It has been some time since I finished "Mondaiji-tachi" for the first time and since then it has become my most rewatched anime.
I will keep this review short but try my best to hightlight what is so good about it but also mention why it is not absolute 10 for me.
First point on my "why you SHOULD watch list" are the characters. If you like badass lead, who doesnt like messing around, is OP and has also really strong sidekicks this is for you. All of them has nicely written personalities, are somewhat unique and it can be considered a small miracle regarding they had
...
only 10 episodes to present them.
Second point is the fun and enjoyment. This anime is really relaxing, funny and easy to watch. You can turn off your brain and watch nicely animated fights with no big stress that main charters will get their ass kicked, followed by decent fan service provided by local bunny girl.
Last point is the story. Although cliche as the anime can be, it has set on the other hand quite unique backstory and world which could be later delevoped in decent story (yes you can read the novel, but you know ... anime has moving pictures).
Yes, I say could. Here lies your main reson why "you SHOULD NOT" watch this anime. And its when you dont like unfinished stories, opened ending etc.. Im not quite sure why this has only 10 episodes it so much wasted potencial I would cry.
So there you have it, if you can overcome that its only 10 episodes long and although the one arc of the story is finished, main journey has only began just not in the anime, you will experience one of the most enjoyable OP main lead ever created in anime.

This show left me breathless. Right after the final cut I needed to rewatch last episode all over again and enjoy the joy and pain once more. This is not some another action anime, this is piece of art.
Closest thing one should compare this show to is Samurai Champloo, not only because of the samurai theme but the main "plot" of traveling and finding what was lost is pretty similar, but where Samurai Champloo ends in story and character progression, Katanagatari only starts.
So much development in only 12 episodes (50min) is incredible. Characters are deep and are presented through very long but sensible dialogues. Many
...
people say that its boring and there is very little action. But thats the point. This is show about human soul, about meaning of one existence and his place in the world. Action parts are just for background and progress of the story.
Through the show and collecting all of 12 deviant blades you will reach final episode and find yourself with the heart shattered to pieces only to be little by little again put back together but you will never see this show in same light again. I could mumble about how much of masterpiece the ending was and how the final fights was so much of a enjoyment, but one must see it for himself to truly understand that.
This review is not here to spoil anything or to give you some opinions on visuals or music, its about expressing how much of an emotional impact had it on my person and how it should also change your view on your everyday life, even if a little. Cheerio.

Yet your another high school anime? No!
This is not some harem romance about cute MC finding his true love. It is about sacrastic bored high schooler Oreki who wants just to have his peace (Hachiman?) , but sadly he is super intelligent and so his days of energy savings are done, when he meets main heroine Eru.
The show contains short stories of mystery solving, the pattern goes pretty same every time. Something happen, Eru gets currious, Oreki solves the mystery in a way Sherlock Holmes would be jelous and thats it. One would think that its not that interesting, but it IS. The way
...
the mysteries and the progress of the story is written is so catching you will finish the anime in one day. Oreki is one hell of the badass and in my opinion on of the best high school MC in the anime.
Every mystery they solve is focused on different topic, but mostly daily business, nothing supernatural. F.E. what happened 45 years age to this guy that he was expelled from the school, who has stolen the ladle from the cooking contest etc. But that does not lower the overall tension. Everything fits together and creates wonderfull experience.
Other two Senpai from the main cast are much of a filler, they mostly act as a funny element or a bonus to Oreki and Eru. But it works pretty well.
The main story does not progress as much as you would thought. Basically the only bigger change we can see is in change of MC personallity.
Overall its great show that deserves attention from everyone who does like something untraditional.

What does one expect when he starts watching anime about middle school girls which are starting an enjoyment club? Well I dont know what you dirty minds expected but I wanted to have fun and that exactly what I got, nothing less nothing more.
This show has no deep story, no character progression, but it has really nice moe art and sence of humor. It is best show to watch after something deep and challenging like Steins;Gate, you will just turn off your brain and have fun.
It is based on short stories, situations and interaction between four main heroines and few other girls which are
...
living their normal middle school lives.
Those main characters ( I really cant remeber any boy featuring in this show) are quite different, and so their interaction has quite funny element in it. few of them follow classic types like tsundere, yandere etc. but most of them are original (its basicaly because of their youth and naivety).
I dont think there is really anything more to add, if you want to just have fun based on spoken and visual humor, turn of your brain and enjoy, this is anime for you.
8/10 Would relax again

