STORY
I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by this little one-shot manga. At first I was disappointed because it appeared to be nothing but a bunch of short stories, which aren't typically my cup of tea. However, I very quickly realized that all of the stories, although they were (mostly) about different couples, were all part of the same universe. That inter-connectivity is what really made this manga a keeper in my eyes.

STORY
This one-shot manga started out with a lot of potential to be something really fabulous. Instead it teased without ever fully delivering; by the end I was left feeling completely unsatisfied. Basically this would make a great beginning to a longer series, but as a one-shot it really falls flat. It leaves far too many open-ended questions. Don't get me wrong, the plot itself is clever, but it promises more than it delivers. ART The style isn't as detailed as I generally prefer and it seems the manga-ka might have an aversion to drawing backgrounds. However, the guys were all very nice-looking ... Mar 4, 2009

Hmm...well, when I first started reading this one I didn't really think I'd like it too much. I have a general aversion to yaoi where the first sexual encounter between the main characters is coerced &/or forced - which is exactly what happens here. Nevertheless, I kept reading and was happily surprised to find the uke's reason's for remaining with the seme afterwards to be almost plausible (something else that doesn't happen too often.) There were also a couple of other twists that deviated from the norm in this type of story which were pleasant surprises, but I'll let you discover those ... |
