; you just wasted a bit of time watching a few 24 minutes episodes. If you do like it; I guarantee you will recommend it anytime someone asks for a feel-good anime recommendation.

i want to premise this by saying that i don't often write reviews. however, this show is so incredibly underrated that i though i should pitch in my thoughts on it.

before watching gokusen, i had never seen it anywhere. no one ever talks about, cosplays from it aren't common, there is a tiny if no fandom at all. i found the gokusen in a "top 10 underrated gang anime" video on youtube. mind you, this was the only video that mentioned gokusen at all. i was a bit cautious to start this anime because it isn't well known, however, after watching it, i can conclude ... that this is by far the most underrated anime i have watched.

STORY: the story of gokusen is about a young yakuza clan heiress who has always dreamed of becoming a teacher. she becomes a math/homeroom teacher at a high school known for its delinquent students. i really liked this show because it didn't try too hard to stand out or be different.

ART: i won't lie, the art wasn't top quality. however, this was made in 2004, so i would say it's quite nice considering the time period. i personally really like the "old anime" art style so it was very pleasing for me, but i know most people prefer more modern art. the characters aren't sexualized and they just look like normal people.

SOUND: the sound was good throughout the entire show. there isn't much to say about it.

CHARACTER: contrary to what i expected before watching gokusen, i found the characters really interesting. even though most characters other than kumiko and shin were e x t r e m e l y similar, all of the characters being together really makes the show whole. it provides a mostly non-cheesy friendship/teamwork feel and watching the characters bond is really neat.

ENJOYEMENT: although i wasn't expecting anything special from this show, it really surprised me. the classic 2000s anime comedy had me rolling on the floor laughing practically the whole time i was watching. as this is mainly a feel-good, chill show, you want to keep watching because it puts you in a good mood but you're not overly intrigued to the point where you can't sleep until you finish the show.

i'd give this show an overall 10/10 but i must admit that it's nothing too original. it was an extremely enjoyable show, but it was nothing gorundbreaking. i'd also like to add that the gokusen will most likely appeal to almost everyone. you may not enjoy it as much if you prefer action anime, though.

overall, i'd recommend the gokusen to everyone i know and it's SO underrated. so please please give it a chance :))

this is my first time writing a review for an anime so bear with me.

at first i was very hesitant to watch this anime because it had quite a few bad reviews, but in the end, i'm really glad that i watched it.

"Angels of Death" or "Satsuriko no Tenshi" is categorized as "psychological horror" but i personally didn't think it was too scary. however, this anime is definitely not for vulnerable people. it covers a lot of extremely disturbing and intense themes and it takes quite a mental toll on you. mental illness is a big theme along with suicide and just death ... in general.

the main, and i'd say only, problem i had while watching "Angels of Death" was how religion was constantly pushed down my throat. while the concept of God did play quite a big part in the story, i don't think it needed to be mentioned as often as it was. i myself am not religious, but i'm sure that religious people watching this anime would find certain aspects quite offensive. it's a bit difficult to explain because a detailed explanation would include spoilers so i won't say anything more.

contrary to other people who have written reviews, i actually believe "Angels of Death" was a rather fast-paced show that didn't drag the plot along.

now if you're looking for an anime with a satisfying ending, you might like "Angels of Death". the ending of this show is EXTREMELY sad but also perfect. because of the plot of the show, i think its ending is the most proper one possible.

and also, if you enjoyed the game "Your Turn to Die", you will most likely enjoy "Angels of Death", and vice versa.

anyways, i doubt anyone will actually read this but i hope i explained everything considerably well.
