Moyashimon Returns is the sequel to the original Moyashimon series. The original series was made back in 2007. The 1st season was pretty good, but they left some minor cliff hangers, but it was still satisfying. It was not until FIVE years did another sequel to the series arrive.
The Moyashimon series is probably one of the most under looked anime out there. I mean if you read the synopsis it basically says it's a anime about a college student who has the gift to see microbes. I mean who wouldn't look the other way if it's about a man who can see microbes
...
and goes to an agricultural school. I see why people look down on this anime because it doesn't seem very exciting. But I gave it a try and was surprised by the outcome.
Story: 7
It's about a college student who has the gift to see microbes and he attends a agricultural university, which is just chalk full of microbes. Moyashimon Returns picks up where the 1st season left off. At first glance the story seems bland, but it's actually pretty funny how these characters get into crazy situations. It certainly is an original story, but it doesn't really appeal to many people, and is a reason why this anime is under looked.
Art: 7
The art in this anime is basic. There's nothing to fancy about it either. I do have to say the art from season 1 and season 2 changed, I personally think the 2nd season art had slightly better art quality. Overall, the art doesn't really stand out, but it's good enough art to make you keep watching.
Sound: 8
There's not much to say about sound. The anime opening and ending are actually really good! They are simple, calming, and cute to watch. It definitely gives a boost to the score!
Character: 7
The characters of the story are pretty basic, normal everyday college students. The good thing is that they all have their unique personalities that add onto their character persona. When the characters are together, it is really funny and entertaining sometimes seeing the situations they get into.
Enjoyment: 7
This show is actually really funny! I definitely enjoyed the comedy a lot! I think the 1st season was funnier than Moyashimon Returns, but this one was pretty hilarious none the less. People say it gets boring sometimes, and sadly yeah it sometimes does. The comedy, characters, originality, the supernatural element and the little bits of drama, are what makes this show enjoyable.
Overall: 7
Listen guys, I personally enjoyed this show and a 7 is a relatively high score. "Don't judge a book by it's cover" because honestly this show is worth trying out. If you don't like it that's fine, but it can be really enjoyable for someone else. This anime is definitely under estimated and tossed aside just because it isn't as exciting as some shounen series. Personally, this anime is very enjoyable if you have the time to watch and it's sad to see a pretty good series overshadowed by other ones.

*WARNING: THIS IS A REVIEW AND MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. IT'S RECOMMENDED TO READ IF YOU KNOW ABOUT SWORD ART ONLINE ALREADY.*
Sword Art Online is a great Light Novel and the anime is also a great watch too. There is also the manga of Sword Art Online: Aincrad, which on the other hand is not too great. I'll tell you exactly why.
This manga would deserve a 7 compared to the Light Novel or anime. Many people take a 7 as a relatively low score, but it indeed is pretty high. I've read parts of the LN and I'm watching the anime. I will review
...
and compare this from the anime, since it was nicely adapted from the LN.
The manga was good, but it lacked in many things, that the Light Novel and anime provided. This is what I mean when I say the manga is not as great compared to the LN or anime.
From any Sword Art Online fan, the basic story is about a boy named Kirito who gets trapped in the game Sword Art Online. If you die in the game world, you die in real life. The only way to escape Sword Art Online is to beat all 100 floors.
Based from the anime, the events that Kirito is involved in occur in the manga as well. Events such as, how the start of the was game, how Kirito joined a guild, or how Kirito met Asuna are all in the manga. The manga's tells of all these events, but they are presented not as great as the anime or LN did.
The story is overall the same and very good, except that the art, plot development, and character development bring it down a bit.
The art is not very good, and it is hard to tell what's happening because the art is very high quality. It sometimes gets a bit sloppy during the fighting sequences and is no match compared to the anime.
The character development is also something that brought the score of it down. A lot of the material and scenes feel rushed, on the other hand the anime and LN have much better pacing.
Also the lack of explanations bring the score down as well. From the anime there is an episode about Yui, the child that Asuna and Kirito found and started to care for her, is also included in the manga, well part of it. This is also apart of the Ln as a well written side story. There was about a page that showed Yui in the manga, but did not explain who or what she was. The only reason I knew it was Yui is because of the anime and LN. For any reader who hasn't watched the anime or read the LN, would most likely be confused. The manga is not fully updated online, but even if they put an explanation in, it would have been better to put it in at the time Yui was shown and not later on.
