- Both incorporate Japanese mythology and various supernatural elements (ghosts, gods, phantoms, etc.). - Both have a male protagonist who is a supernatural being and has a cheeky and flirty (sometimes) personality, but has a dark past and tries to keep it from his friends so they won't hate him. - Both also have a female protagonist who has a very close relationship with the male lead, comes along on the adventures, and is part-supernatural and part-human. They can both see the male lead even though no one else can. The female lead is in charge of emotional support but has saved and protected the male lead (Yashiro from JSHK only protected Hanako once, but Hiyori from Noragami has saved Yato multiple times). - Both have a male character (part of the main trio) that's blond, youngest of the group, and in charge of protecting everyone. - Both involve going on adventures into the "spirit world" and sometimes fighting. Noragami has more battle action than JSHK. - Very good character development! I personally think Noragami did character development better than JSHK did, but if you liked how the characters progressed and were explored in JSHK, you'll like the way Noragami handles its characters. - Awesome and super catchy opening songs, and the ending songs are nice, too, in both shows. - The male protagonist promised to grant the wish of the female lead, which led to all their crazy adventures together. - A villain is introduced later in the show who has surprising ties to the male protagonist... Both shows are amazing, and Noragami is a masterpiece, so if you liked JSHK, Noragami is definitely your cup of tea. Be sure to check it out!

- both have two main characters: a setter who is a selfish genius (at the start) and a short, energetic spiker. They have to learn to work together and make a formidable pair. - both are about a high school boys' volleyball team - in both, the main team used to be really good but now they aren't that strong, so they train to become the best and beat the strongest team - both have cool female managers who are their own distinct and developed characters - both stories are about volleyball players who have their own struggles to overcome and they work really hard to get better at volleyball and, in doing so, they grow closer to their team - even though JunKare is much shorter than Haikyuu!!, it still makes you care about the characters and want to cheer for them!

Haikyuu!!

- both are about a high school volleyball team (Crimson Hero is about a girls' team, Haikyuu!! is about a boys' team) - in both, the main character is energetic and is famous for their strong jumps and great spikes - both show how the characters put in lots of effort to become better and stronger and in the matches, you see how it pays off - both series have a "rival team" (in Haikyuu!!, these are Nekoma, Seijoh, and Shiratorizawa, in Crimson Hero, it's Yabe Business School) - the strongest team has a powerful left-handed ace (Ushijima in Haikyuu!!, Shoji in Crimson Hero) - both develop ALL the team members really well and make you really care about their matches and the work they put into them - Crimson Hero is a shoujo, so there is a love triangle and more drama than in Haikyuu!!, but volleyball is always the focus, so if you liked Haikyuu!!, you'll like Crimson Hero and how it focuses on a really strong group of volleyball girls and their fight to become the best
