Terra e... (TV)

Even from the first few episodes of Terra e, I am brought back to the beginning of Jyu-Oh-Sei. The illustrations appear a little similar, and Soldier Blue has the approximate appearance of Thor with red eyes. But Jyu-Oh-Sei has fewer episodes and therefore moves at a faster pace. However, both anime are breath-taking in that they are set in worlds that have convincing histories as backbones and a diverse cast of characters that grow and develop realistically.

The importance of the natural environment are major themes of both these works, although Miyori no Mori carries more of a fairytale and child-friendly ambience about it.

You see many common areas between Miyori no Mori and Gin'iro no Kami no Agito - especially the theme of protecting the environment one is living in. There is a lead character with a 'sacred' duty to safeguard what is important.

Kyuuketsuhime Miyu (TV)
|
Each episode of Vampire Princess Miyu has the potential to turn into an episode of Jigoku Shoujo because both shows feature characters with plenty of motive for accessing the Hotline to Hell. Also episodic in nature, with some elements of gloom and a pessimistic outlook of human nature and fate.
