(I apologize in advance for my less than perfect english)
So let's talk about this show, this show is a rom- com that actually shows romantic progression in the show and it does so in an amazing, realistic and heartwarming way. This show was one of the most enjoyable shows I ever watched, at first...
story 7/10:
The first half of this show is an absolute 10 in almost every way, I never had an anime make me so happy and had me wanting more after each episode. And why is that, cause the first half has really well done pacing and it actually focuses on miyamura and

hori, and their relationship, and it was amazing. The second half on the other hand, while still good, it's not as good, to put it simply the first half focused more on miyamura and hori and the romance aspect of the show, while the second half focused on the side characters and the comedy side of it all. While it did result in the side characters becoming more interesting and relatable, which would have been great if not for the low amount of episodes this show had, that it tried to make up for it by increasing the speed and pacing of the show, which resulted in the show feeling rushed. But despite all the negative things I said, I still really enjoyed the second half, and I love the other characters, and not to mention the fact it has brought up some of my favorite moments in the entire show.
Overall the first half of the show is in my opinion a masterpiece, and while the second half is not nearly as good, it's still really good.
Art 10/10:
The art in this show is incredible, the overall design is amazing and pleasing to look at, and whenever there is an important moment during the show between two characters, it will set a white background while only showing the characters and a silhouette of them, which can result in absolutely amazing and mesmerizing scenes.
Sound 9/10:
The music is amazing, it can set the mood perfectly right and is a huge reason for the incredible mesmerizing scenes I mentioned before. And whenever they decide to play that amazing and emotional piece of music that can bring on the feels.
Characters 10/10:
Without a doubt, this is the highlight of the show, with Miyamura and Hori of course being the best. They have a surprising amount of depth to them, and it's very enjoyable to watch as their relationship grows. And that's without even mentioning the other characters, which are almost as enjoyable to watch as the main two. The characters are some of the most relatables characters I have ever seen. The chemistry between the characters (especially hori and miyamura of course) is outstanding, it's realistic and enjoyable, absolutely heartwarming and it's the main reason why I had so much fun with this show.
Enjoyment 10/10:
I'm a sucker for a good romance story , and this show was everything I ever wanted in a rom com slice of life, it had fun and enjoyable comedy and the romance was amazing and nothing could compare to it, it wasn't afraid to make actual progress between the main two, and each important point that we saw in the relationship felt significant and realistic. It kind of felt as tho it was the opposite of Love Is War (which I also love), while Love Is War focused way more on the comedy part of a rom com, Horimiya (for the most part) focused much more on the romance part of it, which made for a while not as funnier show, a much more wholesome, heartwarming and realistic take of a romance anime.
Overall 9/10:
I love Horimiya to death, the first half felt nothing short of magical, and the second half while also great, felt a bit rushed and not as amazing as the first. I never enjoyed a show this much and I would love to see maybe someday down the line a remake of some sort to this anime, cause I honestly believe that if the second half wasn't as rushed and would have kept more of a focus on the main two and the relationship between them this show would have been in the top 50 at least.
