There is no better way to say it - Eat-man is a copy of Trigun. You have enigmatic main character whose backstory is slowly discovered. Setting is somewhat futuristic world of wild west feel. Both are old style sci-fi stories and even the animation look very similar. However Trigun is definitely the better of the two.

Both fantasy, both set in fictional worlds, in boths our heroes become main characters almost by accident, there is some serious world-building in both series. Protagonists must overcome great deal of danger. There is difference in art style, and Lodoss is closer to high fantasy genre, where Guin is closer to Conan-like (sword and sandals) fantasy.

Similar art style, practicly identical style of humour. There are connections to school life (one high school and other university). And of course there is very prominent adult humour (although in Prison School it is much more - hardcore would be best way to describe it).

Both series take place mainly in Manga/Book store, both are comedies centered mainly around topic of selling and appreciating books/mangas, both use humor to shed little light to behind the scene of inner workings of book shop, even type of humor is similar. Main difference is that Honda-san´s character design is more fantastic where Denkigai is normal (well 16yo girl looking like 9/10yo but other than that trope - normal)

Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records

Setting of both shows is pretty similar: World in a time around post industrial era (though with a difference being, Rokudenashi is set in a world where magic exists) Main protagonists have two sides to them (on one hand they are just and caring, on the other they can be calculating and pragmatic) There are some instances of world building, though there is fewer of them in Rokudenashi) As for art style and theme of the show, Rokudenashi is more goofy one, there are numerous humorous scenes. Nejimaki is the better of the two but Rokudenashi is quite similar so I would recommend it (but be warned, the last episode took quite a nosedive in quality and whole plote seemed to me quite rushed).

Ergo Proxy
|
Both series are based in somewhat distopian worlds. Ergo Proxy is quite desolate world, where The Big O is just a little distopian (think Mad Max and Blade Runner in comprarison). Ergo proxy is more of a drama and psychological exploration, where The Big O is more stylised as a crime noir drama, even show design is based in 30´s america. Both are action based but with heavy dramatic scenes and quite significant character development. The Big O animation seems little old by todays standards, but given design of the show I think it is not that much of a hindrance.

Both series are similar in their attemp to portrai more realistic version of spy world (Joker Game more so than Senkou no Night Raid) compared to such classics as Bond Novels. Both are in same time period, that is before WW2. Art style is also quite similar. Joker Game has more episodic aproach, so every episode there are new mysteries and new spies, although there is some connecting tissue. Senkou no Night Raid has story arc through whole series. Joker Game is more reality based, although protagonists are top of their respective fields, they are still humans. Senkou no Night Raid is more fantastic, more in line of all powerful action superheroes of yesteryear.

Both are realisticly depicting emotions and frustrations in such ways that anyone can relate to them. They are for more mature audience. Usagi Drop is more about paternal and maternal love, where Natsuyuki Rendezvous is more about romantic love. Both series are bittersweet. Animations has similar feel for both of them. Natsuyuki Rendezvous has supernatural element in one of three main characters and fairy tales sequences are small departure from reality, but their function is just to express through visual internal emotions of characters, same way dreams would.

Well, I start with saying those two animes are like Day and Night. Both are targeted at different audience, has different tone, narrative style, well almost everything, BUT there is one similarity. That is descriptive educational style of presenting additional information of things occuring in story and that is all. So if you liked that give this one go, otherwise try something else.

To be honest these two series are quite different, but Bartender is in itself departure from classic format of storytelling so it would be hard to find something which is more similar. Both series are more adult oriented, stories and conflicts are from everyday life. Tone of both series is more grounded in reality. Both series has reccuring characters but given nonlinear form of Bartender, in Ristorante Paradise they are more prominent. Although it is non descriptive they have similar feel to them, they feel more like people you would meet on the street. Both are more dramatic, with very little comedic moments (although Ristorante is more lighthearthed) Bartender is however very episodic with little to none overall story and is more of a salute to Bar culture. Ristorante Paradiso has more substantial overall story and has more insight in Restaurant culture.

Protagonist are very simillar, both are respected profesionals with exceptional talents. Gallery Fake is more about art world (wheter legal or illegal) it is also little more lighthearted with occasional laughs. Master Keaton is more serious, it is more drama oriented.

Both are about school life, love and life struggles, both deals with lost of dear or loved ones, both balance on fine line between drama and comedy - Shigatsu is more comedic and Golden time more dramatic. Although story is quite differnt there is element of person who helps overcame difficulties from past for main character. Shigatsu is more oriented towards music, but it is just setting so it shouldn´t matter too much. I would say both series has similar wibe to them.