Overall, if you are a fan of the Light Novel series or anime series, and you can't get enough Sword Art Online, then I recommend you read it. If your just a regular fan reading the LN or watching the anime, then you might not find the manga as great. It's an okay manga on it's own, but compared to it's other versions, it's not as well done. To be honest, the LN and anime gives you a thrill when you read/ watch it, the manga sadly doesn't give the same feeling.
NOTE: I WILL UPDATE THIS WHEN THE MANGA IS UP TO DATE ONLINE (10/23/12)

"The Sky's the Limit"
This is a frequently used quote, notable in literature. One can take it literally as in the sky is as far as we can go. Or metaphorically meaning the sky has endless possibilities. Lets go with metaphorically! The sky is the limit, it holds the endless list of dreams one wishes. Why am I telling you about a quote rather than the anime? Well the sky is the limit, right? Not in the wold of Air Gear it is, one can go beyond the skies in order to reach their dream.

OWN CAUTION, RECOMMENDED TO READ AFTER YOU WATCH THE ANIME*
Story: 9
Simply imagine a world where your aloud to touch the vast sky, practically soar through the heavens, and feel the wind in your hair as you race across open air! All this is possible in the world of Air Gear. The world of Air Gear uses the invention of the Air Treks (A-T's). Air trek's are basically advanced roller blades allowing the user to race through the streets, buildings, and the air with amazing speeds and ease! No matter how big or small you may be, when these people put on their Air Gear, they feel as swift as bird flying through the sky.
The story revolves around a young teen named Itsuki Minami or easier said "Ikki". Ikki has loves the sky ever since he was young, Once Ikki finds out about the Air Gear world, he is hooked on them. This new fad of 'Air Treks' swept the nation's youth and all over gangs are being formed that compete in various events, tournaments or races using their A-T's . Ikki forms his own team,Kogarasumaru, with the help of some friends and they start to compete in these events. There is a special ranking system in the world of Air Gear, and the highest rank skaters are know as Sky Kings. Ikki's team wants to be the number 1 team out there. Even Ikki wants and has the potential to be a Sky King.
Art: 8
The art in Air Gear is overall well done and drawn well. The art has great detail and the action scene art is especially great. It's not super beautiful art, but it has a more rustic, cool look to it.
Sound: 8
The opening and ending of Air Gear are truly great. It fits this genre perfectly with some nice rock and roll beats. Even the sound effects and background music fit nicely with the appropriate scenes.
Characters: 8
Each character is unique in what kind of Air Trek they use and each have their own different goals. Overall all the character are nicely developed and have unique characteristics that stick with them and make it good.
Enjoyment: 9
The enjoyment factor is great if your a person who enjoys some cool actions and racing scenes. These aren't any ordinary, boring race scenes, there are complex race tracks many times with obstacles! Plus this new concept of Air Treks have never been seen before, so it's a unique twist on its own. The whole idea of Air Treks and tournaments, races, and events that teams compete in, is very enjoyable.
Overall: 8.5 - 9
I really enjoyed this anime and the plot is original. I'm sad that it only has 25 episodes, it would have been a great anime to continue. This anime teaches an important lesson, that to always reach for the sky because the sky, like our dreams, has endless possibilities.
"Look at the sky, it’s so far away. But right here, right now it seems so close."
~Air Gear
Lesson learned: Your dreams may be closer than you think, just never give up on them.

"The things I had to tell her… The things I hoped she would listen to... There were so many of them."
~5 Centimeters Per Second
Sometimes we can't say all we want to say to that special someone. When the opportunity comes to tell them, what happens? Sometimes fears and emotions get in the way of how we feel and what to say. We take those opportunities to talk to the ones we love for granted and before you know it, they have already moved on with their life. Words can make a difference, but sometimes we can't find the right ones or are to scared
...
to say them. Life goes on and the words you so desperately wanted to say are forgotten in time.
