Ghost Hound and Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni is similar in terms of the psychological things it might give the viewer while watching it. Although Ghost Hound has a more complicated and professional way of showing and stating things, it is still similar with HNNKN in terms of boggling your mind.

Code Geass and Death Note are similar to each other in a way that they make the viewers (watchers) think of who is really justice and the like. They are both intelligent animes. If you like Death Note, I guess you'll also like Code Geass, and vice versa.

Code Geass and FMP are similar because of the "mecha" theme. Code Geass is actually fighting using those "robots" like the one in FMP. You should give them both a try.

Vampire Princess Miyu and Jigoku Shoujo is similar in plot. The way someone needs help form them, and then they will help them, then everything's back to normal. That's how their story goes... It kinda gets boring, but it's still nice... ^_^

All harem animes are similar, don't you think? But I think Canvas 2 is much, much better than Da Capo. Still, I recommend you watch Canvas 2... ^_^

Happiness!
|
Da Capo and Happiness are somewhat similar because of the characters. However, in Happiness, there's no harem or what, just magic, and the drama isn't that deep. Also, in Happiness and Da Capo, you can see the friendsdhip of the characters there, so it's really similar...

The fighting scenes are almost the same with each other. The character's animation is great and somehow the same, and the attitude of the protagonist is also the same! I want to give Zombie Loan a 10, but the ending isn't nice, I'm asking for more. As for Devil May Cry, I got hooked to it from the very beginning so I gave it a 10. These animes are great fighting animes! With the zombies/devils, it's an action-packed anime!

Kanon (2006)

It's similar to air in case of the drama intensity. However, Air lacks the longevity of the story, but it's a pretty good one too. Kanon is great because of the unpredictable flow of the story. These two will surely bring tears to your eyes.

Fushigi Yuugi and Saiunkoku Monogatari is somehow the same because of its reverse harem type. They make you fall in love with the guy and girl characters too. For me, Saiunkoku Monogatari is better than Fushigi Yuugi because of its story. Saiunkoku Monogatari is more on the realistic/political side with the side dish of comedy and love...

They're similar in a way that they're both harem series. When I watched Shuffle! it gave me thoughts about DC. There's only a tiny difference between the two, the other one's somehow predictable unlike the other one...
