Both have very strong, determined female main characters. The girl is always behind the boy in terms of skills and smarts, and it bothers them. They refuse to lose to the boy, and try hard to beat them. The main boys is the one who first liking the girl and they try to make the girls fall for them. They're very popular at school because of their good looks, their kind personalities and their smarts.

If you liked Maoyuu Maou Yuusha add

...then you might like Hataraku Maou-sama! add

Both have a hero, both have a demon king (although it is reversed in Maoyuu). In both we see that the hero (Yuusha) goes to the demon/devil king to destroy them, but instead the hero ends up cooperating one way or another because of different circumstances. Hataraku is like Maoyuu, just set in modern times with less politics and more comedy.