*WARNING THIS IS A REVIEW AND CONTAINS SPOILERS. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS. RECOMMENDED TO READ THIS AFTER WATCHING*
Story: 9
The story of 5 Centimeters Per Second is a love story about Takaki Tōno and Akari Shinohara. The story is split up into 3 arcs.
In the 1st arc Takaki and Akari have been friends since elementary school and have protected one another. One day Takaki's family moves away and his relationship with Akari is severed for quite some time. Takaki and Akari even if separated, continue to write to each other and eventually Takaki decides he wants to visit her. When they finally see each other again, each has so much to say, but in the end can't. Time stops for no one and Takaki missed his opportunity to say what he truly feels. Even if their meeting was brief and very enjoyable, they couldn't express true feelings. Their paths stray away from each other and fate never let's them meet again.
The 2nd arc is about Takaki, but this time in high school. Kanae Sumida is a classmate and friend of Takaki and has fallen in love with him. Like the younger Takaki, she does not have the courage to admit her true feelings. Kanae comes to realize that Takaki is looking for not a relationship, but something beyond that and is against telling her true feelings to him. Yet again, another opportunity is missed to tell how someone truly feels about someone else.
The last arc is Takaki grown up, as well as shows the life of the grown up Akari. They have taken totally different paths and never meet again. The lost words the two wanted to say to each other but never did, still float around in space waiting to be finally said. Does that ever happen in the story? Sadly that is a no. Even if they didn't get their true feelings across to one another and their life have gone on different paths, they still have never forgotten about one another and still think about one another till that day.
Art: 8
The art is, in a simple word, is beautiful. The winter and cherry blossom tree scenes are magical and it feels like you can just step into the screen to be there. The characters are drawn very well and detailed. Not much to complain about in this department.
Sound: 8
The OST of this movie is just as beautiful as the art. It reflects emotions on the listener and really hits at the heart. The soundtracks really remind us about the melancholic of the pleasure of life. The songs can reflect on the sad and happy times of our lives, especially the times when we spend it with a beloved one. It's simply magnificent and strikes emotion into ones heart.
Characters: 9
The characters are are wonderful. As I said before, even if they can't say what their emotions truly want to say, they never forget the special ones in their past who helped carve out their future. Especially through the character of Takaki, one gets to see the happiness, the simplicity, and the difficulties of growing up. The 1st arc, when he was a kid, reminds us how happy and carefree we were as kids. The 2nd arc reminds us of when we were teenagers, life was pretty simple and we did a lot of reflecting on our past and future. The 3rd arc shows the independence and difficulty of growing up. Time waits for no one, we are all kids inside, but once we become an adult that kid has to face harsh reality and begin to mature. Having said that, watching Takaki's character and life develop is simply another amazing things in this film.
Enjoyment 9:
If this film brings a person to tears then I'm pretty sure that individual has sincerely enjoyed it. I personally enjoyed it a lot and really helped me reflect back on the past and to be optimistic of what comes in the future. The simplicity and beauty of this movie is amazing. The director, Makoto Shinkai, once again shines in this drama, romance film, and I truly believe he did an outstanding job.
Overall: 9
This film truly depicts the reality of the world in a unique perspective. We all know that there are those time when we can't truly express ourselves, and it hurts us. When it happens most of us sulk for a while, but then get back on our feet. The power of words is phenomenal and if you just say what is truly in your heart one can feel better. If everyone says what they truly want to say and don't keep it locked in, then that means you are true to yourself. And being true to yourself is very important in this world. Focus on the present and say what is on your mind, so you don't miss an important chance. We can always looks back on the past and look forward to the future, but always remember that whatever is happening now is the most important things. It is easier said than done, but just have the courage to say what you feel. It will make you and the person you are saying it too, much more happier.
"Every minute felt like an eternity time, clearly as if it had malicious intent, slowly ebbing away from me. I clenched my teeth, and keeping myself from crying was the only thing I could do…"
~5 Centimeters Per Second (Takaki)
Lesson Learned: I know I keep emphasizing saying what you really want to say, but it is important. It feels like an eternity when we truly want to say something to that special someone, but in reality it might sometimes take only takes 5 seconds, for example the 3 words "I love you". Get it over with and I promise you'll smile about it afterwards, whether for the good or bad.
