This anime starts with a bang. The nervous jittery confession of a not so genius student to the highest scoring high school student in Japan. But her quite passionate love letter is greeted with a definite no in a highly rude manner. Only to come home to a tumbled heap of a house after a slight earth quake jiggled Tokyo, The girl is subjected to another heart renching tragedy. The young girl and her father are welcomed to stay with her fathers old middle school friends to find that the genius boy is the eldest son! The two don't get along. In fact the boy ... refuses to chat with her and even watches the train doors close in her face as she is left to be late for school. He explains coldly that he hates stupid absent minded girls. The rejection is so absolute it is embarrassing. But on one episode later he clams he could love her and even starts talking with her at school. From the beginning I sensed this anime would have a wonderfully dramatic story of how this unsuspecting and highly unlikely couple would come to be, but I was horribly annoyed and quite sad to find that this was not the case at all. This anime has let me down. I was looking for something much more startling like a life dangering drama that would bring to completely different souls into a heart changing decision. But evidently this completely unbelievable couple is inspired only after a couple days of study and a little blackmail!!! ... Disappointed. :( I understand that I've only just started watching this, and my currentopinion is likly to change, but I was just so appalled I needed to get this tragedy off my chest.