Hunter X Hunter (2011) is something different. Although it looks like another typical shounen it does not have most of its issues. I will now tell you why is this anime treasure among the others in same genre.
When someone decide to watch long shounen series he probably expects few things. Firstly strong character development. Secondly awesome main story which will hold you even through the filler episodes. In the third place visualy and emotionaly strong battles. And for the last already mentioned fillers - episodes which can be funny sometimes but they only delay the main meat of the series.
So ladies and gentlemen, I present
...
you Hunter X Hunter first long shounen anime I ever watched which does NOT have filler episodes. Every episode is connected to the main story line. Enlarding the character development and backstory.
Every episode you will watch the development of the main story and of the main protagonists and antagonists in one of 7 arcs covered by this anime.
Sixth arc and the longest is something about 60 episodes long and its ending is the best this anime has to offers. It will give you chills , tears, laught .. simply everything. It has also very specific way of telling the story. During few 20 mins episodes there are only 2-3 minutes of the story, because it is viewed from prospectives of differents protagonists etc. But enought about spoiling. Lets talk about about the main cast.
Main heroes and antiheroes. In Hunter X hunter it is really difficult to say who is in fact antagonist. Everyone follows their ideals and in the end you will understand their intentions and even the most hatered characters will look like humans. Story itself is developed around two little boys. Gon and Killua. Some say that this anime does not deserve chance because the main protagonists are only 12 years old. I tell you it is not a problem. They are not childish, they cannot be, or they would die, immediately. In many scenes they act more mature then the adult cast. Gon and Killua have two sidekicks Leorio and Kurapika which also gets a lot of screen time and you will enjoy their stories. In fact besides Gon it is really hard to say who is in fact the main protagonist in this anime because every important character gets his screen time and development. Even antagonists. OMG. You will love them. Especially the first one to appear - Hisoka. This "perverted magician" is something you will enjoy for the most time and even if his main intention is to ultimately kill our Gon.
Battles. Even this anime uses the typical shounen sign of fighting, yelling name of your "spell or technique" during the clash. Especially in the second part of the series after the main heroes gain the "spiritual power" which is something what gives hunters their special potential. Nice thing is that main heroes arent overpowered and antagonists are especially on the beggining much stronger.
Telling something specific about story would be waste and in fact in would be very hard regarding many arcs covered. But what you can follow is the boy who is gaining power through his journey to find his father. It sound cliche but it really isnt. Mainly because it is not the only thing which really matters, more important is the will to gain strenght in order to survive in this world. And the end. Although the manga is still ongoing the end of the anime will satisfy you, you will not want to leave this awesome world of hunters and you will look forward for new adventures which can come because the final episodes opens completely new options for story development.
In conclusion. This is a MUST WATCH 10/10. It is treasure which deserves follow up and much bigger fan base. You will enjoy wast background of the story and the world, varied characters and much more.

Average anime with interesting settings and potential, but both of those are critically wasted. The only things which hold the score on 7 are two of many plain characters and the mystery surrounding the main female protagonist.
Story:
At the beginning the story seems like the main and most interesting part of the show. Private prison, death sentenced prisoners fightng for survival, high school boy with supernatural powers but lack of self-confidence.
Main problem is that the anime has only 12 episodes. There is simply not enought time to tell all the important things in an interesting way, and so we dont know nothing about most of the
...
characters and events and then the writers try to explain everything in last episode - NOT working. Not to mention that there is vast majority of things which are not explained just because this anime does not covers the full manga.
Conclusion: 6/10 for so much wasted potencial and too hasty ending
*Spoilers ahead*
Characters:
About most of the characters we know nothing. They exist simply because story wants more pawns to kill. How I already wrote, there are only two characters which are interesting - Shiro and Crow. But just because of Shiro I gave this anime one or two points bigger score. This simple girl with her crazy second personality as main anime antagonist is just adorable. She always shows in critical moment has some easy but catchy phrase and then either saves everyone or gets ass kicked. Her appearance is also very untraditional, and the background surrounding her childhood has some really strong moments and is very touchy (unfortunately not mentioned in anime - you must read manga)
Conclusion: 8/10 - Shiro rulezz, Crow is badass
*End of Spoilers *
Art and sound:
Other thing which you will remember is good sound setting in thrilling parts, not to mention the great anime opening song. Art could be better in 2011 but its watchable and some details are pretty nice. The whole contrast of the prison which is presented as funny family land vs. gore and bloody things which are happening in the *basement*
Conclusion: 7/10
Summary and final word:
If you like gore action animes with mystery element, this is for you. By far not so good as Mirai Nikky but enjoyable. The one thing which will hold you by the monitor will be Shiro and concern how the whole thing will end (unfortunately unfulfilled due to rushed end).
Overall 7/10

