This story is so incredibly sweet and pure. It's nothing extraordinary or completely original tho, but I had lots of fun reading it.

And I must say the characters are SUPER dumb, but that's one of the things what makes them so likeable. Mikami, the innocent virgin, is really cute and simple, but incredibly straightforward and pure-harted. Sato, Mikami's best friend and roommate, despite being a cool guy without a care in the world is also surprisingly dumb in many ways. They're both so clueless and unintentionally hilarious. Also side characters Akari and Hasegawa are great too. Just love all the characters and their dynamics. ...

But it's not all fun and games. The story has realistic tone to it and deliberately deals with some common problems that people in homosexual relationships face. Akari just shouldn't apologize for expressing it.

The story didn't feel too rushed and it has a heartwarming ending. And I'm really glad that Akari has a spin-off. So if the fluffy story (with a little bit of seriousness thrown in) with great art style and cluless main characters who are slowly discovering their feelings for each other sounds interesting to you, go ahead and try reading this hidden jewel.

First of all this is not a psychological manga so you shouldn't take it too seriously. It's just a fluffy, light hearted yaoi with lots of nice smutty scenes, funny moments and crazy characters. I mean the uke is just too funny. So this is basically a simple story about two horny college students, who both have their own issues but fit together pretty good.

The artwork is interesting because it's not really a typical Japanese manga style. It looks so Western and I felt like the plot was set in America. The characters are so well-drawn so I really didn't mind that uke was too ... skinny. The story is maybe a little underdeveloped but the artwork made up for it.

After the first chapter I honestly forgot I was reading a yaoi and thought that it was just a normal shoujo manga. It gives off such a strong shoujo feel and not because of crossdressing aspect or the feminine uke with long hair or the art style (which is beautiful btw), but because of the story.

At the beginning we see really well-drawn characters, a compelling plot about genre roles and a little bit of humor just enough to keep you interested. But things went downhill from there. This was a basic shoujo cliches like yaoi manga and the focus was definitely NOT on character ... development.

There are also several sex-scenes that do nothing to move the plot along. I was hoping that seme would support uke to finally deny his mother's delusional wishes but I was wrong. Seme is still constantly treating uke as a girl even in bed and he always says to him ‘you’re a good girl’ or calling him ‘my bride’. It’s really annoying because the uke obviously wanted to be seen as a male and the person who he really is and not some “ideal girl” but that wish just disappeared and he suddenly accepts everyone's forced views on him and acts like a girl. I really dislike where the story went although it was so promising at the beginning.

Also the issue of forcing gender identity on child is constantly being masked as comedy. I know yaoi logic is sometimes messed up but seriously there is nothing funny about mother forcing her own son to be a perfect girl. There is also a groom’s older brother who acts like a crazy stalker and attempted rape scene which was totally unnecessary.

So if you want to read a “cute” yaoi with a shoujo side to it, this one is for you. But if you’re searching for something deeper and more serious you won’t find it here.

It certainly sounded promising at the beginning and I was so hyped but honestly I just ended up being disappointed. From the first episode it was obvious that DIVE!! was aiming for a kind of Free! vibe where you have beautiful, muscular guys and a little bit of sport-related drama but this anime just went down the wrong path I guess.

The two main flaws are nonexistent plot line and poor character development. I mean plot is nonexistent even if you turn your head like 180 degrees. All characters do is talk talk talk. And no, they’re not explaining us diving rules or anything ... about the sport. They’re basically only encouraging each other to be better and reach some major competitions like Olympics but ironically when the time for those competitions finally comes, anime just skips them like they didn’t even happened. So sometimes it’s really confusing. And sadly often is just the beginning of the jumps shown or how it ended. And I’m like did the character even jump? Is this really a sports anime? Also the characters are really plain and their development is so poorly done that sometimes it’s just frustrating to watch. Their main goal was to reach Olympics and everything revolved around that goal. It was of course nothing new and the story was similar to other sports anime but somehow it kept me interested. I was wondering how will they do it and can they even reach that level and so on. But then the main character went downhill towards the end of series and for some random reason just destroyed the whole point of this anime. I was at shock like wft just happened.

So if you’re looking for a quality sports anime with satisfyingly realistic factor or you’re just looking for something similar to Free! because you miss our Kyoto Animation's water boys, I wouldn't seek it here if I was you.

