If you add up a love hating, otaku, unpopular male protagonist, a cold, intelligent, sharp tongued female protagonist, with some equally interesting female protagonists? What do you get? You get two of the best romcom animes in history. Both anime's are set in a school club environment where everyday comedy and romance ensues. Why is this? Because a couple of beautiful female characters going after your average normal male lead character can create some hilariously awkward situations. If you enjoyed one of these anime's, I will bet my underwear that you will say the same about the other.

Infinite Stratos is Absolute Duo with mechas. If you like action with a dab of romance smeared all over I'd recommend you take a jab at either of the two. Both animes start off with your average unaverage teenage boy that has a special power that others don't. They are later both forced into a dorm with a beautiful girl, which in Ichika' case is an old childhood friend, and in Tooru's case it's a girl he never met but is interested in him at first glance. The point is they both forge a strong relationship with each other. But then shazam a whole whorde of females suddenly take interest in him and start seducing them. Needless to say it's pretty much just your generic school/harem/action anime with your generic crew of female protagonists. But I also loved both of them regardless of how much hate IS gets. Just pray that there's no fireworks in absolute duo to ruin a perfect confession. Happy Watching~

An awkward but original romance is a summary for both animes. The two anime's involve an interesting plot filled with creativity and interesting characters. Both anime's have a responsible male lead with a not so responsible female lead who are forced to live under one roof. The female leads both seem like characters who have a few slices short of a loaf. They are shy characters that don't mind being seen naked or near naked. But as time flows they grow accustomed to each other. Both animes involve schools and a harem. If you enjoy innovative animes filled with romance you'll be sure to be entertained by either of them.

Though different in many ways the two animes share some similarities. Both are comedies featuring a self centered teenager that knew next to nothing about what they were going to do. In Sakuragi's case he was going to play basketball which he had never played in his life, and in Kanie's case he had to manage a whole amusement park to meet the next to impossible goal of 500,000 visitors. Another similarity is how the characters in both animes wanted to achieve an unfeasible goal. All of the characters in the anime's have a unique and likable personality that will keep you hooked throughout the entire series. Enjoy~

Though different in setting the two animes share a similar theme. Both are about two boys who have amazing powers and a personal harem. The two stories both involve magic and two very open main female antagonists. Both animes also feature mystical creatures like dragons. If you enjoy a practical romcom with some action, and fantasy thrown in I highly recommend both these animes.