I must admit that this anime really got me. It has original plot, great characters, nice art and mostly - great sence of humor (little bit ecchi, immature but always makes you laugh)
The story is centered about NEET Siblings which are transfered to another world in order to dominate it and in the end challange the God to a game of Chess. Original isnt it? First season is just but a taste of the coplex world and story which will be developed in future runs. But its definitelly worth watching even if its currently incoplete.
How I said, MAIN reason which will keep you by your
...
screen will be the main protgonists. Siblings Sora and Shiro who are always together, even in the bath, are so original, funny, genius and unpredictible that one must love them.
Yes this anime has some Ecchi scenes (lots of them) F.E. with their "Lackey" Dora or even with Shiro and god killing weapon Jibril but they are always very funny and in the sence of the series its not offensive.
What should be also mentioned is that the whole premise of the show is centered about games. Sora and Shiro also known as "Blank" never ever lost a single game. They are literally better than God. The anime has some great scenes (very sophisticated) when they play even some minor games like rock paper scissors but the author managed to add the feeling that even this game can affect the entire world. - Really the only other anime which has some similar sence that playing games matters and is well executed is Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai.
In conclusion - This anime is MUST WATCH for everyone who loves humor and good original stories. I guarantee that all of you will laugh through almost entire season.
Story 10/10
Chars 10/10
Humor 11/10
Overall 10/10

Im writing this review because Im disappointed how the whole thing ended. In a nutshell the series is very good, and I mean VERY good. You will basically laugh from start to end mainly because masterly written characters. BUT there are two things I cannot forgive which in the end droped this sezon score down the on the bottom.
***Minor spoilers ahead***
First thing is the ending. I mean.. WHAT? So bad and opened ending is not acceptable even if the story still isnt completed (manga is still ongoing). The last episode seems like "filling". Yes, there is this awesome fight on the roof with really emotional
...
conclusion, but otherwise?? EH no good I tell you, no good. It seems like our main character Yozora is no more important, so we can just dump her with no explanation and final headlines. END.
I can thing only of one anime which had worse last episode and it was Mayo Chiki! It is funny that in this anime there is even reference on Mayo, so maybe the author inspired himself and did some crappy ending in the favor of that also unfinished romance.
I mean what is the point of watching this series really? It only drives you mad in the end. You will love the characters, love the setting and suddenly it all ends .. ends.. nothing more.
Second thing I hated was this indecisiveness of the main protagonist Kodaka. I mean really? He has only TWO phrases to response to a girl who tries to help him or say she has crush on him, and with that I mean: Oh sorry didnt hear ya, the game is too loud. OR even worse He simply runs away. So dissipointed. In the first season was Kodaka so much better of a character, his deliquesnt like approach even if he didnt want it, and now he is crybaby who runs away in the slightest hint of emotions.
I will again use reference to another anime - the only worse protagonist in his stupidity is Raku from Nisekoi.
So in conclusion, what is the meaning of this I ask?? Why those characters who are so much fun and well writen in casual situations so much suck in the emotional moments which should be main part of this anime. I can thing only of one thing . Author is really bad and dont know how to deal with it. He is not able to write deeper emotional moments but he wants to have it in the show.
WELL, overall score will be 7 because I really laugh my ass out almost during the whole series BUT I cannot go higher due to described reasons.
For the characters I wanted to give straight ten due to Rikas awesome progress and overall good char settings but Kodaka blew it last few episodes. 8/10.
PS: If the rest of the manga will be converted into anime we will all cry, because the ending and final desicion of main hero (who will be his love??) is mindfuck. It only confirms my statement that the author dont what what he is doing.