What to expect from Nisekoi manga? *no spoilers*

1. Promising but poorly made harem love story that goes nowhere
2. A bunch of poorly developed stereotypical characters
3. Side characters that don’t quite fit story's plot and are not used very well
4. Lack of originality and obvious plot development with no surprises
5. 229 chapters are just too much
6. Yet another unnatural, unrealistic and forced ending
7. Well drawn manga with a strong visual appeal

The story started out cliche, but it was strong and interesting so I was immediately caught up in this love triangle trying to found out who was the mystery girl from Raku’s past. I also ... enjoyed watching main characters in all those typical high school situations. But at some point it all started to go downhill. The middle part has no development at all so in my opinion there is absolutely no need for 229 chapters. At some points I thought of giving up on the manga because some of the chapters were just plain and pointless. It was painful to read although comedy was somewath good. The end was also disappointing and because it was annoyingly obvious. And characters? Don't even get me started on that. I mean three poorly developed tsundere characters in a harem? A bit too much won't you say? Overall I didn't enjoy this manga at all but surprisingly I started liking one of the main characters, Onodera, so it wasn’t all bad. And I really like the artwork too.

This is basically manga with threesome and a lot of smutty scenes. At first I thought it has a potential and the story started really good but in the end it wasn’t satisfying enough. The storyline definitely deserved more work because it has no sense and also the lack of character development is noticeable. This entire three way relationship just felt weird and confusing. It seemed uke was about to choose Kitada over Nishimura and just after Kitada finally confessed to him and it seemed they’re kinda in love with each other the whole thing was suddenly dismissed and left me confused. I mean I ... like that there is no unnecessary psychological stuff or bad vibes between the characters (just a little bit of jealousy) and not to mention uke really enjoyed sex but for me the story was just so unnatural and confusing. The relationship between characters was not fully developed. But the art was really nice. Smut scenes were insanely hot and all the characters have pretty faces and gorgeous manly bodies.

On the plus side one-shot Midnight☆Dancer was really enjoyable. A story about a stripper and the bodyguard was cute. It had a lot of smut and sexual tension and it definitely needs continuation.

This story is absolutely adorable. It’s about misunderstood guy with a scary face making friends with cool looking and really kind guy. The plot isn't exactly anything new, except for the “love allergy” (well it’s not really an allergy, more like fear of being betrayed again and not letting people near). It’s a slow-romance story with two emotionally confused university students trying to figure out their feelings for each other and also having their own struggles.

However, I loved the interaction between those two main characters and the lead up to the relationship. Such a matched couple. Shougo was a little scary at the ... beginning but he was actually really adorable and kind-hearted and also a crybaby (“Hina is the cute one"?? Did you see yourself Shougo?). And Hina was quite cool and manly at the end (just a regular guy).

Not to mention that when I read the first chapter I thought for sure that uke was actually the seme but at the end it was a pleasant surprise. Also I wasn’t really sure why this was yaoi and not shounen ai gender but everything was clear at the end. The H-scenes were smutty, cute and a little bit funny although they were censored. Not bad at all. Also I really want Harumi and Akio's side story.

If you’re looking for something cute and satisfying to read with a good, quick dose of love and awesome art I truly recommend this manga.

I had no idea I would enjoy this manga so much. Honestly, I was expecting a stereotyped plot and much more smut, stupidity and drama. But instead I was caught up in a heartwarming and gentle friendship-into-love story with so much potential and amazing art. Characters are really likeable and well developed (not to mention I’m a total sucker for long hair uke so I particularly loved Seina's design). The mangaka is very skilful. Beautiful art with some striking tattoo designs, unique storyline with great flow and no unnecessary parts and loveable characters made it worth reading. I really had fun.

Oh wow! I was not expecting that! After reading the first chapter, I honestly didn’t expect anything interesting. It seemed like typical "guy bullies the one he likes to get attention" theme and I was constantly waiting for Hideaki to push Tomo down and “rape” him (like usual yaoi development). But it was surprisingly cute and I never saw it coming. I actually really liked it and totally adored this couple. They were both too insecure to admit their feelings openly but Hideaki managed to manipulate Tomo to fall in love with him not in aggressive but rather in a cute way. Art is gorgeous, ... uncensored, with some smut. And uke is seriously attractive and hot as hell. Well maybe the roles needed to be reversed (at some point it led me to think the other guy was uke and I was a little bit confused) but it’s interesting to see something that’s not so predictable. Overall it was pretty different and also funny. Childhood friends are one of my weaknesses so I really enjoyed reading it.

Kagewani: Shou is the second season of Kagewani series. I would recommend watching it after you finish the first season because some parts could be a little bit confusing if you jump directly into the second one. And for you who already watched the first season and enjoyed it, you must definitely watch the second one too, because it’s amazing.

The episodes are pretty much all connected together and the plot is really exciting and easy to follow because it mostly revolves around Banba and his fight with Kagewani. The origin of Kagewani is also explained and there are some interesting new characters and new types ... of monsters as well. Some of the old characters will also appear but in a new light. The animation is beautiful and unique and the storyline is chilling and tense. The show ended on a massive cliffhanger, so hopefully there will be a season three.
