This is trash with no redeeming qualities. It's successor, Eromanga-sensei, is superior in every way imaginable.
OreImo presents a closet otaku who learns nothing about what makes a good friend. She doesn't want to reveal her hobbies to her friends because they won't accept them; this is a quality that nullifies the title "friend." A friend is someone who accepts you for who you are and doesn't have a problem with your hobbies, even if they don't necessarily enjoy/agree with them. Eromanga-sensei presents the complete opposite. Sagiri makes friends who love and accept her for who she is and those friendships are presented as of

the highest value. The message in OreImo is very problematic.
As for the content itself - OreImo is too tame. When dealing with a character whose obsession is imouto eroge and doujinshi, the content of the show should reflect that. Again, this is where Eromanga-sensei far surpasses OreImo. Both shows deal with risque subject matter but OreImo is exceptionally bland with no risque or suggestive content where Eromanga-sensei abounds with it. If the message of these shows is saying to embrace the things you love and destigmatize otaku culture, the content should reflect that. Present the risque content in a way that draws the viewer in and helps them to accept it and eventually enjoy it before they even realize they've been drawn in. OreImo does none of this; Eromanga-sensei does this flawlessly.
There are plenty of negative reviews you can read about how terrible the titular little sister is, so I won't even bother going into that here, but she's certainly infuriating.
Don't waste your time on this show. Or do - watch some of it and give it an abysmal rating so others will be discouraged from watching it as well.
